A fantasy novel that isn't the usual fantasy trope. The Queen picks a gentleman for the night and dark and sinister rumors proclaim that something bad happens to these men. Some are sent to the wastelands where their fate and survival is nil. Until one man is determined to change his outcome and chaos ensues. An eclectic erotic fantasy story with entertaining characters. An enjoyable story if you're looking for spice.

Medievil good times with court intrigue, dalliance, and the trials of life in the village. A bit of adventure and a touch of romance and it's a fun read.

Such a good idea but book didn't really work for me. Writing didn't flow well and wording was awkward. J did enjoy the scenes with the Queen. Thanks to Netgalley for the opportunity to read this book

Nooooo I wanted to like this book so much! It sounded absolutely wild!!

Unfortunately the characters, dialogue, POVs, plot just fell through. I skimmed as much as I could just to try and get through it.

Again, a great idea, so maybe a couple reworks and it will all come together 😊

this was a great dystopian fantasy, it has what I wanted from an adult fairy tale. The characters were interesting and did what I was hoping would happen. It is a adult novel and it was really well done. Charles Arlington has a great writing style and I enjoyed the way he wrote his characters. It left me excited to read more from the author.

"Egor stepped up, pushing Brezek aside, ‘Sir, these fellows here saved our lives, none of us – or this carriage – would have returned without them’ said Egor, knowing he had slightly, but uncertainly stretched the truth."
