This book was fabulous. From witches, demons, shifters, supernaturals, and mates this book had a little bit of everything. Would recommend!

Thank you, NetGalley, for an eARC for my honest review. I haven't read book 1 of the Supernatural Singles series, but that didn't deter me from devouring this one. I absolutely loved the banter between Rose and Damian.
The fact that we have some of our favorite tropes, including forced proximity, a good girl with a bad boy, a one-night stand, and opposites attracted. I'm probably missing more, but these should be the ones roping you in.
Rose Maxwell is looking to find her new path in life after giving up her position as a Prima Apparent (head witch, watch out). When she has a one-night stand with Damian Adams, a grumpy half-demon veterinarian. They both think they'll never cross paths again, and what do you know... they do. You can only imagine how this plays out. The two interact again due to circumstances, and the pieces all fall into place.
Rose and Damian have magnetic chemistry from the moment they meet, and reading about them fighting every page makes the story much more enjoyable. and they fight it at every turn, which makes the angst SO good. If any of that tickled your fancy, read and enjoy!

This was a fun follow-up to Not the Witch You Wed. Rose is a little lost but is eager to figure out her own place in the world. Meanwhile, Damien is just trying to keep to himself. I liked seeing Rose find herself while also helping Damien find a way to continue living on his own terms. It was interesting to see the push and pull between what might be Rose’s calling and the things the haunt Damien most about his past.
As with the last book, I really love the support network that both main characters have, especially Rose. They’re a little zany, but if Rose needs anything, they’ve got her covered. Need a job? Harper knows a guy. Need some information? Olive will figure it out. Need to stage an impromptu mission? Violet will borrow her fiancé‘s SUV. Need someone to run interference on your mother’s matchmaking attempts? You’re on your own kid. She tried to set up Gran, too!

I was not a fan of the writing style of this book, and could not make it past the first 50 pages. I normally enjoy both romance and fantasy elements, but this book was just not for me.

I love a good spooky rom com and this hit almost everything on my checklist.
Rose and Damian’s chemistry was undeniable from the start. And their denial of it made everything so much better. I love a romance full of angst. And the supernatural elements made it so much more fun to read.
I highly recommend reading this around Halloween to get into the season. I’m so happy I was able to read this.

A fantastic, quirky, and wonderful read! I really enjoyed this book starting from page one. My type of rom-com book has a flare of fantasy, lots of banter back and forth, and a slow burn. This book gave me everything I wanted and more. With supernatural elements set in present day, it is magical realism/low fantasy fiction with sisterly & family love, a handsome, broody MMC, and irresistible rescue animals! Who wouldn’t love this?!
Rose Maxwell, the middle sister of the Maxwell triplets, has recently been released from her Prima witch duties as her older sister finally received her powers. Now that Rose is able to do whatever she wants, she has no clue what she wants (typical, right?). She decides rule-breaking is top of her list of activities to try, now that she is not under the strict guidance of the reigning Prima, her grandmother Edie. One night of rule-breaking sets Rose down a path of serving community service hours at an animal sanctuary. Lucky for her, it’s with grumpy and handsome veterinarian, Damian Adams. Damian is half demon and has secrets of his own - his bad boy attitude comes from years of fighting and Hunting, taking down other demons. Rose learns that Damian’s hard exterior might just be all bark - but she doesn’t know why he keeps everyone at arms length. Damian, of course, has a secret. He doesn’t allow himself close to anyone, or to develop feelings, because of the curse that has been set upon him by an ex.
The banter between Rose and Damian was great - I audibly laughed out loud several times in this book. I came into this book blind (after getting the ARC approval) and have not read the first Supernatural Singles book - it wasn’t necessary. I will be adding them to my list now, though! The Maxwell sisters stole my heart and I will come back to this series solely for their sisterly bond. Can they adopt me, please?!
If you’re a fan of “I hate everyone but you,” forced proximity, “who hurt you”, or grump/sunshine, you’ll love this book.
I would give it a 5 star rating and 3 spice rating.
Thank you Net Galley and April Asher for this read!

