The story
Hanna is the only non-Wilder family member that works in their family adventure business. She’s the only girl in a family with a lot of boys and really wanted to be one of them. She and the youngest Wilder brother Easton have had a running commentary of teasing going for years, but when visiting foraging chef Bear comes to film for his YouTube channel, Hanna has a crush. Easton has always been the family’s “panty-melter” but suddenly he is seeing Hanna in a new way.
My thoughts
This is the third book that I have read in this series and oh gosh it’s adorable. On the surface heartthrob Easton is the least likely to be interested in tomboy Hanna, but suddenly when that switch goes on, all the attraction is there! And it’s very mutual 😉 I love Hanna’s slightly naive honesty, vulnerability and the way she gives so much of herself to those she loves. I love how Easton finds himself both in life and love but struggles to be able to articulate his feelings. I highly recommend this fast paced feel-good read ❤️
Small town childhood frenemies to lovers!! Loved how it’s done in this book.
This book is sweet, sexy, hilarious & full of great banter. I absolutely loved reading about Hanna and Easton.
"We're Wilders. If you hide out there for too long, we're going to write you a whole Titanic-level drama."
Loved all of E's family. I haven’t read the previous books in this series but will definitely get to it soon.
Thanks to Netgalley, Author Collective 20 and the author for an ARC of this book.
Thank you NetGalley, Serena Bell and Author Collective 20 for the e-arc of Wilder At Last. Will be posted on my Goodreads account and Book Instagram account ( date: Jan 23rd, 2023)
I went into reading this book with having no idea that it was apart of a series. Usually, that would've made me wait but I knew I had to read this now and I'm so glad that I did. I absolutely devoured this book and couldn't pull away from it. This rom-com is definitely a 5 star for me. I enjoyed the banter, the backstories, and the many personalities of all the characters. This childhood, frenemies to lovers story is something I feel so many people will enjoy and possibly relate to. With the main characters Hanna and Easton, you learn a lot about what they've gone through and how throughout this whole story they overcome some of the burdens that have been holding them back from happiness. opportunities and love.
I feel the author really captures how finding what you want and going for it is really worth it. I feel this book will always be something I think about and share with many others. It was just the perfect balance of everything, from jokes, spice, reality, friendships and relationships. I haven't read something this captivating and addicting in a while and I'm just so grateful to have been given an early copy to review and share my honest opinions about. With that being said, I definitely plan to read the other books in this series and experience more of the Wilder family.
The best description of this would probably be frenemies to lovers: there is a long-standing friendship between Easton and Hanna that started in childhood, but it's masked by years of pranking and snarky banter. Still, it works for them; they're entrenched in their lives of working for Wilder Adventures and having a string of bad dates (her) and sleeping with all the women (him)... until it isn't working anymore. Hanna wants a proper relationship; Easton wants a job where he can be taken seriously, and for both of them that's potentially realised with the arrival of influencer Bear Warden.
Of course, that's not how it works out.
I liked the way Hanna's and Easton's characters were explored: their family dynamics with them both being the youngest child, their fears of not being enough, their utter shock and denial about actually being attracted to each other. It's a delicious slow burn that flirts and teases and then explodes, and it's lovely to see them learning about themselves just as much as each other. Characters from previous books in the series make appearances, and this also sets up a new series based around Hanna's brothers, which will hopefully be just as good as this.
Thanks to Netgalley for the advance review copy; all opinions are my own.
Thank you to Authors Collective 20, Serena Bell & NetGalley for allowing me to read this advanced copy.
I didn’t realise this book was part of a series (in fact it’s book 5) but it didn’t matter as the stories only partially overlap.
I’m a sucker for an enemies to lover trope so I went into this with high hopes & the relationship developments didn’t disappoint!! I’d say this one is a lighthearted, “easy” read - I wish I’d been reading it poolside with a cocktail in my hand as it very much felt like a holiday read (in all the right ways!) I would say the steaminess caught me slightly off guard so approach with caution because it’s a bit spicy!!
Reading this has made me want to read the rest of the series. This book is being released on 7th February.
I received this eARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Thanks to Serena Bell, Authors Collective 20 and NetGalley for this opportunity.
Easton Wilder is works along Hanna Hott at Wilder adventures, alongside his brothers. They have worked alongside each other for some time and have a frenemies type of relationship. Wilder adventures hires a celebrity chef to come and offer workshops during the summer and it just so happens that Hanna might have a tiny, little crush on this chef. So she asks Easton for some help to get the guy.
As the family womaniser, Easton knows his way around a mattress but not necessarily a relationship. But as they begin to spend more time outside of work, Easton and Hanna begin to see each other in a different light and Easton begins to think, maybe the celebrity chef isn’t the right guy for her.

I really really enjoyed this book. It’s the fifth book in the Wilder Adventures series but you don’t need to have read the other four to understand this book. They are interconnected standalones.
The development from frenemies to lovers felt natural and it was an easy to read, steamy, romantic comedy. The steam was placed in appropriate positions and went with the storyline. The writing style was to my liking also.
It has encouraged me to seek out the other books in the series in preparation for the publication of this book! It will be available on February 7th.
