Cute story about a woman starting over after her husband died. She meets someone new and only to find out he has robbed her and she needs to start over again. Her deceased husband left her a hunting cabin and she is able to start over and potentially find love again.

Like many of Nancy Naigle's books, this book felt like a warm hug.

Emotional, touching, and leaves you wanting to move right into the book!

When they meet Natalie has been scammed and Randy is the detective that is interviewing Natalie. She has lost her home, money and cars. She decides to go her deceased husband’s hunting cabin. Book begins with a con man taking advantage of Natalie and leaving her feeling like a fool and she can not shake the feeling that she allowed this to happen. The detective in charge of the case assures her that it was not her fault and this "man" has conned more than her. Natalie leaves town and settles in a fishing cabin her first husband left her when he passed. The town and the detective help Natalie to believe in herself and to give others a chance to show her how great she is. Nice story with a little romance, mystery and small town vibes.

What wonderfully engaging, enjoyable second chance contemporary romance novel. It was so wholesome, and a clean romance. I had fun reading it

I loved the small town charm of Chestnut Ridge, the mysterious "castle", adorable puppies, and all of the residents. It was the perfect place for Natalie to start over, and I really enjoyed her story.

And Then There Was You left me feeling all the warm and fuzzies when I finished reading this wonderful book. It's.a perfect blend of drama, family, love, and small-town living. While I'm not often a series reader, I am already beyond excited for the second book and can't wait to see what transpires in Chestnut Ridge, what transpires with Natalie and Randy, and all over the other fantastic characters in this book.

I don't really know what else to say except if you're looking for a book that will leave you feeling like your heart is soaring, pick up And Then There Was You.

Thank you, St. Martins Press and NetGalley for the eARC!

I love reading books by this author. They always make me feel so good. This is a cute story about a woman who was taken advantage of by a con artist after losing her husband. A wonderful slow burn as a woman finds family in an unlikely place and finds life again after thinking she would only love once.

What a sweet story of renewal with a touch of romance! I was concerned that I had stumbled into a Christian romance and was not sure if I would enjoy it. However, the faith reference were so genuine and sincere. They were woven into the lives of the characters in a way that reflects the world I inhabit. When Natalie Maynard finds herself practically broke due to a con-artist boyfriend, she retreats to a place of safety that she had forgotten about. She begins to rebuild her life after losing her true love and her financial security. The detective assigned to her case, Randy Fellowes, supports her through this life change. Author Nancy Naigle has written many other books and I look forward to reading more of her library.

I found the title and cover of this book deceptive. Overall, the book was okay. It was a Hallmark Channel movie in a book. Now, I don't particularly enjoy Hallmark movies, so maybe that's on me.

The characters are almost exclusively white southern Christians. The Christian overtones in this book are hit-you-in-the-face obvious and somewhat detracted me from the story. The relationships portrayed throughout the story also leave no room for anything other than hetero, cisgender ones.

The author switches from first to third person and the transitions are jarring, which forced me to provide more focus than I wanted to give this book.

The "twist" at the end of this book did nothing to provide a more interesting story. Throughout the protagonist's journey in Chestnut Ridge, I grew more and more frustrated with her deceased husband for hiding what was obviously a huge part of his life. For some reason, this isn't a conflict and instead, Natalie grows increasingly grateful to Jeremy.

This book should only be read by someone who enjoys Christian prayers and badly produced Christmas movies.

I have read many Nancy Naigle books in the past, and have absolutely adored them, so I was excited to give this one a read, but I have to say that I really struggled to get into this story. More than anything, I think this is ME more than the book... I am a mood reader and have been even more so lately and I feel like perhaps my mind just wasn't quite in the right place for this slower paced read. The story and characters were good, the writing was wonderful as always and it certainly had elements I typically love in a story--- small town charm, a little mystery, etc. The connection just wasn't there for me, which unfortunately sometimes happens even with the best of books. I am definitely putting this one aside and plan to come back to it later when I'm in a better mind space to do so though!

**I received a complimentary copy for consideration. All opinions are my own.

I enjoyed this new book of Nancy Naigles. This was a nice light read. I adore the setting. So beautiful. There's a lot of positivity no matter what happens in life. Lite on Christian fiction. It was a very feel good read.

