So excited by this one! I read and loved After Hours on Milagros Street. I bought it on Overdrive for my library where it’s hard high circ numbers. After flying through this preview, I’m sure this next book in the series will be just as good as well as a solid purchase.

“Good women didn’t pick up hot hitchikers, but bad ones…”
Juliana is stressed okay?! So when she’s digging around in the glove box, and nearly hits a man chilling on the side of the road… it’s not *totally her fault, right? And if that guy just so happens to be an ex-lover… well, the only polite thing to do is offer him a ride.

Nikky has been in love with Juliana since forever. He was there to help (winky face) her through all her firsts. And now she’s back asking for his help being bad.

Ooo-la-la Nikky and Juliana have chemistry and the spicy is spicy.
This was an incredibly refreshing dip into finding mid-life love again.

The first five chapters are so exciting. I definitely want to keep reading! I love that Lopez writes complicated heroines, and I trust her to give the heroine good reasons for why she does not want to trust her family with her problems. THe chemistry between the couple is fantastic, and can't wait to see it play out.

I was hooked since chapter one, but thing that got me about the book was the long chapters I loved everything about it but that.

Oh the spice starts rolling early in this one. Gillian is surprising confident for a recently divorced woman.

This was only a 5 chapter preview but I already feel connected to these characters. This left me wanting to know how they will ever reconnect.

The fun thing about this story is that it provides Mexican American representation. The inclusion of common Spanish terms and phrases adds to the authenticity.

This was only a preview for a full-length novel. However, the book provided was a fun, short spicy preview. I'd totally check out the full book when it's available.

Thank you to Angelina M Lopez, Harlequin - Romance, and NetGalley for providing me first 5 Chapters of this book to review.

I absolutely loved After Hours on Milago Street (Check out my review here: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/5593780429) and I have really high hopes for Full Moon Over Freedom as well. Giving it 4/5 stars right now because I just don't feel right giving a book a full 5 stars without having been able to read more than the first 5 Chapters.

I got to say the first 5 Chapters are a beautiful extension of the 1st novel. Almost seamlessly switching over to another Armstead sister story while incorporating all of the vibrant side characters we've come to know and love from the first book. And while Gillian and I still need to become friends... Nicky's stolen my heart already.

Can't wait to get my hands on the whole book (and audiobook!).

Full Moon Over Freedom by Angelina M. Lopez
“He stole my power by being cruel. Don’t you steal it by being nice.”

This was a nice little read about a summer in a small town. Loved the representation, especially with the single mom romance. Let's also talk about the finding of the childhood romance, it was awesome. The spice was awesome.
I enjoyed the use of the cultural myths of Mexican culture, it was great! This was a great quick read. I would like to thank Angelina M. Lopez, Harlequin, and Netgalley for the eARC. Go and preorder today, Full Moon Over Freedom is available 9/5/23!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for Angelina Lopez’s Full Moon Over Freedom. This five chapter preview sucked me right in! I loved Gillian, a strong woman struggling to find her footing after her divorce from a east coast socialite. The heat between Gillian and her long-time friend Nicky is sizzling. I can’t wait to read the full novel when it releases in September 5th!

Thank you to the author, Harlequin, and NetGalley for the e-preview copy in exchange for my review.

I don’t typically go for straight romance, but I’m hooked after the preview chapters and want to read the rest. I liked the writing and loved that both MCs are Mexican American, as well as the inclusion of Mexican culture. The one issue I had was the “twist” with Nicky’s character in chapter 2 – which would have ruined the romance for me; however, the additional information revealed in chapter 5 resolved that.

After meeting Angelina at Apollycon 2023, I had to purchase After Hours on Milagro Street. When I saw the opportunity to preview Full Moon Over Freedom, I was not going to pass it up! The plot and characters pull at your heartstrings and spice up your imagination. Ms. Lopez creates a world that feels so real. I can't wait to read the whole story!

Very engaging preview! I was immediately drawn in by the cover and that Sierra Simone had blurbed it as being unmissable. I really enjoyed After Hours on Milagro Street and can't wait to see how the story continues in Full Moon Over Freedom! Gillian seems like a strong and independent character, who will do anything for her family. I like her already! Looking forward to checking this out when it releases fully. Thank you to Angelina M. Lopez, Harlequin, and Netgalley for a free preview in exchange for honest feedback.

I got the first 5 chapters as a preview of this book and all I can say is holy cow I need more. I thought I would be okay to just read 5 chapters quick and see if I liked it but I’m obsessed and need the rest of the book! Nicky & Gillian’s connection is hard to miss even with the anger Nicky has towards her. The car scene went a little farther than I would have imagined before he said he was engaged so I know there are feelings there! I can’t wait to see how this all ends up and can I say, I LOVE Cynthia’s character! She is so fun. I will be purchasing this book when it comes out so I can read the rest!

It’s only 5 chapters but I’M HOOKED!
Reading about the “stuck up” sister from the first book and how she’ll lose herself and do bad thing in this book has me intrigued! I can’t wait to see where her and Nicky’s story goes!

No rating since it’s only a preview to the story.
