Though a little repetitive in some places, I liked the focus on the Gs: goal, gap, gain. I don’t think I’ve seen it in many books, so it was something new for me and I enjoyed that.

Very good stuff. This has some excellent ideas and suggestions for generating and filtering ideas. Recommended to those seeking ways to generate and choose ideas.

I really appreciate the free ARC for review!!

The stories Landa shares are very interesting and the author did a great job of dissecting each creator’s mindset with her goal, gap, gain anatomy.

I think that the first chapters felt very repetitive, but the final few chapters had a lot more substance. I think a podcast version of this book where the author interviewed the creative thinkers then overlaid her goal, gap, gain formula in a recap at the end of each episode would be a very entertaining and motivational extension of this book.

I would have liked some personal background of the author in the introduction. What are some successful ideas she’s pioneered? Why are ideas her area of study?

All in all, reading all the examples of famous ideas and how they came to be is extremely interesting!

The book presents a new (at least for me) concept of 3 Gs for generating and implementing meaningful ideas (goal, gao, gain). The method of shaping an idea this way is not necessarily new however it does sound efficient to follow. The peculiar part of the book are examples not only from business world but from the world of art. It talks about innovation that involves creativity for new products, services and processes and also about innovation for sustainable economies that bring benefits for society, community and planet.
