Thank you NetGalley for allowing me to receive this book for an honest review.

When Natalie gets conned by a con man she is embarrassed and feels like a fool.
So much so that she decides to leave town and go to the fishing cabin her first husband left her upon his death.
This small town people and the detective in town help Natalie not to doubt herself and that she is a great person.
It was so nice to see how people come together.

This is the first book by this author and I am looking forward to many more. This is a delightful, feel good, clean, contemporary romance novel. It is also the first book in a new series by this author, Nancy Naigle. Set in a fictitious small town called Chestnut Ridge in Virginia, readers will quickly fall under the spell of this close-knit group of inhabitants. After being swindled by a major con, Natalie has to regroup and decide what to do in her life. Luckily, she's strong and independent (almost to a fault), and she decides to relocate to Chestnut Ridge where her late husband had a remote cabin. Here she can find hope again in a new direction. Randy Fellowes, the detective on her case, has motives that become more personal than business, when he falls for Natalie. But he's one of the good guys. In Chestnut Ridge, Natalie finds a group of warm and friendly people with a small-town vibe. Not something I'd like since they were totally involved in her life, but they seemed to be just what she needed to rebuild her trust in people. This book was a good combo of genres. There was the mystery of the con to be solved. Plus there was some romance swirling around between Natalie and Randy (at least on his part). And the small-town people and their issues provided a chick lit feel. There was a sense of Christian romance, but this was not emphasized too much, just enough to remind me that it was there. Overall, I enjoyed reading this book by this new-to-me author. It definitely had an overall warmth and friendliness that permeated the book, with a message of kindness. This is a good beginning to what promises to be a very pleasant and easy-to-read series.

Thanks to NetGalley, the author and St. Martin's Press

This was a very bingable book. If you are looking for a light, small-town romance, give this one your consideration. There is zero steam, and it has some Christian romance type elements to it, so if that turns you on or off of books, it's a good thing to know.

My favorite part of this book was the small town, found family element. This is book 1 of a Chestnut Ridge series so I'd love to revisit these characters down the road.

Thank you @smpromance for an advanced copy of this one, out now.

And Then There Was You by Nancy Naigle is exactly the type of book I love to get lost in and find hard to put down. The story is of Natalie Maynard, a widow who finally found love again, but unfortunately to a horrible con man. Randy Fellowes is the detective assigned to her case, and as time goes on he realizes he may be more invested than he first thought. Natalie ends up moving a couple of hours away to a forgotten cabin of her deceased husband's that is located in the Blue Ridge Mountains. The town is small and full of loving people who soon become like family to Natalie. The story is sweet and kept me coming back to find out what would happen next. I just realized this is the first in a series and I can't wait to read the next installment!

And Then There Was You written by Nancy Naigle was oh so very precious and heart warming. Sometimes I just need a palette cleanser and read something less heart breaking, this book definitely did the job. There's just something about neighbors coming together and helping each other out, it just makes me smile nonstop throughout the entire book, it's just so precious to witness. Even though I knew where this book was going with the plot, it just grabbed my heart and wrapped it up in a blanket to keep safe. After reading And Then There Was You, it left a smile on my face knowing that there's still good people in this world who are willing to open their arms for someone who is struggling and willing to help them. I will say, if you're looking for something spicy then this book is NOT for you, but if you're looking for something clean and wholesome, then I can't recommend this sweet book enough. Don't even get me started on the cover, it's so beautifully detailed. Please please do yourself a favor and pick up a copy of this book immediately, I feel like everyone needs to read this book to be reminded that kindness can go A VERY LONG WAY. Please always be kind to everyone, you never know what that said person is going through, because one day karma can come back and bite you in the ass if you're rude and disgusting.

THANK YOU TO NETGALLEY AND ST. MARTIN'S PRESS FOR AN ARC OF THIS BOOK IN EXCHANGE FOR AN HONEST REVIEW!!!!!!

And Then There Was You starts off very emotional, Natalie Maynard is a widow and has returned home from a very sunny and sandy vacation. When Natalie returns home to Richmond, Virginia, she finds that everything in her home has been stolen by a con artist she thought she could love. This con artist deserves a bag of dog shit thrown at his damn face, why would you steal EVERYTHING from a woman who is just looking for someone to love her after losing her husband? When Natalie returns home to find all of her belongings gone, the police are called, but with lack of food and water, Natalie has fainted and has been forced to move in with her best friend until everything gets settled. When Natalie is released from the hospital, she works closely with the detective who has been assigned to her case, only the few leads have led them no where because this stupid con artist could go by a different name now and could have changed his look. My heart instantly broke for Natalie, even her wedding picture had been stolen, like gosh, what is wrong with people? I just wanted to reach into my kindle and give Natalie the biggest hug.

