This book is definitely a page-turner and is meant to be read in one sitting. The reader is kept engaged all through with no dull moments. I did not like the protagonist and felt that she was foolish and reckless. It is unrealistic that anyone would jump into bed with a neighbor they barely know and in a neighborhood where they feel threatened. Plus add to that with a kid in the house. Apart from this the rest of the storyline is great.

Shelley has had a bad few years, very bad,her Mum’s dementia had become life changing for all and although Shelley has done her best the last few years have not been easy, now, after her Mum’s passing she has moved….a fresh start with her daughter, they chose a respectable, quiet cul de sac…….life was going to become easier
Except it didn’t and Shelly soon realises she has moved to a very secretive and dark neighbourhood where she feels she can trust no one……she feels she is in danger….she doesn’t realise just how much
I love a story about moving home, new neighbours and discovering who is who and trying to fit in but in this dark story we are kept very much on our toes as there is much more than ‘fitting in’ to worry about….told in the authors own special way that draws you into a characters life, there is real tension and a thrilling storyline as Shelly battles to figure out the secrets she has become apart of and that are threatening to take over her life
I always really enjoy this authors books and this once again is a fast paced exciting drama,a great read

Wow! Great book! I wasn't too sure in the beginning about this one but I'm so glad I stuck with it! This book had a bit of everything! It had suspense, intrigue, action, murder, mystery, romance, a great who done it and some great sleuthing work! The storyline was so very interesting and kept me on the edge of my seat and glued to my Kindle! I highly recommend reading this book as it was well worth reading! Don't miss out on this one! Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for sharing this book with me!

Another fantastic story from Gemma.

When you are after a fresh start, renting a house in the most perfect close with your daughter sounds ideal.

Not all is perfect and weird things start happening in the house, the neighbours are all friendly or are they?

This had me gripped into the early hours of the morning, Where I was just like oh one more chapter!

Gemma just gets better and better with every book she is fast becoming one of my favourite authors

Gemma Rogers....yet another fabulous thriller!
Great characters and edge of your seat stuff. Changed my mind several times about who did what, love that.
I finished this book over 24 hours and you know it was a good read when its disappointing when you have finished.
I love everything this author has written and she didn't disappoint with this one.
Thanks so much to netgalley and the publisher for my early copy.

Shelly moves to Beech Close with her daughter hoping for a new start. She has spent the last two years taking care of her mother who has dementia until she dies..

Now she is renting a house and the person who last rented the house is missing. She tries to ask the neighbors who all seem to be hiding something. She starts off on the wrong foot with her neighbor Valerie.

I loved the intrigue of trying to figure out what happened to Danielle. This was a fun mystery to read and an ending with a twist.

The only thing I didn’t like was Remy choking Shelly I didn’t like reading that in a book it was disturbing.

Friends and neighbors…secrets…red herrings…family dynamics…the main character moves into a new neighborhood after her mother dies. She and her daughter become friends with their neighbors. Who can they trust? Who is lying? Who is real? Trying to guess the ending of this novel is Al ost impossible. Despite the red herrings, I did guess part of it. There were some hints. This talented author has written a cannot put down novel. This book was sent to me for review by Netgalley.

Gemma Rogers is back and this is a true gem. Rogers never fails to deliver with her books. This is another unpredictable and completely captivating book.

This is a book which will pull you in from the beginning. The neighbours in this are definitely an interesting bunch. As a reader, you have mixed opinions about each of them.

This is unpredictable and perfectly paced. I have been transported and felt as though I have known the characters that fill the pages.

This is a book filled with complicated relationships, you get the impression that all isn’t what it seems. I have to admit a dislike to Remy. Something about him but I’ve been unable to put my finger on what.

Rogers has included so much in this one. I have loved the “missing” neighbour element and found myself craving information to piece together what had taken place.

This is a brilliant read, I have devoured this in just one sitting. Rogers definitely gets better and better with each book. I’ve read all of this author’s books and everytime the latest becomes my new favourite.

This is a gem from beginning to end and an absolute must for the TBR. I highly recommend this book.
