The Devian Magic series is becoming a favorite and this one is even better than the first instalment I read.
Well developed world building, likeable and fleshed out characters, action and humour.
Love it and can't wait to read other stories set in in this world.
Highly recommended.
Many thanks to the publisher for this arc, all opinions are mine

I absolutely loved this book and the characters. Some might find it a simple read but I loved it. The character and world building and relatable characters, stellar. Not everyone has James Bond skills or looks. As the old saying goes, teamwork makes the dream work, even if the team is chaotic.

It is a one sitting read and a standalone within the series.

Intriguing characters and world-building. I wish the narrative was not so simple and more descriptive, but it still was easy to follow. Overall a nice read!

Decent read, not what I normally pick up. I had a little trouble getting into it at times. Overall, enjoyed it.

2.5 stars. Sadly for me this book was confusing and just not my cup of tea but! It was fun and it is a pretty fun read if that’s what you’re looking for. For me also the character were just a little forgetful besides Ren.

This was another great entry in the Deviant Magic series, this had what I enjoyed from the previous entries. It had what I enjoyed from the four entries, the world felt like the same and I had a good time reading this. The magic elements worked really well and it worked with the characters in this. The characters were great and added to my enjoyment. I look forward to more from this universe and look forward to more from Scott Colby.

"Ren scanned the bottles lined up along the wall to the bartender’s left. His usual was nowhere to be found. He felt surprisingly fine with that. “Shot o’ well whiskey and a light beer chaser,” he said as he lowered himself onto the stool closest to the wall. Fake brown leather crackled under his weight."
