This was such a fun read! I loved the banter and the tension in this book. It was a great sequel to the Not the Witch You Wed. I loved being back in this world and learning more about the family. I really loved this.

I really liked the idea of this more than the execution. It’s a cute rom com, but I ended up DNFing because the author kept adding cute little witchy touches to the world, but there wasn’t any magic.

It was cute. Sometimes though the banter takes away from the story and it felt like a lot of the magic wasn't that well explained.

I understand this this is part of a series, and that I have not read book 1., I am thinking that I should. This book had some great interactions between the sisters and the other characters. I enjoyed the dynamics and the banter between the sisters and the other characters. I really enjoyed this book and before I read the next one I am going to go back and read the first one of the series.

After reading and enjoying book 1, I knew I wanted to try continuing on with this series. I love the concept of powerful triplet witches in a contemporary/paranormal world. However, this series, while fun in concept, doesn't seem to deliver the way that I want.

Our heroine in this book has spent her life preparing to take over as the matriarch of the witches. However, when her older sister finally comes into her power, our heroine finally gets to decide her own future. Unfortunately she has no idea what she wants that future to look like.

In her attempt to figure it out, she finds herself doing community service with her grumpy, half demon, one night stand. What she doesn't know, is that the hero is cursed to lose his soul if he ever falls in love.

I loved the concept of this romance. The layer of forbiddance created so much tension to their budding romance. I also love a tortured hero with a secret soft center - which Damian definitely fit!

But I just felt like this book never quite landed the delivery. There were plenty of good moments, but nothing that ever left me breathless or desperate for more.

The characters, while fine, weren't overly complex or deeply developed. Instead it feels like everyone fits a role and purpose. The sisters, in particular, almost feel like caricatures of their given roles.

I think this book, and series as a whole, is fun and lighthearted. But not something that will stand out in my mind. Because of that, I don't think it's a series I'll be continuing with either.

If you're in the market though for more lighthearted contemporary, witchy stories this is still one worth checking out. Despite my lackluster feelings on it, I don't think there is anything outright wrong with this book. I was just left wanting more from it.

Book #2 in the Supernatural Singles, witches, demons, shifters and magic. Can be read as a stand-alone but better as part of the series. Rose Maxwell, the former Prima Apparent is looking to find her new path in life after giving up her position. When she has a one night stand with Damian Adams, a grumpy half demon veterinarian, neither party thinks that they’ll cross paths again. The relationship between Rose and Damian is a complex one. The banter and flirting between Rose and Damian had me smiling the whole time. I liked the theme of finding your place and being a hot lost mess, and having a group of friends who would never give up on you.

I’ve tried to read this book 2 different times and am just completely uninterested. I wanted to like this one so badly because I love witchy romances, but I’m DNFing. Thanks anyway for the ARC — hoping others love this one more.

These are just a breath a fresh air. There is something so fun about this world April has created and these are good humored without feeling campy. I like campy, but sometimes it's not the mood you are looking for and this hits the right tone.

This novel follows one of the other characters from "Not the Witch You Wed", Rose, and while I don't think you would have to read book 1, I recommend you do. It really sets up this world, the political climate, and what makes Rose really start her search for herself and to kind of carve her own path in life.

This is one for fans of the grumpy/sunshine trope, family drama, and humor. Asher is a total delight!

In the follow up to Asher's Not the Witch You Wed, we are thrown back into world of Rose and her two sisters are triplet witches and best friends.

When the triplets decide to liberate some abused horses, they learn that the place is an animal sanctuary run by half-demon veterinarian Damian. Rose is sentenced to do community service at the sanctuary, and realizes that Damian is the man with whom she had a memorable one night stand with.

Damian and Rose agree to a friends with benefits relationship--Damian fears getting too involved because of a hex put on him by an ex-girlfriend. that will make him lose his humanity.

This one was a little bit too much for me -there was too much of a focus on sex, to the point where it was almost crude. Unfortunately, just not my cup of tea.

Another fantastic book by April Asher! I have enjoyed both of the books in the Supernatural Singles so far. I am excited to keep reading this series in the future.

