Sinfully hot scenes between Emily and Leo those two scorched the pages throughout the book... But one thing wasn't clear on what happened to 9ne of the characters from the book.... Other than that it was an entertaining book to read...

Well this was a great read! I enjoyed the back from the past dynamics, the sexy chemistry and loved how the story unfolded. I felt there was some hints dropped for future books, so I will definitely keep my eyes open for more from this author.

This book has plenty of action and also sex. The main characters know each other from the past and now are back together after she has gotten out of an abusive relationship. The author gives you a back story about the characters and also takes you on a ride with a good book.

I thought that this book had a great storyline

The characters were really well developed I loved the mix of personalities and getting to know more about them as the book progressed

The book had plenty of action and romance and there was plenty to keep me entertained and turning the pages - it was a pretty addictive read and I did read it in one afternoon.

Romantic and sexy - it is 4 stars from me for this one - highly recommended!

First off, thank you to Netgalley for providing me with the ARC for this book.

I honestly don’t have much to say, this book was definitely not my style of read. I would say it was about 80% smut and 20% plot. I found myself skimming and skipping a lot of the story because I just was not interested in the development of the story. Leo also pissed me off a little, he was giving major caveman vibes and Emily was annoying.

The reason this is 3 stars is because it wasn’t actually a bad book, if someone else read this, who was more open to the plot, i have no doubt they would enjoy it. The spicy scenes were also very well written.

Rating: 3/5⭐️

Publication Date: April 20th 2023

Author: A.E. Nalle

Review: This book was fine. I didn’t feel like it really wowed me but the story kept moving alone to where it was easy to read it’s not terribly long to read either which I think saved me if it was any longer I don’t know how I would feel about it. I did jump right into reading the third book instead of reading the first one but I honestly don’t think that mattered at all I do it pretty often that it doesn’t really affect my view

A good read on the whole, and a very steamy one too.
The story was interesting and full of great plots, twists etc.

But I’m afraid the tense it was written in was not to my liking, and the general writing style was just not for me.
Having said that I can see it being a good thing if you can get past that.

Thankyou to Netgally for the Arc copy of this book, I chose to post this review

First off, I want to thank NetGalley, the publisher, and the author for this arc.

Emily is looking for her brother, Tanner, who goes missing one day. After having left an abusive relationship three years prior, she changed her last name and disappeared from the people in her life. Now, as she looks for her brother, she runs into Leo--her ex-husbands old bodyguard and the man she had an intense affair with--who she also left behind after finding out about his betrayal. Now, they have to work together to find Tanner when Leo is hired by her parents to do so.

Honestly, I could see a lot of people enjoying this book; it just wasn't a hit for me.

I think I just wasn't a fan of the writing style. I didn't like that it's first person-past tense. Present tense is how I like my first person POVs, otherwise I prefer it in third person. Also, I felt like some of the dialogue was awkward--sometimes I thought, "this is not the way people talk."

As far as the romance,,,the spice is WHEW! And Leo is to die for. Spice score is def 4 out of 5...maybe even 4.5. Sometimes the things Leo said made me swoon and wish I had a Leo in my life.

Plot wise, I was really interested in seeing what happens! I appreciated the mystery aspect of it, and was looking forward to how it all unfolded. I wish it took longer for them to put it all together--I think they could have built up the tension and the mystery much more; I wasn't a fan of how Emy just put it together like that. The ending with the parents felt really sudden and I think that space could have been used to make an epic unfolding of the whole story.

This is the third book in a series but it was easy enough to keep up with! Again, wasn't my cup of tea but that's just a conflict in preference of writing style.

Had my attention from page one loved how the author doesn't start it off with the characters already being in love or one of them trying to get the other's attention. They have a backstory of both characters already meeting and then going their separate ways until they need to meet again, When they meet again E is seriously not wanting to be around L ever again because of the betrayal he did to her. She makes him work for her trust and love again which he does very honestly and passionately. I will definitely recommend this book to all my friends on social and off once it comes out in paperback.

A big thank you to NetGalley and EverNight Publishing for the eARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. This is part of a series, #3 but it reads well as a stand alone. This is Leo and Emily's story. Emily has the worst parents-wow. Parts of the story to me, did not make sense. Why did Emily go to Columbia? What was the purpose? Her ex was abusive. This is a romantic suspense with some erotica. 3.5 stars

“Either I could keep acting as though this man still had no effect over me, or I could tell him how I felt.”

Thank you to Net Galley and the publisher for my advanced readers copy of Wickedly Betrayed.
Three years ago, Emily was able to escape an abusive marriage and she has not looked back at those who betrayed her. One of those being her ex-husband’s bodyguard, Leo Cruz, who was also Emily’s lover that she fell in love with. Flash forward to present day, Emily’s brother is missing. Her parents hire none other than Leo to go with her. Will Emily and Leo be able to work out their past or will the truth stay hidden forever?
I LOVED this book. This book was 4/5 stars for me. I enjoyed the romance and the steamy scenes. The plot was also well written, I enjoyed the action in this book. I do feel like the ending dragged on a bit. I didn’t really care for the scenes with her parents. I feel like it didn’t add anything to the story. However, I do like that Emily stood up for herself. I loved the way the people around Emily cared for her. It was comforting and sweet to see who was really there for her when she needed it.
I would recommend this book to those who love a little mystery and action with their romance.

This is the third book in a series. I didn’t know that going in, so I was a little lost at first. Definitely a hot read to keep you warm on those cold early spring nights. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the early read in exchange for my honest opinion.

This advanced review copy of Wickedly Betrayed by A.E. Nalle is the first of hers that I have read so it was truly a blind read when you are not sure of their style, just the synopsis to go off.

Let me tell you, this is a steamy romance. A. E. Nalle, has sizzling scenes a plenty! From the opening chapter, Emily/Em/Emy/Princess is a writer, and we kick off with a hot scene she is trying to write for her book. Three years ago, she escaped an abusive marriage and thought she was betrayed by the only man to have shown her what love is, or so she thought….

Emily is close to her brother, the only member of her family she was close to as they grew up in an unloving toxic house, when he goes missing and she is sent to his last known location to bring him back, the one man she has never been able to forget, Leo is sent on the trip with her and let the tension erupt to levels that can’t be squashed and the truth of what really happened 3 years ago comes out.

Interwoven into all the “sexy times” (which makes up most of the book), is the story of women taking back her life, finding real love, overcoming an abusive background not only from her ex-husband but parents, about second chances with a tough of suspense thrown in as they find themselves in trouble during the search for her brother. Of course, it delivers your happily ever after ending.

This book was an easy read and delivered on what I would normally expect from a book in this category/genre. While this is book 3 in the series, you can read it stand alone.

This was my first time reading this author and I loved it! Emily has definitely not had an easy life and she’s just the kind of heroine I love to see get her HEA. Leo’s betrayal was awful but not everything is as it seems… This was a great second chance romance with some plot twists and great chemistry.

Hot and steamy rescue mission to Columbia - escaping domestic violence and a brutal and selfish family, and uncovering many secrets and truths on a mission to rescue her brother. And yes, with the one man who betrayed her, but did he?
