A boy who make a bubble gum, catch a lot of animals, while he's singing a song.

Well it's easier to get it, so it's perfect to your child. Plus, It's interesting if your mother tongue it's not english and you wanna practice, whether you want to start practicing or not.

Thanks NetGalley for the opportunity to read this wonderful little book by Carrie Starkey Asner.

This is a quick and fun read for kids 3 years and up. Well crafted for a young mind, keeps the attention and you will have fun reading it over and over. Animation is well done as well.

"Blueberry Blue Bubble" is about a young girl who is trying to blow a bubble with bubble gum. She keeps trying to make it bigger and bigger.

I received a copy of this book through Netgalley. This is my honest review.

This book is reminiscent of Suess's B book, but about a boy blowing a blueberry bubble. Had I been trying to read it aloud I imagine it would have been quite the tongue twister for me. Thankfully I was just reading it to myself in my head so I didn't get tripped up on all the b's.

Unlike the B book, not all of the descriptors continued on to further pages (I don't think). Some seemed to be more page specific depending on who/what the boy was telling to look out because the characteristics of the bubble changed based on that info. It got bumpy for a frog for example.

The illustrations reflected the changes in the bubble's texture quite well, but could easily be missed if you're not paying attention. They were also very blue, as one would expect with a book of this title.

Overall I give this book 3.9 out of 5 stars.

Very cute. I can just imagine my kids wanting to read Carrie Sharkey Asner's Blueberry-Blue Bubble over, and over, and over again!

The colorful, fun pictures, plus the rhyming, are sure to be a hit with the under five crowd. And for ebook fans, this one comes out perfectly on my Kindle. Winner.

The illustrations here were nice and vivid! I didn’t love the story but liked the use of figurative language!

First and foremost, I would love to thank Net-Galley, the author, and publishers for allowing me the opportunity to obtain an ARC copy of this novel for my honest opinion and review.

I read this book with my 8 year old, who majorly assisted in the review of this novel.

We both absolutely loved the Illustrations and the story was adorable.

She loved the animal sounds that led to the next page with a new b word.

So cute!

Hmmm… A boy with a blueberry-coloured bubble gum stick blows a bubble, and keeps on blowing, and keeps on… While the text is merely one of those alliterative increasing lists, adding a descriptor or two at a time to the boy's ballooning bubble, the artwork is a peculiar spread of odd angles and close-ups, that really didn't work for me with the watercolour-styled technique. I can see the young target audience taking to this more than I did, but not that much more, unfortunately.

Thank you so much to Booksgosocial and Netgalley for the ebook to read and review.

A little girl starts to blow a bubble with her blue bubble gum, she wants to make it bigger and bigger, as each animal around her comes to see what she’s doing, she wants it bigger and bigger.

I liked the illustrations in this book they were really cute, seeing the bubble growing and growing to the size of the different animals she goes near. The use of the letter b in each new word she added in was really fun and a huge tongue twister that children would enjoy trying to say over and over again.

I did personally find some of the writing was annoying the way the child was talking really bugged me. But it’s okay the story was cute, the illustrations were cute and the animals were really fun. I think children would still have a lot of fun reading and hearing this whimsical story.

The illustrations in this book caught my eye right away and were simple so it was not overstimulating. I liked how the bubble gum kept getting bigger and bigger with each animal reference- a silly book any young reader will like.

This was a fun book, filled with some great alliterations. An interesting way to introduce this concept to young children.

The illustrations were whimsical and fun and I think you could challenge kids to say the alliterative sentences in one breath to make it even more fun.

I love the illustrations! And alliteration! But I especially love how, with every page, she adds a descriptor of the next animal based on what they're doing. I didn't realize this until the dog, but I love small things like that. Reminds me of the Arthur books that had mini scavenger hunts.~

Thank you to NetGalley and BooksGoSocial for the cute BBB BOOK

Blueberry-Blue Bubble is all about a child blowing a giant blue bubble.
The alliteration makes this book a great choice for teaching the letter B, and the descriptive words make for some fun sentences throughout the story.
The pictures and story are pretty simple , which I believe would be great for toddler age children.
The kid talks to several different animals and their sounds are also in the book for a bit of learning for younger children my 5 year old nephew will like this book.

This was a little too random for myself and my 6 year old. I can see this being a nice picture book for very little kids. The colors are fun!

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the arc in exchange for an honest review.

Blueberry-Blue Bubble
3 Stars

This is a cute and fast read. The illustrations are colorful with expressive faces. I'm not a big fan of alliteration, and this book is over the top with B's. I think this would be great for young children working on speech. Though they would be challenging tongue twisters for speech (towards the end of the book).

Overall, it's OK! My favorite part of Blueberry Blue Bubble was the illustrations. I loved Froggy's unhappy face, but gum is only so fun and adventurous. Thank you, NetGalley and BooksGoSocial, for an advance review copy for free and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

What a cute book! It's about a child blowing a bubble that just keeps getting bigger and bigger after a different animal asks for it to be bigger. My granddaughter had fun guessing which animal it was based on the sounds. The illustrations are whimsical and fun too! Kids 2-6 would like this book best!

Blueberry-Blue Bubble by Carrie Sharkey Asner was a huge hit for my littles, as they love to blow bubbles. We enjoyed the illustrations and all the animals throughout the story. That added such a fun aspect to the story for all of us. There isn't really much story to this but the alliterations about blowing bubble gum was fun and they kids have asked for another read already. A story that is fun and enjoyed all around is never a bad story.

Thank you NetGalley for the ARC.

Genre: Children's Fiction

The illustrations are over-the-top and simple, fitting for the story. The book is about a piece of bubble gum.

Early on the author incorporated "bendy" in the chain. This was a new word for me. In my day-to-day readings I have a dictionary within reach. Arrogance prevailed as I deemed myself capable of reading a book designed for 6-9 years old. After reading, with dictionary in hand, I found -- Bendy: Capable of bending; soft and flexible. These are not the phrases I see when thinking of a bubble from bubble gum. Would kids know the word or care?

I'm not a fan of alliterations. If I never heard about Peter and his pickings again, I would not care. If these types of word building chains are good with you, definitely give this a try. I didn't feel any context, and would purchase only if specifically requested.
