I loved the premise of this book! Christine is finally doing something for herself on her own, despite her chronic illness. This proves what a brave person she is and how far she has come coping with her illness. I loved that her character is so real and that she has this chronic illness, it makes her character so much more believable and relatable. She meets a "stranger" on the plane and this is where the romance begins. It almost seemed a little unbelievable at how fast they fall for each other. I loved following their travels through Paris and France! I learned about wonderful places I didn't know existed! Reading this book was like taking a mini vacation! The only thing that was a minus for me was how handsome they were in public, on the plane, restaurants, in front of total strangers; but they were in the City of Love.

I fell in love with this story. From start to finish, I was addicted to find out what was going to happen next for Christina and Colin. If you love romance then this story is for you.

What do I even say about this one? If you're a sucker for romance and Paris like me, then definitely don't miss this one.

If there is ever a sequel to this one, we absolutely NEED to see the absolutely epic friendship between Colin and Lola. Pretty please.

The Paris Soulmate is a wonderful story of a woman who has several autoimmune conditions but decides to take a trip to Paris in spite of them. She meets a charming Brit who comes to her aid and they form a relationship, but is he really who he says he is? I loved this novel as someone who suffers with several invisible illnesses, it was great to see someone like myself {although much younger!), take the chance on herself. This was such a fun and smart love story! I really enjoyed this reading this novel, it really is the perfect holiday read...

I'm so sorry. I really, desperately wanted to love this book because it sounded like the type of thing I would love... but it's not for me. To me, the insta-love thing is really unsatisfying and rushed, and a lot of the dialogue (especially from the side characters) feels too unrealistic for me to suspend my disbelief. I like a love interest with obvious flaws and the male interest in this book feels too infallible. Also......PDA on an airplane, bleh.

However, I appreciate that the author took this as an opportunity to represent a character with illlnesses. We need more of that in literature. And I can appreciate the idea of proving to yourself that you're capable of doing things you don't expect yourself to do and that you are worthy as you are.

I haven't finished the book (I got to about 50%), but unfortunately I don't think I will be able to. It's not my cup of tea, but I'm sure many fans of romance (especially love at first sight) will love this!

I loved the Paris setting since it’s one of my dream locations to travel and the author made me feel like I was there watching from far. Loved it !!

I absolutely loved this book. It hooked me and kept me turning pages until I was done. Finished it in two days! The character development was strong, and the premise was unique enough that it didn't feel like anything else I've read.

It was a cute read, unexpected love in an unexpected way.

I loved the main character's and how the author wrote their story with lots of highs and lows, I was rooting for their love story. This was a quick read for me and I found myself fully invested in the outcome . I love that the author writes her main character with autoimmune diseases…..the often silent sickness that others can’t see.

This was a really sweet romance about a woman, Christine, with autoimmune disorders and a man she seemingly "coincidentally" ran into at the airport. It all seems too good to be true and they stick together in the city of romance, Paris. I feel like this was a bit too fast paced for me, as Christine immediately trusts this random stranger and decides to go explore the city with him even though they only met the day before.
All in all, this was an easy, quick romance if you're in the mood for a pleasant read.
I would recommend this book to people who enjoyed The Kiss Quotient!

I really wanted to love this book with it's chronic illness representation as a fellow chronic illness warrior, however the story just didn't sit well with me. Everything happened too easy, the insta-love was just too instant to feel real. Also, while I sympathise with the main characters friend Lola setting up someone to watch out for her, it just didn't sit well with me. Perhaps as someone with an invisible illness too I would hate to think my friends wouldn't trust me to be safe and enjoy a trip I had planned for so long?
Also while there were mentions of Christines health issues the impact of these didn't get explored as much as I would have liked, for example after a long day she mentions how she will be tired etc but then the story doesn't seem to show her sleeping longer than a 'normal person'

I love all books that have to do with Paris, my dream destination. So when I got this ARC, I was excited to read it. It follows Christine, a woman who is now 30, who has had her share of health problems. She deals with an autoimmune disease among other ailments and food allergies. It is serious and has derailed her plans for medical school. She has gone through the worst and finally feels healthy enough to take her dream holiday to Paris. At the airport she has a flare up and a handsome British man, Colin, who helps her through it. He happens to be seated right beside her, irritating her as she was embarrassed at the attention. She then finds out they are staying at the same hotel….are they destined to be together? What is the spark that they share? Or does he just feel sorry for her? This book had a good plot and good character development. The breathtaking sights and sounds of Paris was a perfect backdrop to this sweet romcom. It did delve deep into the life of living with an autoimmune disease, how it destroys confidence, self-esteem, relationships, and quality of life. The book felt a tad too long and a misunderstanding too much but it was a solid read.

Christine is travelling solo to Paris. She has spent the last few years battling multiple autoimmune disorders and promised herself if she was ever able to visit Paris again, she would. She is excited for her trip but wishes her best friend Lola could go. Lola is worried about Christine going alone but she is expecting a baby and can't travel.

At the airport as Christine is about to panic and call off her trip, a handsome British man walks up to her. He seems to know exactly what to do to calm her down. Christine can't decide if he is too good to be true or a royal pain. She is leaning toward the latter when Colin, the Brit, sits down next to her on the plane.

I really liked the story of Christine and Colin and the beautiful descriptions of Paris. This is a really good storyline and I love how the story spotlights someone living with an autoimmune disorder. I also like how Christine talks about her faith, However, I did not like how the story went on and on about the characters making out. It seemed like half the book was lovesick and the rest was a really good story.

It started off good! But around the 20% mark, it felt repetitive much too soon. There’s insta-love and then there’s this particular brand of it. As a lover of hallmark movies and all sorts of rom-coms, I’m no stranger to the trope but this was on a different level. It had so much potential and I really wanted to love this book-Paris, a British MC, chronic illness representation, gorgeous cover-but it felt forced and was overall not a favorite or even a fun read personally. Due to both the plot and character development. Not to say fans of this trope won’t enjoy but it is not a top or must read for me. I considered not finishing the book multiple times but I hoped it would get better. The dual pov was off with the first and third person switch and the entire story felt repetitive. I had hoped the epilogue would redeem it and make it all worth it,
but this was not the case

The plot twist was my favorite part and really was the best part of the book.


However, The author includes a Spotify playlist, paris map, and art guide which is very cool.

this was such an incredible read!! i absolutely adored this and i am so grateful to netgalley for letting me read this book early!! it was fun and lovely and sweet and precious. pick it up!!

I didn't much like this, the random God bits were a bit weird and the story was terribly predictable after an early hint.

This is the first book I have read by this author. The pacing, drama, sweetness, romance, and characters are well done. Christine has had trouble filled few years with health issues and a few bad relationships. She is in a good place health wise and decided to go to Paris for a week. Colin, I won't lie I had trouble liking him at first. He grew on me with his sincerity and determination. This is a beautiful story of moving forward and trusting someone else, while also building your faith. I definitely recommend and will be reading other works by this author.
