DNF @ 15% - perhaps this is my own misguidings here but there was a lot more plane trauma in this story than I anticipated, and while I had been putting it off for quite some time due to the plane setting, after reading HERE ONE MOMENT, and loving it, I decided to give this one a go … instead, I had a full blown panic attack, although I wanted to keep going because the characters were so adorable and fresh! if it had a different setting, I would have devoured this one!

- Sapphic romance
- Pilot & Nurse
- Fake Dating
- Grief
- Found Family
- Mental Health Rep

Don’t let this cute cover fool you, this book is such an emotional rollercoaster. While it is a relatively “cute” romance the author also dives into tougher topics such as: grief, loss and family drama. I was both overwhelmingly angry and sad on Olive’s behalf in regards to her family situation and everything with her ex. I honestly wasn’t happy with the lack of resolution on either subject. I really wanted Olive to stand up to her parents and for Lindsey to face consequences. The ending was rough for me with the miscommunication between Olive and Stella. I wish we would have gotten Stella’s POV, I feel like the added insight would have added a lot more to the story.

"Fly with Me" was a delightful little love story that covered some heavy topics including end of life decisions, mental health and workplace discrimination. I really enjoyed the characters and their story and was rooting for them the whole way.

Thank you to Griffin and Netgalley for an advanced readers copy of this book for my honest review.

Fun and cute read for those that are looking for more books in this genre. Fake dating trope, nervous flyer and lots of romance.

Fly with Me is a sweet and spicy romantic comedy with an opposites attract, fake relationship trope. Stella and Olive are completely different but make the best couple and have fantastic chemistry. Full of laughs, tears and swoons, I enjoyed reading their story even if it was a bit predictable.

Such a good sapphic romance debut! I loved how they met on the airplane and how they journeyed to Disney together.

This book wasn't bad by any means. I read about 60% but I can just tell that it's going to be a 3-star read. Something about the fake-dating aspect isn't doing it for me. I do love the sapphic representation and the family dynamics that are being explored, but I just needed something "more" in order to be more intrigued with the story.

I absolutely loved this book! I’ve been looking for more lesbian romance novels, and this one was absolutely perfect. The characterization, pacing, and reveals were all done so well, I will absolutely be reading more by this author!

This was a really cute debut sapphic romance!

Olive’s anxiety was well written and entirely relatable. And I couldn’t get enough of the very suave Stella.

Strong offering from Andie Burke! Can’t wait to read more from her!

I love this book so much! I got hook reading it and couldn't put it down. I love the relationship of the 2 MC from fake dating to real with the emotion developing over time. I fell in love with the character and the story how Olive made Stella realized what was important and brought the best in her.

ER nurse Olive Murphy suffers from aerophobia, a fear of flying, and so it's only fitting that during her first-ever flight, a passenger suffers from a medical emergency. Olive leaps into action saving a life, but because of the diverted emergency landing, she now finds herself hours away from the Disney marathon she's supposed to be running in honour of her brother. Luckily for her, Stella Soriano, the stunning type A copilot, offers to give her a ride from Atlanta to Florida. After the two spend a magical day together, Stella makes a surprising proposition: will Olive be her fake girlfriend?

I really enjoyed the chemistry between Olive and Stella. The story did have some pacing issues and felt much longer than the pages it encompasses, but I loved seeing their characters develop individually and together as a couple. Both MCs are so endearing. Andie Burke does a wonderful job portraying the fake dating trope in an authentic and honest way. My only other complaint is that there was a little too much time spent outside of the relationship when that's what I wanted to see most.

It's important to note how Fly with Me explores events and actions that may be triggering to some readers including mentions of loss of a family member, grief, anxiety, depression, sexism in the workplace, emotionally abusive parents and toxic exes/relationships.

For a debut novel, Fly with Me hit many positive notes, including being beautifully written, capturing a raw and poignant storyline, having a hot sapphic romance, and making readers have no choice but to root for the love story at hand.

I was recently diagnosed with anxiety and noticed that I could relate to the FMC in the sense of not preparing for the unknown. I loved watching the character development and I love fake dating tropes. I appreciate the fact that when reading books that there is some way to relate with the characters as it makes the book more enticing to read.

Thank you for the opportunity to review this arc and many apologies for the day in review.

Fly with me was a great read, I really appreciated the anxiety representation but it was a bit of a difficult read for that same reason. I had to put it down and pick it back up when I was in the right frame of mind. Love a fake to real romance and overall I really enjoyed it.

I was trying to complete this book for months hoping I would like it more as I read on, but sadly, I’m just not vibing with it. A lot of the dialogue felt dated, we only got the POV of Olive and she could sometimes be insufferable, and I didn't feel the chemistry between them at all.

Additionally, I usually love the fake dating trope, but I just couldn’t fully justify this book's motivation. One of the side characters says it doesn’t make sense and even the MC says it a few times!

I was so excited for this and it does have heartwrenching/warming moments, but this one just wasn’t for me. However, I would be excited to see what else Andie Burke writes in the future.

A fun, silly journey that requires suspending your disbelief but in an escapist sorta way. I really liked the writing and the characters' relationship to each other.

This was such a sweet love story with some deeper themes. I loved Olive and Stella's blossoming relationship in this book!

-single pov
-queer love
-opposites attract
-fake dating
-themes of grief and loss
-toxic familial relationships
-battling sexism in the workplace
-character growth

The audio was an easy listen as well! I was able to listen and follow along with the e-book (thank you netgalley for the e-book!) I found their story to be so sweet and swoony (a bit of a slow burn!) while also graciously dealing w/ those heavier themes mentioned above. I would have liked some more resolution with Stella's family (because tbh her mom was the worst). However, overall I enjoyed this book!
