Thank you so much to NetGalley and Nimbus Publishing for my copy of Twelve Days of Christmas by Briana Corr Scott in exchange for an honest review. It published October 25, 2022.
Okay, I was each page as a print to hang up every year around Christmas. This is one of the most beautifully illustrated renditions of The Twelve Days of Christmas, and I truly could lose myself in looking at the gorgeous art.
I really enjoyed the author's note in the back explaining each creature for each day of Christmas.
I highly recommend this for any library, or for your family Christmas book traditions!

This is a beautifully illustrated version of a classic Christmas song. My 2 year old son loves as I sang along with the words and we both loved booking at the beautiful illustrations (seriously, can’t get over them!). This would be a great addition to any Christmas book collection!

Thank you NetGalley and author Brianna Corr Scott for the free digital copy in exchange for my honest review.

This is a beautiful version of the old rhyme. What makes it different are the gorgeous illustrations and Scott's rendering milkmaids into butterflies and leaping lords into rabbits among others. A must for children and children at heart

This book is filled with the most beautiful, vibrant images that correspond to the lyrics in the twelve days on Christmas song. All of the pictures are made up of things in nature- animals, fruits, florals. The color schemes are stunning and well chosen. I also liked that the author included a note about each page at the end, describing what is seen in the picture and why those things were chosen.

Thank you to NetGalley and Nimbus Publishing for the digital copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion.

This book is STUNNING! Seriously stunning. The illustrations and drawings are just beautiful and intertwined the beauty of nature with this much beloved tale and song in which we’re all familiar.

We’ve all been brought up singing The Twelve Days of Christmas so it’s known well and coupled with the explosions of bright colour and expert accompanying illustrations makes it for a wonderful read near Christmas time.

Once again this creator provides something that ought to belong in one of those specially-bound heritage publications, designed to be passed down from generation to generation. That is definitely the feel of this version of The Twelve Days of Christmas, which demotes the text of the song to the left-hand quarter of each spread, allowing the rest of the space to be filled up with typically high-class illustrations, all peppered not only with the birds and characters we know and love but copious examples of seasonal flowers and other wildlife. The joy is manifold then, for you get the instant visual impact of the designs, then the cleverness and thought that had gone into pairing flora with fauna we find in the end-notes – and before all that some really quite atypical choices for what the true love's gifts actually were. Books with this poem in it seldom come with spoiler alerts, so I won't say what decisions Ms Scott made that proves her inventiveness – I'll leave them for you to discover.

It has to be said that I do find a version of this text coming out each year that seems to be a remarkable and well-crafted one to keep as an heirloom, but that's not to diminish the achievement here. Four and a half stars, easily.

A stunning and beautiful book filled with the loveliest artwork. This is such a gorgeous read and the perfect addition for any Christmas lover. The artwork features a naturalist’s touch to the classic 12 days of Christmas. I found it to be a delightful read that is definitely a sight for the eyes and perfect for anyone who is a fan of pretty artwork.

*Thanks Netgalley and Nimbus Publishing for sending me an arc in exchange ror an honest review*

What an amazing visual representation of “The Twelve Days of Christmas.” Scott's creative interpretation of the poem translates into graphics that are completely nature based. At the end of the book, she even offers readers a brief description of each graphic and why she chose it.

What a beautiful gift for the holiday season.
