This book is exactly what you think it is and it was honestly enjoyable, both because of the humor and because of the situation that Erin puts herself in. It was slightly disappointing because I thought it was going to be one novella but it seems more like a bunch of little novella's in one, which is why I'm giving it 3 stars. But other than that, it was a decent read for what you expect!

Dinosaur erotica!!! Unique and tongue in cheek, this was a very imaginative and surreal quick read. Who knew dinosaurs were this sensual and intelligent?

The writing is not the greatest, but who cares, really, when you have lots of sweet dinosaurs!! One even talks! This is a fun quick read, not to be taken too seriously.

I don’t know what to say. This is EXACTLY what you expect it to be. The copy I received had multiple stories in it. Some were fleshed out, others were really short. The writing style also wasn’t the best. But my rating reflects the overall experience I had because some of these stories weren’t as good as the others. Overall though, a good time if you enjoy smut. Also, a little humorous. Definitely not for everyone, but a good time if you want a short, quick read.

In Triceratops and Bottoms, we meet Erin who currently bored with life. She just recently discovered that a Time Machine exists and she wants to use it to fulfill her most erotic desires. When given the opportunity to travel to the Jurassic era, Erin jumps at the chance to go explore the ancient world. Once she arrives, she encounters multiple prehistoric creatures, but none as memorable as a triceratops, which she names Cera and she bonds very closely with him…multiple times…When she returns home, she’s determined to go back to meet more dinosaurs - so she also travels on multiple trips back in time and more dinosaur adventures

First of all, I’m gonna start this review by saying this book was exactly what it advertises and I was not disappointed! It’s got a super fun triceratops clutch cover FFS…It’s 15k+ words of spectacular dinosaur/human smut with minimal plot…if you go into it expecting exactly that and suspending all current knowledge of human anatomy, you’re gonna have fun

Three stars for an entertaining read! And if you couldn’t tell already, this is smutty…four flames for smut! If you’re expecting more than that, this is probably not the book for you

This was wild. I had actually heard about this author earlier this week, so thought it was only fitting that I read this one when it popped up on NetGalley.

A collection of short stories, all revolving around intimate relationships with dinosaurs. It honestly was exactly what I was expecting it to be. Some of the short stories were better than others, but we got what we signed up for.

Formatting wise, definitely needs some editing, but this is an advanced copy so it might be heading for some more edits.

Triceratops and Bottoms is a book of short stories by Lola Faust that follow our main character, Erin. In the distant future, where everything is automated, it is hard to really live your life to the fullest. Erin dreams of a life with more adventure so when the opportunity to test time travel belts becomes available, she jumps at the chance. The further set back she can travel is the Jurassic period as to not upset the timeline so she heads out in an adventure with the dinosaurs.

In the first and longest short story, Erin comes across a herd of triceratops and quickly befriends one. When the herd is attacked, Erin does her best to try and save them with some of the gadgets she has from the future. In doing so, her connection with her triceratops friend becomes deeper and sparks fly.

I think at the core of this story, you have a woman who is incredibly lonely and has never felt true love before. Throughout every short story, she finds connections with the creatures she comes in contact with and those connections flourish into moments of brief passion, only to be stripped from her after her time travel belt runs out of power. This book really explores the deeper topics like not judging what is in the outside and also the ability for different dinosaur anatomy to work with a human woman and that’s just beautiful. This book also shows that language does not have to be a barrier when you have a deep connection and there is still consent given before every romantic encounter which is very important.

Through this book, Erin really learns more about herself as a person and by the end emerges as a character with a new understanding of what love can be. We see that humans and dinosaurs aren’t that different in the way that we can feel. Every dinosaur encounter is a chance to explore something new and learn from those experiences which can be seen as a metaphor for life in general.

The “about the author” at the end said that this author uses a pen name as she is actually employed in the field of paleontology so I know that everything in this book could happen.

This was a new author & trope for me. I thought it was fun, bonkers, and steamy! I do believe you need to go in not expecting high hope for a romance bc it’s just sexy times with Dino’s! I thought it was so entertaining and do look forward to what’s next from this author! I also hope she makes an ending for Alice & Rex!