What if your best friend is also the person who annoys you the most?
And then a famous person comes into town (your personal crush) and you ask the enemy to support you, but everything you do with your practice partner feels so much better than the crush?
But everything has an expiry date and nobody is allowed to know it.
Great, very emotional storytelling. Great characters that never failed to surprise me.
I really liked the idea of the stones.
Have fun reading!
What are the limits of how long two people can be frenemies? Hanna and Easton are proclaimed life long frenemies who work together but we can all see they are best friends with a large dose of sass. I'm here for it!
Sweet banter, a lovely dose of the feels, plus a little spice, made for a perfect introduction to Rush Creek and the Wilders.
Wilder At Last is the 5th book in the Wilder Adventures series and despite not having read any of the previous books (but adding them all to my TBR) it stood solid on its own.
Thank you to Serena, Author Collective 20, and Net Galley for the opportunity.
This was the last installment in the Wilder series and the romance we all saw coming. It was even joked about in the story. These books were all a little shorter than what I'm used to so I read them all in under 3 hours. I got that confused with how much I was enjoying them because usually when I read a story that fast that means I loved it. But Serena Bell just barely misses the mark for me.
This is my first time reading Serena Bell and I read the entire series, yes I am committed. I enjoyed the Wilder brothers I just feel like there was something missing in the writing I'll go more in depth on each book. I enjoyed getting to know more of Hanna I just feel like I still don't know much about Easton. There could have been more character development on both sides and made the books a little longer in my opinion. I have trouble rating this series because I enjoyed the camaraderie and the characters.
I was given an eARC by NetGalley in exchange for an honest review as always, all words are my own.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Like many others on here, I did not realize this book was part of a series when I requested to read it but I didn’t feel like I needed to read the other books to read this one. Could act as a stand alone though there were some times when I was slightly confused and the writing would reference something with familiarity that I didn’t have as a reader.
Love that we have a plus sized female lead, one of the main reasons I wanted to read this book, and the whole frenemies trope is one I usually enjoy. It was a cute story that I enjoyed and was easy to read but nothing I was overly invested in. I’m not an outdoorsy person at all and found myself not really interested in one of the main aspect of the story as it is centred around working at a place called Wilder.
Cute, well written, but not my fave!
This was my first read by Serena Bell, and I will definitely read more of her work in the future. From what I understand, this book is the last one in a series, but I believe it reads fine as a stand-alone book. (In other words, I didn’t feel like I was “missing” something.) The main reason I chose this book was for the plus-sized heroine. You don’t find many curvy female lead characters nowadays, and being a plus-size woman myself, I really appreciated this aspect of the story. I also loved Serena’s writing style and the witty banter between the hero and heroine. I caught myself laughing out loud many times. If you’re in the mood for a fun, light-hearted read that isn’t time-consuming, then Wilder at Last is the book for you.
I rate this 3.5 ⭐
I read this book without firstly realizing it's part of a series, but it's okay to read it without having to read the previous books before this one because you can still understand what's going on. However, it can be confusing at the beginning cause there's a lot of characters introduced which are from the other books in the series. In addition, there's less world building in this so this requires a little faster adjustment to clearly picture the settings of the book.
This is a childhood friends/frenemies to lovers, they work in the same place, the guy helps her to get the guy, and it's setting is in a small town. It's like a combination of the most popular tropes out there and I can say this is a fun lighthearted read. The banter is not quite as often to occur but when they do, they are like children. 😂
Right from the start, I already felt the chemistry between the characters so it made it easier to fly through the book. I just wish that they have spent more time in the woods doing things cause I looked forward to it since I rarely read books that have other settings aside from cities or neighborhoods.
Overall, I like it and I enjoy reading it. It's good to have books now that has diverse characters who I or some people can also relate to and not just people who are always skinny and delicate.
Hanna Hott and Easton Wilder have known each other most of their lives. They've worked together at Wilder Adventures since they were teenagers and have always had a love/hate relationship. Let's just say some pretty epic pranks have occurred!
Wilder Adventures gets an amazing opportunity when 'Bear', an influencer who focuses on foraging food and creating gourmet meals, collaborates with them on several guest camping trips that he films for his channel. Hanna and Easton are picked to be his core collaborators and work alongside him, which proves difficult for these frenemies!
With their lives being shared online and Bear's fans speculating, how will Hanna and Easton ensure that they and Wilder Adventures come out on top?
This is a classic frenemies to lovers book and is the fifth and final in the 'Wilder Adventures' series. I read it all in one go and loved it! The writing style was very engaging and both Hanna and Easton's characters were endearing. I appreciated that we also got an update on the other Wilder brothers and their loves from the last four books.
Thank you to Netgalley, Author Serena Bell and Jelsba Media Group for this ARC copy! The book will be published on the 7th February 2023 so pre-order the book and read the series in preparation!
This was super cute and a quick read. It was a frenemies-to-lovers workplace romance with practice dating and great banter. I didn’t realize it was part of a series when I requested it, but I read it just fine as a stand-alone. There were a lot of characters that I’d probably have a better handle on if I read the previous book, but it wasn’t overwhelming.
