I enjoyed this a lot. I really did see myself in Christine. But once she felt it, she knew. I loved that. It's very cliche but... sometimes we need that in romance books! I can't wait to read more from the author.

This book is so good. It's a clean romance and done so right. Throw in Paris and british accents. I could relate to and see myself as the main character and I don't do that very often but the writing and the plot wad so could I could. I will now pick up any and everything this author writes, she is going on my auto buy list.

I just reviewed The Paris Soulmate by Brooke Gilbert. #TheParisSoulmate #NetGalley

Favorite parts:
-Meet cute
-Getting schooled by the grandma on the plane
-The first kiss
-Franc's restaurant
-Mona Lisa
-Lola

I loved how it was so easy to put yourself into Christine's shoes. She may have had a lot of disorders, but you don't learn a lot about what they are. We see anxiety (maybe not to the degree she felt it, but we still have felt some form of anxiety).

I also loved how we see Colin's insecurities. Christine doesn't see how he is insecure because of all she is going through, she thinks he is this perfect man. It was nice to see that he wasn't perfect and that he struggles with things as well.

I thought that Colin was just so great! He understood that Christine has struggles, just like he does, just on a different level. I love how he helped her to see the beauty in herself and helped her feel more secure with who she was.

I was given a copy to read and review from the author and NetGalley for an honest review. All opinions are my own.

This didn’t work for me. Too much blabbering on about her illnesses to keep a plot going. The meet cute was anything but.

From start to finish, this book kept me on my toes with its twists and character development. Mostly I found myself never wanting to put it down

Im sorry i just couldn’t continue with this book. Now there was some really good one liners and i did laugh at some parts and i enjoyed how it was dual pov but apart from that I felt the dialogue was really cringey and definitely not something people would say to each other in real life. It was also really repetitive and way too insta-lovey for me. As well as their being random dashes in between some of the words. I didn't feel connected to any of the characters and honestly just didn't care. But I might give the author another chance in the future.

"He was too good
to be true. And maybe if I
were in any other city, I would
have run, but this was the
city of love."

Such a cute read!! The Paris soulmate is a romance story about Christine, a woman with a diagnosed autoimmune disease, and Collin a jobless actor. One day she decides to go a trip to Paris one more time for her own reasons and in the airport she meets Colin . And then it started all....

As a hopeless romantic, I identified with Christine. I fell in love with Collin, he was so caring and possessive, and I loved the descriptions about my favourite city, Paris. I travelled with them, I laughed and I cried. I liked the insta love, the story wasn't slow burn. We have dual pov , love at first sight and so many kisses!!!

"But then I met
you, and Paris became
something morethan I ever
expected.”

It was an interesting reading and I recommend it to everyone!!

I love the auto immune representation! But I think there was too much explaining details about the time in Paris and not enough spent on the actual storyline.

The Paris soulmates was a cute romance story of Christine and Colin on a week long trip to Paris. Christine has spend years of her youth sick with a diagnosed autoimmune disease and after her health becomes more stable she decides to follow through with her bucket list trip. While leaving for her trip, Christine meets Colin at the airport who also has his own reasons for why he’s going to Paris.

This books has several tropes, such as autoimmune representation, love at first sight, forced proximity, soulmates, Dual POV, and comedy.

“‘Colin, my lips are really cold.’” This was cheesy, but reflected Christines character development, where this story had good character development especially for such a small story where the writing stays true to each character. It also made me laugh.

The few supporting characters in this book make you laugh out loud. Doris is an MVP, and should be protected at all cost with her humour and common sense.

I rated this book 3/5, because although I enjoyed it, it did have some issues. One thing being Colin’s POV coming to soon, although learning about him gives tension to the book. It happened to soon, since it made me want to jump ahead to when the secret is revealed. Another thing being more my personal preference of love at first sight not being something I believe in, and some things felt a bit too fast paced with the romance.

Overall, if you are interested in these themes I highly recommend this book. The writing is good and the characters have their own growth that makes it worth it with all the tropes and themes.

Christine has spent the last few years in and out of hospitals dealing with many rare auto-immune illnesses. Now that her illnesses are managed, she has decided to go to Paris for a week. While in the airport she has a panic attack and is ready to not get on the plane when a tall, dark, handsome Brit comes to her rescue. They get off to a rough start when of course, they are seated next to each other. While on the flight, everyone around them believes them to be on their honeymoon. While on the flight, they discover that they're both very attracted to each other and they decide to spend the week together exploring Paris.

This book had so much promise. I love a good enemies to lovers rom-com. This one did not do it for me. Every day they spent in Paris was described in extreme detail. It didn't add much to the plot and was unnecessary to move the story forward. I had a difficult time finishing this book.

The reason for the third act break up is revealed in the 8th chapter. From that point on, I was waiting for the shoe to drop. When it did, it resolved just as quickly as it was revealed. I didn't connect with the characters which made it difficult for me to have any reason to care about the outcome. Christine's best friend Lola was my favorite character.

I absolutely loved this romance novel. Christine was so low on her self esteem and confidence that I could relate to her, also with her immune disorders and feeling like it would be selfish to be in relationship with anyone. I totally understood her reasoning but felt she deserved so much more. Then Colin comes in as a 'fake' friend turned lover, he was jus such an amazing character, the way he truly felt about Christine was undeniable. They both deserved everything, so glad it ended the way it did. Will look out more from this author.

Thank you to Netgalley for the ARC.

I enjoyed this book - it was really sweet and as the owner of several chronic illnesses myself I really appreciated the disability representation and the sensitive and accurate way Christine's conditions were portrayed.

I struggled with how quickly they fell in "love" but I guess that is typical of a romance novel. The Paris setting was brilliant, and the extra side characters each added lovely elements.

This was a well written story with sweet characters and a lovely setting. I was a massive fan of the spotify playlists and movie lists at the end - a great touch. Recommend for a light hearted quick read.

Absolutely cute read. Love how before the guy even meets her, just the one glance and he knew the connection would strong. Love out weights everything!

I love how they made this love story in Paris. It is fun when they have love stories in different countries. You learn a lit having love stories in different countries. I enjoyed the storyline and the characters. This book was approved by netgalley and the publisher fir me to read and review.

The Paris Soulmate is a wonderful romance novel - sweet and lighthearted and I loved the feature of a main character with an autoimmune disorder. I highly recommend.

I liked this slow romance and that it is set in Paris. I also found it unusual to have a sympathetic main character with autoimmune disease, who has to be treated with kids' gloves at all times. It was a gentle read with not too much drama, except for the character's occasional medical flare ups.

The Paris Soulmate is a sweet rom-com that takes you on a seven-day whirlwind trip to Paris. It will have you swooning and laughing.

There were some really sweet moments in this insta-love whirlwind romance. Both characters dealt with insecurities. It was refreshing to see attractive people struggle with self-doubt and self-worth. So often, they are portrayed as unbreakable, and that isn't the case.

While I enjoy love at first sight love stories, I wish Christine put up more of a fight to create some drama. Everything seemed to happen so fast between the two of them that there was very little build-up throughout the book. Their days in Paris felt repetitive despite the different locations.

I would also have loved more of an epilogue and maybe more from Doris or the other side characters to bring more laughs and dimension to the book.

Overall it was a cute book with some plot twists that kept me interested to see how it played out.
