I am not sure if this is meant to be read as a parody or as actual erotica.

So in the future everything will be so readily available that people are chasing after any thrill they can. When time travel becomes available, bored horn dog Erin decides her life is missing some Dino dick.

Anatomically this book makes zero sense. Sex appeal wise, I’m really hoping this is meant as a parody. I have no idea what else to say about this one other than I think therapy for Erin would have been money well spent 😂.

The word all is frequently al and there also misprints throughout. One line was supposed to be about Erin staring in Kim’s eyes and grabbing her ass but instead said staring in her ass and gabbing her ass. Also once Kim is involved the names get mixed up during some of the intimate parts.

Well, the description grabbed my curiosity and I’m not sure I’m happy about that. I mean, I didn’t hate the book, I just didn’t really like it either. The writing wasn’t great, and it really needs a thorough editing.

I'm sure there is a very specific audience for this type of book and unfortunately I am not it. That being said, I gave it an honest try and I am sure, considering there is a lid for every pot, that this will be a five star read for someone...

Strange and uncomfortable to read... I'm just really not sure what else to say about this. Judging from a quick author search it appears as though this is their "niche." I felt like the writing flowed, it was easy to read - I just could not get into it.

Triceratops and Bottoms is a book of short stories by Lola Faust that follow our main character, Erin. In the distant future, where everything is automated, it is hard to really live your life to the fullest. Erin dreams of a life with more adventure so when the opportunity to test time travel belts becomes available, she jumps at the chance. The further set back she can travel is the Jurassic period as to not upset the timeline so she heads out in an adventure with the dinosaurs.

In the first and longest short story, Erin comes across a herd of triceratops and quickly befriends one. When the herd is attacked, Erin does her best to try and save them with some of the gadgets she has from the future. In doing so, her connection with her triceratops friend becomes deeper and sparks fly.

I think at the core of this story, you have a woman who is incredibly lonely and has never felt true love before. Throughout every short story, she finds connections with the creatures she comes in contact with and those connections flourish into moments of brief passion, only to be stripped from her after her time travel belt runs out of power. This book really explores the deeper topics like not judging what is in the outside and also the ability for different dinosaur anatomy to work with a human woman and that’s just beautiful. This book also shows that language does not have to be a barrier when you have a deep connection and there is still consent given before every romantic encounter which is very important.

Through this book, Erin really learns more about herself as a person and by the end emerges as a character with a new understanding of what love can be. We see that humans and dinosaurs aren’t that different in the way that we can feel. Every dinosaur encounter is a chance to explore something new and learn from those experiences which can be seen as a metaphor for life in general.

The “about the author” at the end said that this author uses a pen name as she is actually employed in the field of paleontology so I know that everything in this book could happen.

I. Just. What. I don’t know why I do it to myself, especially after reading the last one where at least I didn’t know what to expect. This one I had no excuse, I knew what I was about to read yet I still did so anyway and it made me feel equally disgusting and scared the police were going to knock on my door and arrest me for something. Sadly there isn’t really a redeeming quality to this book, The stories were creepy in a bad way, The subject matter was vile and I hate to say it but the writing was bad too…having said that I still think others should read it so I don’t feel so alone in my depravity!

Dinosaur erotica!!! Unique and tongue in cheek, this was a very imaginative and surreal quick read. Who knew dinosaurs were this sensual and intelligent?

The writing is not the greatest, but who cares, really, when you have lots of sweet dinosaurs!! One even talks! This is a fun quick read, not to be taken too seriously.

I saw this title floating around and thought it was so absurd and hilarious that I couldn’t stop myself from giving it a try. I’ve read approximately zero erotica books before, so I’m not sure why I decided to start with sexy dinosaur adventures to kickstart my journey into the genre. I feel slightly tainted after having read this and if there is a heaven, I’ll surely be denied entry. That being said, you get what you sign up for. I won’t be able to think about dinosaurs in the same way ever again.

I was scrolling through NetGalley and came across this and thought to myself, why the hell not? I’ve heard of this authors other books through different book groups on FB so figured I’d give it a try to see if it was really as whacky as I’ve been led to believe. This was definitely a fever dream, I will say that it was captivating in a car crash sort of way. Read in exchange for an honest review!

This book is exactly what you think it is and it was honestly enjoyable, both because of the humor and because of the situation that Erin puts herself in. It was slightly disappointing because I thought it was going to be one novella but it seems more like a bunch of little novella's in one, which is why I'm giving it 3 stars. But other than that, it was a decent read for what you expect!

Do I question my sanity? Yes.
Did I laugh myself into tears? Also, yes.
Do I regret it? No.
Was it a turn on? Also, no.

Erin is bored with what the future has to offer for all her sexual needs. A time machine becomes available for testing and our girl Erin volunteers as tribute cause she’s ready to get freaky in the trenches of WWI…or better yet with some GD dinos. Why the hell not? On her adventures she discovers dinos can understand her and she knows how to turn them on.

These short stories were wild. Every time I thought I was finished reading this, another short story snuck up on me that was even more outrageous than the last. And the ‘bonus story’ dino actually talks.

Why did I read this? For shits and giggles. And damnit I laughed my ass off.

So, why 3 stars? Embarrassingly for me, this had potential to be a longer story with, weirdly enough, more depth. The writing was juvenile and things progressed at an alarming rate. Bonus points if, as the ‘about the author’ states, this was written by an actual paleontologist who remains anonymous.
