As I was reading this book, I appreciated the military members and their families more. I also made connections to my life as I am a person that grew up with disabilities. I saw a lot of myself in what you were talking about in this book. Thank you for your service to our country. The quote that really stuck out to me was "The most important part is to recognize the negative behaviors or thoughts, acknowledge that you no longer need to suffer, and to move forward in a more positive way.." This really stuck out to me because this is what I have been working on for the last 2+ years in therapy and it is hard as you mentioned to do this.

At 80 pages, this is a short but informative read about transitioning from service member to civilian. There are mindfulness exercises in each section that are helpful in creating positive connections.
