A very fast paced young teenager Sci-fi book, with superheroes who are far from perfect, just learning what they can do; some are so unco-ordinated that they are more a hindrance than a help (nice twist). The book is ‘Ratchet and Clank’ esque. An almost comic book story or computer game style. A story set in a future that should be perfect but what is, and if there superheroes then there are always supervillain possibilities. Big battles, totally over the top secret inventions/tech/weapons; things get smashed; big boss battles. Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC. The views expressed are all mine.

This was a great start to the Ultracore series, it had what I wanted from a scifi series. It was a great concept for a scifi series and I enjoyed the universe and getting to know it. The characters worked with what I wanted and were wonderfully written. I look forward to more in this series and from this author.

“Es is right. The slightly stuff does get people in trouble. That’s why I slapped CeCee. She said ‘Damn, I slightly missed it,’ after she shot her gum toward the trash can and it went in my hair.” Limit starts laughing followed by DJ, Obi and Digit. Adrienne just smiles with a “Wow.”
