Okay, why on earth did it take me so long to read this book? It was just so much fun! Normally I hate the existential ramblings of teenagers in YA books but putting it into a story where the world is ending helped tremendously. It was a blast from beginning to end. I can’t wait to read the next one!

This book is everything good about YA romance- meet cutes, parental freedom, travel, urgency, honestly, and self actualization. Ready for book 2 and this one isn't even out yet!

DNF'd this book about 40% in. It just didn't grab my attention like I hoped it would. It had potential and it may have gotten better but I wasn't hopeful.

The Prince & The Apocalypse is a lighthearted disaster rom-com. While on an overseas trip to England, a Chicago student accidentally meets the crown prince and saves him from the paparazzi. This leads her to miss her flight, and when she arrives at the airport she learns that a comet will destroy the world in 8 days. She reaches out to the prince to have him help her return home. I enjoyed this book and thought that it was a goofy representation of royalty. I did think that they took the comet less seriously than they could have, but it added more details to the relationship drama. I would recommend this as a fun easy read.

This looked fun and was exactly that. I really enjoyed Wren and Theo together at the end of the world. It made me realize that would be what I wanted if I only had days to live. Give me love, adventure, and the knowledge that nothing lasts forever.

The Prince & the Apocalypse was a fun book to dive into. In this, you will meet Wren, who has dreamed about the perfect trip to Europe for the longest time. She's a huge planner and has everything scheduled until the very last second. Little does she know that everything is going to go up in flames very quickly.

First, she ends up getting super sick and doesn't really leave her room for most of the trip. Second, she ends up running into a guy who needs her help. Third, the world is practically ending, and she can't seem to find a way back home. Long story short, it's a very shitty day for Wren.

Enter Theo, the guy who needs her help. He's a prince in disguise who just wants to get to Greece before the earth explodes. He wants absolutely nothing to do with his title and just wants to be a regular guy. The only problem? Being recognized by everyone because he's a freaking prince. He is also known to miss a train or two.

Together, they go on this adventure and get quite close to one another. The feelings that developed between them were sweet and sincere. There was one thing that annoyed me—well, no—two things really. Wren's emotional default to sarcasm when things get tough and how the Queen handled her son's depression. I wanted these two to redeem themselves so freaking badly, and I'm a little peeved that I didn't get that.

In the end, I'm excited to get my hands on the sequel because of how this one ended. I need to know what's going to happen next for Theo, Wren, and, of course, Comet the Apocalypse Dog.

I got into this book thinking that it would be a little bit like an Ashley Poston book. It was not. the characters felt very young, more in an early YA setting. Also very insta-lovey which isn't my thing. Writing is okay.

I loved The Prince and the Apocalypse so I was VERY Excited to read book 2 in the series!
Loved Wren and Theo already and love them still! Their chemistry and banter are so fun to read!
I also loved some new characters, like King Theo's brother, Henry, and getting to know characters from the first book even better, like Naomi and Brooke!
As in the first book, a new kind of adventure and close calls await Theo and Wren around every corner!
It was exciting, suspenseful and fun all at once! Loved, loved, loved every page!

Absolutely delightful. Everything I wanted in a YA-Prince-in-Disguise-End-of-the-World romp.

Umm, I LOVED this book so much more than I thought I was going to. If there's not a sequel I'm going to riot because THAT SURPRISE CLIFFHANGER!!!

I’m not sure how I feel about this one still. I liked it while I was reading it but I found it very forgettable. I did really like the characters and the story line.

I thought The Prince and The Apocalypse was a super fun story -- the story flowed really well and I also found it to be an emotional book that made me think about what I'd do if my life on Earth was coming to an end. Who would I phone to say goodbye to? Where would I'd like to travel?. I'd have loved to have read this story as a teen. Who doesn't dream about meeting a prince and falling in love with him (and he with you)? I'll definitely be on the lookout for the sequel!

This was so cute! The Prince & The Apocalypse by Kara McDowell fits in well with this niche I love that also includes American Royals by Katharine McGee, Prince Charming by Rachel Hawkins, and Royal Blood by Aimee Carter. I love books that focus on the British royal family and this fit into that very well.

This is a very fun and enjoyable YA romance despite the impending threat of a comet that could mean the end of the world. Wren and Theo are both appealing characters and the ending sets up a twist and a cliff hanger. I look forward to the continuation of their story.

Wren is excited for her trip to London. She has a perfect itinerary and wants to show her family that she is just as good as her older sister. Unfortunately, nothing goes as planned. On the last day of her trip, she goes to the final stop and finds it closed. Dejected, she winds up helping Prince Theo escape. To thank her, he gives her his number and tells her to call if she needs anything. When she finally makes it to the airport, she has missed her plane. To make matters worse, a meteorite is heading towards earth and it will hit the planet, destroying all life. Realizing that her only way home to her family before the apocalypse is Theo, she calls him. Theo wants to escape as well to his family’s island home in Santorini. He agrees to help her if she will help him get to the island. What happens next is an epic road trip across Europe. As Wren and Theo spend time with each other, they start to develop a deeper friendship. Wren also begins to suspect that Theo is hiding something given the massive manhunt by the palace to find him.

This is a quick paced romantic comedy that despite the apocalypse manages to find some humor as Wren and Theo try to navigate friendship and love while each trying to get what they think they want most.

STOP IT!! I am obsessed.

I devoured this book in just two days and couldn't put it down. The pacing was quick and I was entirely engaged throughout the entire story. This book would be PERFECT for getting out of a reading slump. It's the perfect combination of funny and romantic, with so much heart.

The strangers to friends to lovers to enemies trope as *chef's kiss* and I cannot wait for the next book. This was a joy to read and I'm so mad at myself for only just now getting to it!

This is a cute YA romcom with an apocalyptic twist. Definitely not my usual go to because I'm not the target audience, but it was a quick read.

Anytime I come across a romcom featuring royalty I am instantly hooked. However, the apocalypse story line wasn’t really for me. I loved the characters but the plot was subpar.