Rose Maxwell has trained all her life to become the next Prima on the Supernatural Council. But after stepping down, it’s time to focus on herself and find her “thing” and not think about her one-night stand with hot, half-demon veterinarian Damian Adams. After getting sentenced into doing community service at his animal sanctuary it becomes impossible to ignore their sparking attraction. Neither wants a relationship, so what better solution than an FB arrangement?
First off, this gave me Charmed vibes! (I haven’t seen Buffy or Supernatural, but I’m sure the vibe is a mixture of all these worlds, lol). Rose and Damian are sunshine and grumpy, for sure. Rose is admirable in her determination to find her “thing” and help the sanctuary. Damian may think himself as a heartless demon but he has a soft spot for animals and a certain witch. They may banter like enemies yet they have more in common than they think and it’s not just their attraction for each other.
While well aware this is part of a series, I haven’t read the first one and I really should. I enjoyed the dynamics between the sisters and the other characters. I can’t wait to read about the youngest sister next!

Not Your Ex's Hexes by April Aher is book #2 in the Supernatural Singles series. I loved Rose and Damien's story! It was so much fun to read. The dialogue was very entertaining and the characters are quite likeable. This is a great addition to the series.
I received an ARC and this is my honest review.

I actually really enjoyed this book, it was a warm cute romance, like if the hallmark channel ran a Halloween special and they used the word “f*ck”. I don’t know if that makes sense but it’s the best way I know how to describe the way this book made me feel. It’s not a fade-to-black romance but I could easily see it being made for a tv movie. And my point in saying that is that it’s not bad at all —maybe I just read too much dark romance and this just seemed really warm to me.
It felt a little campy at times, like calling people “bwitch”. Or using names like “Mr. Grumpy-pants”. But that’s just a personal preference and me being nit-picky about my personal taste. The point is though, that’s all the “negative” (if you can even call it that) that I have about this book.
I really loved both Rose and Damien, and am PINING for an Olive x Bax story. But I digress. This is a one-night stand to lovers. With a lot of wholesome supernatural thrown in. I think the world is cool and the supernatural community and norm community makes for an entertaining read!
I received this book as an eARC from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. Thanks to the publishers and author for the opportunity to read it! Can’t wait to get a physical copy!

This is the first book I read in the trilogy, so I had no idea what to expect... But... Damian and Rose?? Omg I LOVE THEM, she is funny, smart and sweet, and he... not so much haha I love grumpy guys like him.
I really enjoyed it, it was funny and romantic... I can't wait to read Oliv's book! And in the meantime, I'll read Vi and Linc's story!

I was pleasantly surprised with this one. I went in thinking this was going to be just a decent PNR book but I ended up really enjoying this one. I loved both MCs they had amazing chemistry but I also loved all the side characters. This had a lot of laugh out loud moments and lots of steamy scenes too. I need to go back and read the first book and I cant wait for the next story in this series!

I adored this book! The chemistry between the two main characters was spot on! It is an easy, quick, and HEA read. There is nothing to not like about it! If you are looking for a fun and sexy paranormal romance look no farther than this series. It has everything you would want. Sexy scenes, times where you laugh out loud, a group of friends that fits the ‘found family’ trope. Oh did I mention puppies?!

I received a digital copy of this book from Netgalley. I hadn't read the first in the series, but I definitely plan to, after reading this second book.
I loved the characters, and really enjoyed the world in which this story is set. It didn't require much world building, it was sort of like the author added this world on top of the one we live in, which made it easy to believe that there are demons, angels, shifters, vampires, and witches.
From the meet-cute until the end, I couldn't wait to find out what happened next. I wanted to stay in this world! I look forward to finding out what happens to the third triplet in the next book (and I happened upon the first in the series at the library, so excited to read Vi's story)!

I absolutely loved this book. Rose was such a realistic and beautiful character, one I found myself gravitating toward. Watching Rose find herself, was such a validating experience, because it was one that we often find ourselves exploring. I was able to connect with her on a level that went beyond the surface, that it made me so proud to see her find a place where she could live for herself. It was so refreshing watching her be brave and take charge of her life, when she had so often found herself unsure of where she was going in life, with all the changes that she had going on.
This book is completely worth picking up and reading. For anyone who has never truly felt a concrete purpose in life, it will be such a validating experience, full of undeniable chemistry and witty banter. In short, you need to read this book.

