This was just the book I needed. Readable, actionable, to the point. This is a great book to grasp the concept of boundaries and put them in place. Excellent starting point.

This book is exactly what I needed. I think it should basically be a coffee tablet book in everyone’s life and something to reference back to occasionally when you get stuck or need help breaking a pattern. I feel like every person in America could benefit from at least a weeks worth of days in this. Thank you to Ann Weiser Cornell for writing it and NetGalley for providing it. These are tools I will carry forward with me.

I wanted to like this book, but I just didn't. I'm autistic, and I just couldn't relate to the diction/context within it.

I found this pretty helpful, lots of great tips too.

Thank you NetGalley for my complimentary copy in return for my honest review.

Personal boundaries are an essential component of a healthy and fulfilling life. They help us to communicate our needs and expectations, protect us from harm, and empower us to take control of our own lives.

By setting and enforcing personal boundaries, we can create healthier relationships, reduce stress, and improve our overall quality of life.

So an inability to set and maintain boundaries can cause real problems on several levels. It often shows up first in our relationships, but I regulary see the knock-on effect in the workplace, wellbeing, and the choices people make. From experience (I'm a psychologist), I'd say poor boundary-setting underpins many of the problems my clients talk to me about.

Self-help is often dismissed as cynical, but I'm a strong advocate for doing something for yourself when you are challenged by many of the issues we commonly struggle with. 21 days to Better Boundaries is a book I happily recommend.

When someone or something is imposing on you and infringing your right, it's easy to think that if you decide to take control by setting (or resetting) some boundaries it will lead to confrontation. One of the things I find persuasive in the book is the compassionate stance it takes. It shows how to protecting yourself doesn't have to mean confrontation or conflict.

I love self-help books and think there is nothing better than continually working on improving ourselves, so it is great to see so many new authors and books on such topics. This was a great one on setting personal boundaries, something I think a lot of us can struggle with. Whilst some of it is common-sense material, it is helpful to see lots of examples here. Would definitely recommend.

I received an advance reader copy of this book to read in exchange for an honest review via netgalley and the publishers.

21 Days to Better Boundaries is a self-help book for anyone who finds it hard to say no, maintain boundaries, not give in and people pleases. This was such a helpful book to read and as a person who does struggle to maintain boundaries at times in worklife and homelife and often gets walked all over by people who take all they can out of you, I found it a great resource. I'd have preferred this in physical format so I could refer back to it again going forward as I received the e-Arc from netgalley.
This book gives you tips and advice on how to recognise when you need to set some boundaries in place as well as how to do this, how to respect others feelings whilst instilling these boundaries and also understanding the people who may not like the boundaries you are sitting in place and why they don't like it. I found it a great angle to help you understand the other person's view point too.

I received an electronic copy through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

I wish I could bring the advice contained in this book to my younger self--that self that was conditioned to be a people-pleaser--and give her the courage to stand up for herself, to build those boundaries.

Filled with tips to help you figure out when you need to erect some boundaries, how to do it, how to understand where those who don't like those boundaries may be coming from, and how to respect their feelings while standing your ground.

In a world where we are in each other's business and faces through our connection to the internet, reading this book gave me the subtle reminder that I can draw the line and went a step ahead to suggest how best to do so with kindness and compassion.
It's meant to be read daily and you get to reflect on each step as you go. What I loved most about this book was not in the very beginning, but what came more towards the end- on the most important boundary and that of the self, because it may be easy to draw the line for people, places and things but what about the voices in our heads, the lies we tell ourselves, or the fears that limit us from living an abundant life- how do we identify what is a feeling and what is not?
It's an encouraging read. Thanks Netgalley for the eARC.

thanks netgalley for this arc. This book was really interesting for me to read. I haven't read many self-help books in my life, but this was important to me. there was information that over time I will assimilate more and more and that will surely help me every day. it's a really good book, very well written, for those who need a little daily help.

Boundaries are difficult for most people so anything that helps develop them is a good thing. I agree with the reviewer who states that this book is for beginners which is not a bad thing. I have read books that spoke to me more personally on this subject but that is just personal preference.
