This was so weird, yet absolutely entertaining.

Had no idea the premise would be so literal and done so well. What a pleasant surprise.

This bizarre tale reads like a modern spin on Kafka’s ‘Metamorphosis’ (though, far less depressing). Once again, the author takes you into the fever-dream that is the Eighth Block Tower. More characters are added to this wild universe. I look forward to the next odd installment with relish.

Look, I'm just as shocked to say this as you are to read this, but I don't think I've related to a book so much as I did to this one in a very long time. Not so much the whole literally turning into a bathroom thing but the whole I have chronic pain and I've been watching as my body becomes something that I don't recognize while the doctors and healthcare system can't be bothered to even LOOK at me. The doctor scene and subsequent bill were each so absurd and yet realistic I didn't know wether to laugh or cry.

All of my trauma aside, this book like all the others in this series is wild and disturbing and hilarious and weird and I loved it. Always an adventure when you visit the Eighth Block Tower.

This novella exceeded my expectations. The writing was excellent, making me genuinely care about the characters. Super fun! I will check out other books in this series.

I enjoyed the audiobook of this. It was utterly bonkers but I enjoyed. When I first read the synopsis I thought surely not, but yes, this book is about a man who turns into a bathroom. Madness!

Like the other Bedlam Bibles, Fight Tub is wonderfully weird... Weird and exciting and always entertaining.

Thanks to NetGalley for the Audiobook!

Above and beyond my expectations. I was def not expecting to have a book about a man turning into his bathroom be so relatable to the current state of a lot of our lives.
It is so bizarre that you are taken back and its like "well shit! I am currently experiencing that!!" (deep relatable take on medical care)
The imagery is phenomenal too! Currently picturing some of my co workers turning into toilets too....

p,s the little jokes take it up a notch

Alsoooo, kudos to the narrator!

Another fun, dark and absurd instalment of the Bedlam Bible series. This is one of the stronger stories, Kafka meets Palahniuk with a touch of romance and a jab at the American private health care system.

Really interesting, bizarre and disturbing book. It gives kind of those courage-the-cowardly-dog vibes. A disease that turns humans into bathrooms and toilets and a building that wants to eat them alive, it was really thrilling.

Also, it had a little emotional element too. The boss of our main character turns out to be a jerk and he is making life for his employees miserable. The residents of eighth block tower are dying in poverty, don't even have money to see a doctor and when they do go to a doctor, he turns out to be an amateur fraud. In short, life in eighth block tower is far from happy.

"our suffering is what binds us. Everyone of us are suffering in our own ways."

I love these bizarre little books, william pauley writes. I like reading his books when I'm feeling fed up with some slow books that I would be reading. This one was probably my favorite of the four I've read. I think these books can be great if he adds a realistic element to it, writes a longer book with a nice plot. I should think, it would be an amazing novel, if written like one. But oh well, I liked it.

Thank you Netgalley and Doom fiction audio for the ARC in exchange of an honest review.

I have previously listened to few books by William Pauley III which are narrated by Connor Brannigan and honestly I have liked then very much. This was along the same lines but I couldn't get myself engaged.

Same weird, bizarre setting. If you are into that stuff you will definitely like it and Connor Brannigan's narration is spot on as usual. I think it's time for me to take a break from the weird 8th tower people though as the likeness of the stories is kind of boring for me.

Thank you Doom Fiction Audio for accepting my request to read and review Fight Tub on NetGalley.

Author: William Pauley, III

Argh. Sadly, when I requested this book as well as The Astronaut Dream Book, on the same NetGalley visit, I didn't pay attention to the author. There would be no discussion. Previously The Tower caught my eye, also written by Pauley, and it was a huge disappointment.

The language is foul and trashy. The premises are intriguing; however, I'm so uncomfortable listening and physically reading I can't focus. There is no entertainment.

Three times, three strikes.

Ok, this is the first book that I read of this series and that was a mistake. I was largely confused by what was going on and what was considered normal behavior. If you really like a new age horror/sci-fi, then this is perfect for you!

Thank you to Netgalley for providing me with an audiobook. This book was a really good experience. I’m usually not into these kinds of books that feel like a fever dream, hence the 3 stars.

Thank you to NetGalley for the audio ARC of Fight Tub by William Pauley III.

Another stroke of ridiculous brilliance, you've got to read it. The Bedlam Bible has been a real joy to read, especially in audio.

I enjoyed this book. It’s funny how it was able to stick with me. I started reading this book Back in Oct, got away from reading for quite some time yet I still had this book with me when I picked it back up to finish it.

Soooo admission first, a friend sent me a photo of this book cover and description "Fight Tub: The story of a man who became his bathroom." and we had a good chuckle over it. But, then curiosity took over...I mean, who doesn't want to know how a man became his bathroom? And so, it slid into my downloads.

Being honest, I didn't have high expectations about this "bizarro fiction" so I am pleasantly surprised to admit I actually enjoyed this! While the storyline is whacked, the writing is great, the character building fantastic and the humour really got me.

I literally had laugh out loud moments to lines like, “I turned my head to examine the handle that was forming in my right ear. It looked to be a toilet flusher. I thought what the hell and give it a little push then immediately pissed myself.”

It's a short read (or listen) and it is nice to work your imagination into the visuals of this! Solid 4 stars for the most bizarre plot I think I have ever read.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for the audio book download!

This is the best in the series so far!

Great cover buy!

The book … absurd. A resident of 8th Block Tower slowly morphs into his toilet. Yes. and nearly everyone ignores his transformation. It’s just priceless.

Another great narration.

This is a new genre for me & I’m really enjoying it!

I would first like to thank William Pauley III for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for an honest review. When I came across this book title and artwork I was automatically drawn in, as a huge fan of fight club, I had to at least give this book a go. It did not disappoint. I wasn't expecting much, but this book had me laughing at loud at parts and at others I was cringing. You could say I experienced a wide array of emotions, which goes to show how well written this book is. This book makes me want to pick up others by Pauley, his writing style sucked me in and the narration was perfection.