In this book, we follow the middle sister, Rose Maxwell, who until the events of book 1, had been training to be the next Prima of the Supernatural Council. She has since stepped down to allow her older sister to take her rightful place as the next Prima. During an event, she ends up having a one-night stand with a handsome half demon veterinarian, Damian Adams.

Months later, they can't stop thinking about that one night stand and because of some decisions, Rose ends up volunteering at Damian's animal sanctuary. Their attraction is too much so they eventually decide to be friends with benefits. And that is where the story just goes on from there!

I loved the banter and relationship between Rose and Damian. They both were fantastic characters to follow and root for. So much angst, hexes, dangers, and lust that they have to deal with together.

The only reason I didn't give this book a 5 star is because I thought at times, this book was a bit too long. Nevertheless, I would recommend this to all romcom readers and those looking for a cute and steamy witchy romance.

I wish I liked this!!! The entire plot was something I would have frothed at the mouth for but it took me 6 MONTHS to actually read... It was just not something that dragged me in and clung to me and that makes me sad

I love witchy books, I love romance- but something about a witchy romance just doesn’t work for me. I’ve read so many by so many talented authors, and I can’t do it.

The steam was fun and I enjoyed the banter, but I zoned out through much of it. I just wants captured. Plus Damian sucked.

This book was just okay, and I really didn't get as attached as the first book in the series. I feel like it started off strong, but then the book overall fell somewhat flat for my taste.

Super great romance book about a witch and a demon. There were moments I laughed out loud, but it was also very heartfelt at different parts. Great read!

A delightful follow-up to Not The Witch You Wed. Focusing on the older sister, Asher weaves an enemies-to-lovers romance between two people who are trying to prove themselves more than the family name. Plenty of laughs, humor, paranormal hijinks, romance, and family drama to keep the reader entertained.

This was so well written. I was engrossed from the first page and it ticked all the boxes of my expectations. The character development was excellent. I would definitely recommend to others, a must read!

This took me a while to finish and review but that's due solely in part to a reading slump (and life)

I adored this novel! My FIRST five-star novel for 2023. I took so long as although I had the E-ARC, I wanted to annotate my physical ARC copy. There were moments that were heartwarming and there were moments that were incredibly heart wrenching.

I did love the first installment in the series (5-star in 2022), and I'm usually so hesitant about sequels in companion novels but I'm thrilled to report that I adored this one as much as the first.

I would add a quote, although I typically don't like spoilers in my reviews. Just imagine a pink book full of complementing-pink tabs. I loved the setting, the individual character arcs, ALL the side characters, and of course, the sweet romance between Rose and Damian. Mind you, it does have its steamy moments and innuendos though that's all blended so well with romantic and comedic moments.

Vi and Linc (the first book's couple) were being setup as the ultimate power couple in their novel. Rose and Damian flipped that storyline when their character developments pivot them away from what they grown up being told to do and now reinventing themselves as adults for different paths.

I LOVE IT. I have no criticism other than playful criticism for being impatient for the next installment of this fantastic witchy-romcom series!

This is book 2 of the series and while I didn’t read the first book, it worked as a standalone in my opinion but I will be going back and getting book one and experiencing this all again!

I was really excited to read this novel after enjoying the first in the series but unfortunately it fell a little flat for me.

Things I Liked:
-The magical world that Asher has built for these novels is fantastic. There are so many different magical figures and the way they are able to freely use their abilities within their town and community is really awesome. Too many fantasy novels have too little magic in them, but that is not an issue here.
-Interactions between The Maxwell triplets are always my favorite, the sisters love each other so much. It was also great seeing Violet so much in this one.
-The chemistry between the two MCs was great and Rose finally got someone who puts her needs first.
-The soul hex and the history behind it. Loved how that all played out.
-Rose working at the sanctuary

What Didn’t Work For Me:
-I just really didn’t jive with the bounty hunter career path and the journey to get there. It just didn’t seem like it made sense for Rose and seemed really forced. This was a big part of the storyline so it really impacted my enjoyment of the novel.

The audiobook narrator was great, I think that’s why I was able to finish this book instead of DNFing it once the bounty hunting piece started taking shape. I will definitely pick up the next novel in this series, because I really want to know Olive’s story and I have a feeling Bax will be a big part of that!
