Break Your Burnout Cycle: A Woman’s Five-Step Guide To A Thriving Career Journey offers a five-step guide to overcoming burnout and thriving in your career. While the book offers some good advice, the tone can be overly cheery, and the advice can be a bit simplistic at times.

The book acknowledges the fact that burnout is a common problem, especially for women, who often neglect their health while juggling responsibilities and commitments. The book encourages readers to evaluate where they are in their burnout cycle and create a unique recovery plan, reset their lives, and set healthy boundaries in the workplace.

As much as I wanted to like this book, I found it a little on the preachy side. I appreciate, that's sort of what self-help books can be like, but I wanted something more proactive, with actually suggestions.

I have suffered burnout, even the 5th stage which this author speaks about, and it's a very distressing phase to be in. I have searched for books just like this one years ago, so I'm glad to have it now and I believe it can help a lot of people. Unfortunately, even more continues to be expected of people in the work place, and burnout is still not given the attention it deserves. This book can help handle that. It's also a great read (even a must-read) for managers and employers to understand and help their employees that suffer.

An inclusive guide to recovery from burnout, how to evaluate whether you have burnout and steps to take if you have it. I didn't realise that nearly 50% of women have had it, and since the pandemic caused more stress even more people got burnout. An excellent guide and I would recommend it.