Oh em gee. What was that? What did I just read? What. Was. That?
Ok, I was really very well aware of what it is when I was downloading it. I was really very, very well aware of what it is when I was having a very heated debate inside my own head if I should read this. But still, I am all OH EM GEE WHAAAAAT now.
I thought I had made a very firm decision ages ago – I am not a romance reader of any kind, I am not an erotica reader of any kind, I am not a smut reader of any kind. Of course, when I made this decision, it was more based on the fact that most of those kinds of books are filled with heterosexual people, and the non-hetero women are often written by men or by whateverheteros, and that’s just cringe. But then, enter a… dino. Huh? Dino?! Ok. I am quite open-minded, right? I have never, ever heard of a dino romance. That is something totally new to me. No heterosexual men there, so, it should be fine, right? Right? RIGHT? I am never going to yuck someone else’s yum, right? And how do I know it is not also my own yum, if I know nothing about it, right? And curiosity got the best of me.
I am so confused now. I really have no words. It was… it was. Something. Else.
I am not sure how I feel about telling other people that I have read this book. I am not sure I want to discuss it with anyone. Like, ever.
I am not sure I will be recommending this book to anyone, ever. Also, I am not sure I will NOT be recommending this book to anyone.
Ok, to sum it up, it was the weirdest thing I have read. Ever. EVER. And I read a lot. And I read a lot of weird stuff.
Does it make sense? Not really. Is it fun to read? Not particularly. Have I become smarter now that I have read it? Not really, the opposite might be true in fact. Is it well-written? Also, not at all. As a cherry on top, the timeline for dinos was way off. Triceratops roaming the earth at the same time as brachiosaurus? What. A. Party. Pooper. Mixing up timelines like that, who even does that? Off by TENS OF MILLIONS OF YEARS, crazy! That ruins any fantasy by making it totally unbelievable. And how tall is the woman in this book? Nothing is said about the triceratops being incredibly small – so, that must mean that in the year 2122 (or something like that) all women are giants. If a triceratops is said to be about 30ft tall, there is no way it would be able to do all… umm… all THAT with someone who is, like, 6ft tall. That someone has to be at least 20ft tall.
Yet… ok, maybe you just need to read it for yourself. There, I said it. Go and read it. Just don’t blame me. Read the blurb, it is all true there. Read it. And then, welcome to the club. The club where we never tell anyone about the books we have read.

Also, if I had to add a title to my review, I would absolutely call it "Secret Confessions of a Very Confused Pearl-Clutcher".

Triceratops and Bottoms is a very short erotic novella, and yes it is about exactly what it sounds like it is about. Erin, a women who lives in a futuristic world where they have developed the tech for time travel. Erin has had many sexual encounters with women, men and different beings. She is getting bored though and feels like she has done it all. So when she get the chance to travel back to the prehistoric times she jumps right into the past. She actually has the chance to jump to the past multiple times, and each time she experiences a sensual encounter with a different type of dinosaur. Honestly I went into this book with very little expectations and I have to say it was exactly what I thought it was going to be. It was not a hard hitting book, but it was a fun short read that held no scientific fact. If you are looking for a short kind of wonky erotica, Triceratops and Bottoms is the novella for you.

this was enjoyable but it was really short, I enjoyed the concept of dinosaur erotic. The one problem I had with this book was that just as I was getting into the story it ended. Lola Faust has a great style for this type of book and I can't wait to read more.

Triceratops and Bottoms is an absolutely wild book of short stories by Lola Faust that follow our main character Erin about 100 years into the future. Eager to get the opportunity to explore every hedonistic fantasy, she jumps at the chance to test time travel belts and explore the Jurassic period.
These stories played out exactly as expected and were certainly entertaining. I appreciated the fact that the Dinosaurs appeared sentient and that consent was seemingly granted(eagerly and almost lovingly almost) before every encounter.

This book is as provocative as its title. It's a fairly short novella with little build up to the...uh... exciting content. Yes it's weird, but all things considered I found this to be actually kinda creative and decently written. Not my cup of tea but it certainly adds something unique to the genre.

I must admit the cover and title both drew my attention, and I was really unsure of what to expect here. It is, indeed, dinosaurs copulating with a women. I am not a fan in general of romance, or erotica books, but I do like that the language in this book veered towards a female perspective, in regards to sex. Very silly, futuristic setting, and honestly this book sort of reminded me of the book House of Holes by Nicholson Baker in its absurdity. It was also a very fast read; I was able to finish it in about 30 minutes. I think if you're looking for a palette cleanser after reading something very emotionally heavy or dense, this would be just the fun read! I will keep Lola Faust on my radar for future tales of bizarre, and thank you to NetGalley and Publisher for the ARC!

Basic plot:
Erin uses a newly developed time machine to bring her hoohah to the prehistorical era.

Give this a try if you want:
- dino smut – Erin goes and has multiple affairs with various dinosaur species
- higher steam – dino love is the focus of this story
- this does include a threesome with another human, Kim, that goes with Erin to assist a supersaurus
- you’ll have to be okay with a decent amount of formatting and spelling errors
- you want to say you read a dino smut book titled Triceratops and Bottoms. Come on, you know you wanna...

My thoughts:
Whyyyyy do I do this to myself?? I should have glanced at reviews first because I had the same issues as many others.

The formatting errors are unfortunate because that was rough for me. Almost every page had weird page breaks along with the title “Triceratops and Bottoms” and the chapter section interspersed in the text and it made it really hard to read. Harder than dinosaur smut should ever have to be!

I wasn’t expecting a masterpiece. I wasn’t expecting historical accuracy. I did want it to be readable though…

The most developed story is the love affair on the beach with the triceratops. Except the heroine named her triceratops Cera! Huh??? Why would you do that to anyone that watched The Land Before Time???

Honestly I thought that was all I was going to get was triceratops love. BUT I GOT SO MUCH MORE! I had no idea there were other titles within this story, including My Boyfriend is a Plesiosaur, Mile High Pterodactyl Club, A Carnotaurus for Christmas, My Sexy Supersaurus…

My favorite part was reading about how Erin got banned from time traveling for harassing the dinosaurs. Don’t worry though, life finds a way and she’s able to go back for more dinosaur -d-

I got Dino Stud at the same time as this one and I am just hoping it’s better than this.

