This is a really funny children's Christmas book, which my daughter and I loved.

The story is about Santa, who forgets to wear a part of his outfit, which leads to a bit of a disaster for him, although it is funny for us to see. Luckily, he meets a little boy who helps him with what he needs.

The book has beautiful, vibrant and colourful graphics, and easy to read text, which we really enjoyed.

I highly recommend this awesome book. It is fantastic and it would make a great gift for any child.

Many thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for a copy of this book.

I received a copy of this book through Netgalley. This is my honest review.

This was a fun little rhyming story that had almost a Night Before Christmas vibe to it for me. I think most kids imagine catching Santa in the act, but this particular child gets to see way more than he bargained for. And it was nice that his immediate instinct was to help Santa out.

The illustrations had a timeless, classic feel to them, but were still plenty bright and colorful to draw the attention of young eyes. And I wouldn't have hated reading this book to my children a few times at least.

Overall I give this 4.2 out of 5 stars.

Review of I Saw Santa's Underpants: A Funny Rhyming Christmas Story for Kids Ages 4-8 by Bobbie Hinman.
This funny picture book tells the story of Santa’s misfortunes after he forgets his suspenders.
The story teaches children about kindness, problem-solving, initiative, and creativity! It is written in rhymes and is very easy to read. The illustrations are very descriptive and follow the narrations perfectly!
I give it 5 out of 5 stars and recommend it to all children and parents who like a bit of giggle during the holiday period. It’s a very funny book for some quality family time!

I am not sure how I feel about this one. On the face of it, it's a cute story told in verse about what would happen if Santa forgets to put on his suspenders. But it somehow seemed odd that a little boy had a glimpse of Santa's undies in the middle of the night. Eh, I understand that it's innocent enough, but it just seemed odd. I don't know.

The rhymes are smooth and the illustrations are adorable. Just be well aware going in that it could be triggering to some. This isn't a book that I would gift to people if I didn't know how they would react to it.

I have many friends with young children and this will be an excellent gift for me to give them this holiday season.

I Saw Santa’s Underpants is a hilarious rhyming story that will set a child’s imagination alight. It might be the Christmas book recommendation of the season.

The story was okay, the rhyming was a bit off at times and I did not understand why they made such a huge deal out of Santa's underpants. And spoiler alert, I thinks it's very unlikely to someone climbing down a chimney and only loosing his pants in front of the tree.

🎅 Written in verse (with a perfect cadence I might add), this cute story is all about Santa forgetting to put on his suspenders before he heads out to deliver presents! The story and the adorable illustrations will make your kids laugh out loud!

🎅 There is only a brief peek at Santa’s underpants, and it is quite funny!

🎅 The solution to keeping Santa’s pants up for the rest of the night is quite creative.

🎅 Seriously, go buy this book NOW! Your kids will love it and I daresay it will become a family favorite that will be read over and over every Christmas!

🎅 This book is 39 pages and the targeted reading age is 4 to 8 years old.

Thank you @NetGalley and @BooksGoSocialGroup for an eARC of this book, which I have read and reviewed honestly and voluntarily.

I Saw Santa's Underpants is a lovely Christmas book to enjoy with all the family! The illustrations are absolutely amazing, with a clear intention linking to the text. The writing is amazingly written with rhyming words and so a hint of humour throughout!

It highlighted how problem solving can take time and multiple changes in order to be right, from the shower curtain to the bandana's to make suitable suspenders for Santa.

I would highly recommend this book to parents who have young children.

Thank you to BooksGoSocial, Bobbie Hinman and NetGalley for the advance copy of I Saw Santa's Underpants. I read this with my 6-year-old daughter and asked her for her review as, after all, she is the target demographic for this book.

She enjoyed the story, after an initial language-usage-confusion caused a look of absolute horror to appear on her face (much to my amusement). <<In the UK, "pants" are colloquial for "underwear", not "trousers". It's a good thing that she didn't know that "suspenders" are a piece of racy lingerie, and that the UK's equivalent to the USA's "suspenders" are "braces".>> So when Santa's pants fell down, she initially thought the old man had rather horrifyingly exposed himself entirely to a little boy...

Once the confusion was cleared up, she enjoyed the story, although she was of the opinion she was a little bit "too old" for it and I agree it is best aimed at children age five and younger.

Unfortunately, both of us did not like the illustrations at all. In my daughter's words, they were "boring", in my more adult interpretation, they are simply layered clipart. They really let the entire book down.

My daughter asked me to give this book three out of five stars. The story got four stars from her, but we both thought the illustrations took away a star.

A delightfully silly festive tale that is likely to have your wee ones smiling and giggling, as young Max sees more than he expects one Christmas Eve. Vivid illustrations accompany this rhyming story that scans reasonably well and is likely to prove pretty re-readable.

This cheerful, laugh out loud rhyming Christmas tale, I Saw Santa’s Underpants, from Bobbie Hinman will have both adults and children chuckling gleefully at the antics poor Santa has to go through to keep his trousers in the right place.
It is that time of the year when Santa has to set about delivering the many presents to children all over the world. So he goes to his closet, pulls out the right suit with the lovely big shiny black belt and heads off to his sleigh.
The Elves have been hard a work stuffing all the stocking full. They load up the Sleigh and off Santa goes, dashing through the night skies. He arrives at Max’s house, where Max has been hopefully waiting to see if Santa does arrive.
It is while Santa is doing what he does best, putting all the presents under the tree, he realises he has left his braces behind and his pants simply will not stay up. Oh, my goodness, what to do. But clever Max come up with a solution that will stop everyone from knowing what coloured underpants Santa was wearing.
Bright, colourful illustrations add to the fun of the rhyming storyline. Little ones will be asking for I Saw Santa’s Underpants every night before bed as it is such a terrific book on several levels with much to be discovered in the illustrations and at the end of the story.
I Saw Santa’s Underpants: A really fun Christmas read for young and not so young.

When Santa accidentally leaves home without his suspenders, it's up to a clever little boy to devise a solution to save Santa from certain embarrassment.

What a delightful surprise! The rhyming text is well done, and I could almost hear Burl Ives reading this one aloud. The story is both fun, and funny. I expect all ages will enjoy this silly new Christmas classic.

I Saw Santa's Underpants is a cute rhyming story about what happens when Santa has a mishap at young Max's home.  This is a really short quick read but it shows some quick thinking and impressive problem solving skills by the main character to help Santa out once he sees his underpants.

I received a free e-copy of this book in order to write this review from NetGalley. I was not otherwise compensated.