Detective Randy Fellowes, is the detective who has been assigned to Natalie's case. Detective Fellowes can't promise Natalie restitution, but Randy is damn determined to find this con artist and serve up justice before he can strike again. Randy is married to his job, he's always working, so he's willing to go above and beyond to bring justice for Natalie. As Randy and Natalie work closely together, Randy is caught off guard when Natalie keeps wandering to his thoughts long after the work day is over. With the leads not going anywhere, Natalie remembers that her husband had a cabin up in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. Natalie decides to move up to the cabin so she can regroup and focus on other things. When Natalie arrives, she quickly falls in love with the town of Chestnut Ridge and the eccentric people. Through these kind hearted people, and the determination of Randy, Natalie rediscovers her courage, and a reason to fall in love again. I absolutely adored watching everyone in Chestnut Ridge welcome Natalie with opened arms. Detective Randy Fellowes, where do I even start? That man was just an absolute sweetheart who is amazing at his job.

This is the first in a new series and I can't wait to continue it! This book is full of charm, beautifully flawed characters, and a wonderful setting in the mountains of Chestnut Ridge. I will need to read other book by this author now!

Book begins with a con man taking advantage of Natalie and leaving her feeling like a fool and she can not shake the feeling that she allowed this to happen. The detective in charge of the case assures her that it was not her fault and this "man" has conned more than her. Natalie leaves town and settles in a fishing cabin her first husband left her when he passed. The town and the detective help Natalie to believe in herself and to give others a chance to show her how great she is. Nice story with a little romance, mystery and small town vibes.

And Then There Was You left me feeling all the warm and fuzzies when I finished reading this wonderful book. It's.a perfect blend of drama, family, love, and small-town living. While I'm not often a series reader, I am already beyond excited for the second book and can't wait to see what transpires in Chestnut Ridge, what transpires with Natalie and Randy, and all over the other fantastic characters in this book.

I don't really know what else to say except if you're looking for a book that will leave you feeling like your heart is soaring, pick up And Then There Was You.

Thank you, St. Martins Press and NetGalley for the eARC!

I love reading books by this author. They always make me feel so good. This is a cute story about a woman who was taken advantage of by a con artist after losing her husband. A wonderful slow burn as a woman finds family in an unlikely place and finds life again after thinking she would only love once.

What a sweet story of renewal with a touch of romance! I was concerned that I had stumbled into a Christian romance and was not sure if I would enjoy it. However, the faith reference were so genuine and sincere. They were woven into the lives of the characters in a way that reflects the world I inhabit. When Natalie Maynard finds herself practically broke due to a con-artist boyfriend, she retreats to a place of safety that she had forgotten about. She begins to rebuild her life after losing her true love and her financial security. The detective assigned to her case, Randy Fellowes, supports her through this life change. Author Nancy Naigle has written many other books and I look forward to reading more of her library.

I found the title and cover of this book deceptive. Overall, the book was okay. It was a Hallmark Channel movie in a book. Now, I don't particularly enjoy Hallmark movies, so maybe that's on me.

The characters are almost exclusively white southern Christians. The Christian overtones in this book are hit-you-in-the-face obvious and somewhat detracted me from the story. The relationships portrayed throughout the story also leave no room for anything other than hetero, cisgender ones.

The author switches from first to third person and the transitions are jarring, which forced me to provide more focus than I wanted to give this book.

The "twist" at the end of this book did nothing to provide a more interesting story. Throughout the protagonist's journey in Chestnut Ridge, I grew more and more frustrated with her deceased husband for hiding what was obviously a huge part of his life. For some reason, this isn't a conflict and instead, Natalie grows increasingly grateful to Jeremy.

This book should only be read by someone who enjoys Christian prayers and badly produced Christmas movies.

I have read many Nancy Naigle books in the past, and have absolutely adored them, so I was excited to give this one a read, but I have to say that I really struggled to get into this story. More than anything, I think this is ME more than the book... I am a mood reader and have been even more so lately and I feel like perhaps my mind just wasn't quite in the right place for this slower paced read. The story and characters were good, the writing was wonderful as always and it certainly had elements I typically love in a story--- small town charm, a little mystery, etc. The connection just wasn't there for me, which unfortunately sometimes happens even with the best of books. I am definitely putting this one aside and plan to come back to it later when I'm in a better mind space to do so though!