My first venture into dinosaur smut and I didn’t hate it. Now this isn’t as graphic as some smut I’ve read, and honestly was pretty tame. The dinosaurs can understand and even communicate with noises? It’s not bad for some Dino novellas. Because they are all short you don’t get a lot of story development, if that’s what you’re looking for, I would go with time travel dinosaur smut. It’s a bit silly, a bit sexy, and bit wild. First and last story has the most detail. Fun and ridiculous is what I’d call it.

The first five stories Triceratops and Bottoms, My Boyfriend is a Plesiosaur, Mile High Pterodactyl Club, A Carnotaurus for Christmas, and My Sexy Supersaurus feature Erin and her adventures. The bonus story Tyrannosaurus Sext is about Alice, a woman who finally meets up with the talking T-Rex that she has been texting.


After reading Dino Stud, I had to pursue the writing of Lola Faust. In this collection of short stories, as I mentioned above we meet Erin, a woman living in a future where technology has so advanced, she has a lot of leisure time on her hands. This might be a little bit of nepotism on my part BUT I do adore it when the female protagonist and I share a name. Erin, our protagonist is very sexually frustrated( so much so that she spends a lot of these stories naked) and luckily has a time-traveling belt to seek new mates( not really what I would do if I had a time-traveling belt but this is a judgment-free zone).

Sometimes she'd simply wake up craving sex and intense orgasms, so much that she'd just pack her bag and head off on a nomadic, hedonistic adventure off-world.

Now, you might be asking me "Well, Erin, surely there are some alien species that the protagonist can seek out?" My friends, there are, but our protagonist has already had a mind-blowing orgy with a large crowd of bisexual blue-skinned aliens. She's looking for something a little crazier. Starting with virtual simulation and engaging in erotic play with dinosaurs, get Erin thinking " What if I traveled back to the Jurassic Period and engaged in the real thing?"

What ensues is the most mind-boggling series of erotica stories that I have ever encountered but like a car accident, I just couldn't look away. The writing isn't really that great but I found it entertaining and humorous.

This book is totally what it says it is. A dinosaur erotica book. The first line in the book description is: 'She was a time-traveling sexaholic in search of the ultimate dinogasm!'

I found this smut story fun and enjoyable even though it was quite short with minimal plot.

The copy I received via NetGalley had some typos/formatting issues hopefully these were corrected before the book was published.

What. Did. I. Just. Read.

I saw a friend on bookstagram reading this and needed something ridiculous as this in my life. And it delivered. Dinosaur erotica, who knew?

I love that the author is a paleontologist. I didn’t think I would be able to get into the time travel aspect it worked.

A woman uses a time machine to go back in time and bonk dinosaurs.

Because of course she does.

I don't even know how to rate this because it's at the top end of the range for Lola Faust weirdness, and has a complete story arc. But if you pick this up NOT having context for Lola Faust, you might find yourself needing eye bleach.

Bonkers weirdness, but that's what I came here for...

I'll leave it for you to decide.

Triceratops and Bottoms by Lola Faust is a set of dinosaur erotica takes. Erin loves adventures especially of the sexual nature. When she gets the chance to travel back in time to the Jurassic period she discovers dinosaurs are more intelligent and much more sensual than man expected. She spends her jumps getting intimate with the locals.
I rated this book 4 out of 5 stars. I am a fan of the weird and k!nky. It's an interesting book filled with action. It's set in the future and has some interesting world-building in regards to technology. Faust definitely used her imagination to determine how Erin could safely be intimate with dinosaurs. Each little tale is spicy. If you like erotica with non-humans these tales will keep you warm in bed.

Before picking this book up, you must set aside any expectation of any semblance of reality. Then, and only then, should you dive in to this utterly ridiculous, yet hilarious and entertaining tale of dinosaur erotica in which Erin travels back in time for a series of titillating encounters with the prehistoric creatures. After zipping throught this quick-read novella, I couldn't resist checking out the other titles by this author.

Having read Wet Hot Allosaurus Summer, I went in with low expectations and was pleasantly surprised. Maybe it was the triceratops or maybe it was just knowing exactly what I was getting in to. Every book has it's demographic.

Well, this was a wild ride. I thought this sounded absolutely hilarious and I was not disappointed. My husband and I took turns reading it aloud to one another and honestly, we had a blast! We laughed so much and had a great time with it. The main character is bored of her life and decides she needs more spice. She's done just about every other sexual adventure and she's in the market for something more thrilling and dare I say, more dangerous. She decides to time travel back to the age of the dinosaurs for a truly wild adventure- and she gets what she is after. If you enjoyed the humor in such things like "My Dad Wrote A Porno", you will for sure have just as much fun with Triceratops and Bottoms. I gave the book 3 stars for the sheer madness and laughter I got from it. This will not be for everyone but for those of you who have similar humor, you can be amused and disturbed all at once!