I loved this book even more than the first in the series!! if book 3 is not Olive’s story I will be devastated, it is set up beautifully.
Damian…. Can I have him? He is the whole package!! He and Rose complement each other perfectly. My only disappointment was the ending. I would have liked to see more, but the time was spent setting up book three. I expect to see more of this story interwoven into book three.

First of all thank you to NetGalley for this ARC. Spoilers* I am a sucker for a witchy romance and this one definitely checked that box. This book is the second in this series and follows another Maxwell sister as the main female lead and a grumpy demon as the main male. Their romance is very sweet, and as they started off as a FWB situation, lots of spicy moments. The romance plot was a fun one to read and I loved the familial moments too. The banter between sisters and their grandmother was caring and funny and made the story more than just about Rose and Damian’s relationship.
Now the things I didn’t love, for me the length of the book was a little bit of negative. It’s not enough for me not read it and enjoy it but it just seemed long. And the only other thing was the abundance of additional characters. I could keep up for the sisters and guy friends but everyone else got a bit confusing in my opinion.
Overall 3/5 stars and would recommend if you love a paranormal romance, grumpy/sunshine, strong women, and family drama.

OH my gosh is all I have to say about this book!! I am the biggest fan of all things witchy and rom coms!! This was so cheeky choppy in the best way. It was funny and kept my interest. It was a super fast pace read. It was super cute, and fun read. If you are a lover of witchy books then read this series!!! I absolutely loved it.

I received an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review.
Not Your Exs Hexes is the second book in the Supernatural Singles series. Following the story of Rose and Damian, a witch and half demon with a one-night stand history. Rose convinces her sisters and best friend to rescue some horses and instead she gets community service with the vet and one-night stand Damian. Their attraction to one another is undeniable but will they go any further than just friends with benefits?
When I picked up this book I didn’t realize it was the second in a series, while I am missing some back stories to side characters in this book. I was able to read it and understand what was going on.
This book was such a delight to read. The story and the writing together made it a really enjoyable read. Rose is the middle triplet and she is trying to find her place in life now that her older sister Vi, is prima apparent.
I really loved Rose’s journey with finding herself now that her life is going in a new direction. She could have been overly positive about it or she could have felt sorry for herself. Instead she knows she has to work and it will have its ups and downs. When she is given community service with Damian she isn’t thrilled but she embraces it so quickly.
Damian is a vet and has an animal sanctuary. Warning the animals in his care in this story have sad backstories. There are brief mentions of this in the story. There is also a stressful puppy rescue scene. The animals in this story are ok and do get their own HEA.
I really loved the relationship and dynamic between Rose and Damian. You can see just how well the balance one another out.
Part of me wishes that the action in this book was a little more intense. It was good and there were some mildly tense moments. Yet there were a few scenes that if they have been a little more intense I think they would have been slightly stronger.
I absolutely loved the few little nods to supernatural shows and movies!
There is some spice in this book. A few scenes that are adult.
I would recommend this book to anyone who loves supernatural, witchy, contemporary romance.
I will also be checking out book one sometime soon too. I can’t wait for book three I have some suspicions as to what will happen there.

This was too much fun to read. The sibling banter, the romance banter, the build up. The chemistry is so intertwined with the plot the romance just makes so much sense. I loved it.

Not Your Ex’s Hexes is second in the Supernatural Singles series, based around a trio of witch sisters. I didn’t read the first before this, and while this one kicked right in with assuming the reader understood this world and how supernatural society worked, I didn’t take too long for me to figure it out. I like that this story is told from both the man and woman lead perspective, and the dynamic between them felt real. On the other hand, the book as a whole felt really long, and there were a ton of secondary characters. A few bits of clunky dialogue that made me roll my eyes (the sisters call each other “bwitches” as an insult which is full body cringe), but overall it was cute.
