This latest Dino’s Don’t book the Dino Don’t Meditate by Catherin Bailey is an absolute gem. Rex is not at all happy to meditate like his friends. He does not understand why Sam and the other dinos want to rest in quiet and think. One day when Rex gets stuck and has to rest in order for him to get out of the mess then her realizes what Sam and the other dinos were saying all along sometimes the best thing to do is sit still in the quiet and rest.

Alex Willmore did a beautiful job with the marker-style graphics for this book. The depictions of the dinosaurs is well drawn and the aspects of the personality of the dinosaurs came through in the `depictions. I think he did well working with Catherine on truly showing the personality of not just Rex but also Sam.

This is a well-written book that can be enjoyed by all ages children’s book. It tackles things like feelings and emotions which is always something to look for his a children’s book. I did find the little meditations and meditation rocks explanation in the back was a nice little bonus for little ones to learn about what meditation practice is. I really recommend this little read and I think it will be a good little bonus to any childhood bookshelf.

Dinos Don't Meditate is an excellent book to read to children to help them begin having times of quiet in their lives. The meditation excercises in the end of the book are designed to appeal to children. The story is well written and beautifully illustrated. I have a nine year old grandson and I look forward to reading it with him.

This book was very cute and had a great message for children. Mindfulness is so important for children to learn. The illustrations were well drawn and helped narrate the story throughout. I had trouble with the story itself, as it rhymes in some parts and not in others. It didn’t feel like there was much of a flow. Otherwise, my children would love this story about two very different dinosaurs able to get along through mindfulness!