Thank you NetGalley for providing a review copy in exchange for an honest review.

And Then There was You by Nancy Naigle is a sweet romance about second chances and the family you make as your own. Natalie Maynard has been swindled by a professional conman and is devastated and her confidence a bit shaken. She decides to move to the one thing she has left, a cabin in Chestnut Ridge. There she hopes to start fresh and move on from this horrible experience and find herself again.

The author has a way of combining a bit of mystery and inspiration, with a touch of romance to make this a very enjoyable story. She introduces a bunch of charming secondary characters in the small town and it just adds more body to the story. The hero, detective Randy Fellowes, wants to find the guy that stole all of Natalie’s possessions, but also can’t help but developing feelings for the lady herself and wants to see where this might lead. Seeing both of them questioning themselves and wanting more at the same time, made the story realistic and hopeful. I thought the story developed nicely and flowed smoothly with a nice conclusion. I would definitely recommend this story for fans of contemporary romances for a clean, feel- good story.

This is a very touching and heartwarming story. Natalie is recently widowed and thinks she has found another true love. Unfortunately she has put her faith in a conman. After he takes all her belongings and money Natalie is left scrambling to put her life back together. She moves to an idyllic community and begins her life anew. It was great to see Natalie get back on her feet. This was a lovely story.

I typically read Nancy Naigle for her Christmas book and this was the first book by her that didn;t take place at that time period. This was a fun and summery read.

And Then There Was You is the newest release by Nancy Naigle. This story is the first book in the Chestnut Ridge Series. The story starts with a shocking occurrence. Natalie Maynard, a relatively recent widow, has spent the week in Cancun with her boyfriend. He stepped into her life just when she needed someone attention and comfort. His lifestyle was far more lavish than Natalie was accustomed to and she was enjoying being spoiled.

When she arrives home, a few days after her boyfriend’s early departure for work, she discovers her home, which she paid half for, entirely emptied out; every single piece of furniture, clothing item, and all of her documents. Even the nail holes have been covered and all of the artwork gone. She then learns that her house was rented, not purchased, and her boyfriend has absconded with the money and has vanished.

Detective Randy Fellows is assigned to Natalie’s case. He’s earnest, hard-working and promises to get justice for Natalie and keep her updated along the way. Over time, he also develops feelings for Natalie and slowly, hesitantly a relationship between the two builds. Meanwhile, Natalie escapes to a rugged, remote mountain where her deceased husband owned a hunting cabin and decides to live there while she gets her life back in order. An odd choice, since she was able to live with her best friends, but she needed a change of scenery. She befriends various townspeople, finds some work and unravels some other surprises along the way.

I have loved Nancy Naigle’s previous books, but sadly, this one just missed the mark for me. It started off with my interest peaked, but soon got bogged down in an over-abundance of details that seemed irrelevant. Some elements felt rather far-fetched and unbelievable, and it rubbed me the wrong way how many times the female character referred to counting calories and watching her weight and a man taking care of her. I was bothered that despite the Christian point of view, she went on vacation with her boyfriend and moved on so quickly after her husband’s death. I suppose it could be innocent, and there could be reasons but they weren’t given and it rubbed me the wrong way. Finally, the plot felt predictable and fell flat for me.

I know that I’m in the minority, and that I will definitely return to Ms. Naigle’s future books. Others of hers have been favorites for me, but this one was, unfortunately, a letdown.

Reeling after falling prey to a Romeo con-artist who just waltzed away with the better part of her belongings, Natalie Maynard works closely with the detective assigned to her case, only the few leads have led nowhere.

Detective Randy Fellowes can’t promise Natalie restitution, but he’s determined to find the culprit and serve up justice. Married to his work, he’s caught off guard when Natalie has his thoughts wandering to more than the case.

Natalie soon seeks refuge in the one thing she still owns ― an old fishing cabin in the mountains of Chestnut Ridge. She quickly falls in love with the town and the eccentric people who are teaching her so much about the area and its heritage.

Through these people, and the determination of Detective Fellowes, she rediscovers her courage, self, and a reason to risk love again.

I really loved this story. Natalie is a widow who was taken advantage of by a conman. The detective assigned to her case is a workaholic who might find himself attracted to Natalie. Will recommend to others.