I love the Wilders! This is the second book I have read in this series and I love when a series follows a family because you really get to know all of the characters. This story focuses on Easton who is the youngest brother and is known for being a jokester and player. His counterbalance is Hanna, a girl he has known forever and grew up being his constant sparring partner. Even though he has known her forever, all it takes is seeing her falling for someone else to make him realize what he has been missing all along. This is a very cute novel that is just a great happy read.
🏕️Wilder At Last - Serena Bell🏕️
Hanna and Easton have been frenemies for as long as she can remember. Pranks and harsh words have been all they’ve known. This changes when celebrity forester Bear, a muscly attractive outdoorsman, comes on the scene in Wilder HQ for a social media collaboration and Hanna needs Eastons help to win him over.
Queue shopping trips, kissing practice and lots of jealous tension.
This was such a fun read and it had me laughing out loud at parts. I’m usually not a fan of the friends to lovers trope but this was so well done and the banter between them was so funny I didn’t even notice/mind.
This is book 5 in a series but can definitely be read as a stand-alone as I didn’t realise it was a series until I did a bit of digging. I enjoyed it so much I’ll definitely be checking out the other books.
Thank you so much to @netgalley and @serenabellbooks for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. Wilder At Last will be available to purchase from 7th February 2023
I chose this book based on the blurb, and thought that this book had so much promise. Sadly, it didn’t deliver for me.
PROs
Super quick read, easily finished in well under an hour.
Lighthearted and easy to read
Plus sized female main character
CONs
Enemies to lovers wasn’t believeable
Chemistry between main characters wasn’t believeable
Characters were underdeveloped and lacked depth
Simplistic writing style
Thank you to NetGalley for a copy of this book in return for my honest review.
BOOK REVIEW: Wilder at Last by @serenabellbooks
4 Stars
This is one of my all time favourite romance series that has a side of smut! I was so looking forward to this final installment and it did not let me down.
I don't want to give much away so I will explain about the series. It is about the Wilder family which has 5 brothers & their sister. Each book focuses on one of the Wilder brothers. The family run an outdoorsy activity company so all the men are pretty rugged! They all have very different personalities which isn't easy to make them all stand out but Serena Bell manages it!
This book is about the youngest Wilder brother called Easton who is known as the "panty melter" as he is the lothario of the family. I loved Easton and his love interest Hanna from the first book so I was desperate for this story!
It was SUCH a fun read. I especially loved Hanna and her finding herself and opening up in this book was a joy. Hanna and Easton have always been fun frenemies and I love the banter and pranks between them. I would have liked a little more of that in this final book though. I also wish there had been an epilogue on the end of a few years later but there is going to be a spin off series of Hannas brothers so I guess we will see more of them in that!
I LOVE this series with my whole heart. I personally don't think the covers do the content justice so don't judge by the covers! I am so glad I crossed paths with the first book on Netgalley and although I have received each book as an eARC, I have also then bought the physical book because I love it SO much.
It is hard for indie authors to get word out about their books so if you are looking for a fantastic sexy romance series then please pick this one up. You won't regret it!
EDIT: Okay so I just read an extra scene Serena gave a link to at the end of the book and THAT should have been the epilogue!
Please note that I was #gifted this ebook in exchange for an honest review.
Wilder at Last is the fifth and final installment in the Wilder Adventures series. I know I can always expect heart, banter, tension and giggles when I pick up Serena Bell!
Since the beginning, I've been anticipating Easton and Hanna's frenemies to lovers story and this didn't disappoint. Easton is trying to figure out who he is independently and within his family. Hanna is working through letting people in after everyone continuously left her. Them realizing they have feelings for each other was perfection!
This series is solid (though I haven't read book 4 because accidental pregnancy isn't for me) and I recommend if you're looking for an open door series with heart. I'm also greatly anticipating the next series she has brewing following more another family of brothers.
This was the first book I've read from the Wilder Adventures series, and it was SO good!
Wilder at Last is book 5 of 5 in the series, but can easily be read as a standalone, so although I wasn't familiar with the characters, it didn't affect my enjoyment or understanding of it at all!
No spoilers summary:
Wilder at Last focuses on Easton and Hanna, they've known each other since childhood and both work at Wilder Adventures, the business Easton and his family run. They have a love-hate relationship; they're always bickering and arguing, but deep (deep!) down they've got a good friendship. The arrival of celebrity chef Bear Warden sparks Hanna's interest, and she enlists Easton's help to win his affections... But Easton finds himself struggling with the whole situation.
Things I loved about this book:
The banter between Easton and Hanna
The plus-size representation
How well the love triangle was handled
The family dynamic and how they both navigated this & their changing relationship
Read this if you like:
dual POV
"enemies" to lovers (they're definitely more frenemies!)
workplace romance
mutual pining, though he falls first
well-handled love triangles
spicyyy scenes
Publication date: 7th Feb '23
This was a great 4⭐ read for me. I now plan to get the whole Wilder Adventures series- I need to properly meet the other Wilder brothers! I'm also excited to start the new spin off about Hanna's family 🤩
Thank you to Serena Bell, NetGalley, and Jelsba Media Group for this eARC in exchange for an honest review! 🤍
