Good book with some interesting parts to it. I liked the tone and pace the book was written in and the voice the author used.

On Brand is filled with incredible insights on personal branding with actionable steps to improve. I was lucky to receive an ARC and cannot wait for my physical book to arrive. These examples and insights from Aliza will be helpful for anyone at any stage of their career! Buy the book, read it, act on it, revisit it, keep it on your shelf.

Why am I sending this review months and months later...? I tried multiple times to get into this book. I followed Aliza Licht on Instagram and loved her make-up table videos. I went to Book Hampton when she was there. I started and stopped and went back to the DKNY PR Girl days.... but it just never translated into a completion. Attention could not be held. Apologies.

Loved this book!
My only issue is that I believe this is a book that you need to read in print (and maybe own multiple copies of). Aliza Licht dives into personal branding and how to build YOUR own brand (as opposed to having a brand that is connected to a business that isn't yours).
As someone who has been struggling with her personal brand after taking a job in a new field, this was the perfect read for me. It took me a while to get through this book because I had to stop every few pages and either complete a brand-building exercise or take notes. This is a book I am definitely going to have to buy in print.
I recommend this book to anyone in corporate who is interested in building their personal brand.

This book is a must-read for anyone interested in building a personal brand and learning how to market themselves. Aliza shares her wealth of knowledge and real-life experiences that provide easily digestible tips for creating a strong personal brand, whether you work for a large organization or for yourself. I find this book extremely helpful to me, as I am now over a decade into my career, but it would have been equally useful from the very start.

Throughout the book, she discusses the importance of reputation and how to effectively set yourself up to be viewed as the kind of individual you wish to be known as. I was thrilled to find the book full of instructions that I can put to use today as I begin to work on my own brand. For example, there are step-by-step instructions for starting a podcast (and, of course, detailed information on why this would be beneficial!). Thank you, Aliza! This is one book that I will refer back to again and again!

Aliza Licht does it again! I was a huge fan of "Leave Your Mark" and was so excited to see she was writing a second book! I am choosing to read this with my work book club! It is going to be a HUGE hit! I love how practical her advise is. Some other business books can be a bore but not with Aliza!

This book will be extremely helpful to entrepreneurs, but also to anyone who wants to obtain the tools to be a success in their career. It walks the reader through the process of creating one’s own “brand”, the authentic, polished presence tone carries with them into the world. I have loved both of this author‘s books, and have obtained helpful information from both.

On Brand is the perfect companion if you want to improve your personal brand. Apart from personal stories, and advice from prominent guests, you'll get to do the work as you read the book, so you have no excuses but to follow along, answer the questions honestly and by the time you read your last sentence, you my friend will have figured out what On Brand means for you!

The author has an impressive backstory with the work that was done in her previous career, but the book did not really add much to my understanding that I already have around brand. I'm sure those that are starting out will take value from this book, but for anyone who is working in the marketing brand PR promotion area and has a fundamental understanding of how it works, may struggle to add to their repertoire.

Starting from the beginning, Aliza Licht gives you the background you need to put into action what you are reading. On Brand will help you figure out what is on brand for you. Whether we are talking personal brand, a business brand, or the personal business brand you are.

The career that Aliza Licht has created for herself is phenomenal. Licht is the influencer before those existed, the social media content creators, before those were a thing, she was one of the groundbreakers. Reading a book like On Brand will help you ask important questions and evolve into a stronger entity, whether personally or professionally. It allows you the space to think about how you are showing up as a representative of yourself. The book is described as part career book, part personal growth. Without a doubt, it hits the mark!

The Mental Gymnastics part of the book will allow you to put into practice what you are reading. Such a learning experience in answering some questions that will help as you continue into each chapter of the book.
Chapter six was one of my favorite chapters, “Establish Your Personal Brand at Work.” This is even applicable to remote workers, or self-employed individuals as well. Everyone can benefit from reading this book. On Brand, mental’s gymnastics will do everything from helping you plan your strategy, to pro tips from Aliza Licht’s own experience.

Everything relies on story telling. Building your brand is no different. A current realistic approach to building the brand you want. Filled with tips and "mental gymnastics" to help you succeed. Personal anecdotes from DNKY girl to author and mentor make this book an extra joy while setting up you game plan to be On Brand.

I thought "On Brand" would be interesting to read as far as cultivating, crafting, and shaping your own narrative. However, I found it to be more of a read for people in business as far as the writing style and content. I would recommend this for anyone who is serious about actual brand building.
