A useful overview of the importance of leadership, told through a survey of both historical examples and literary exemplars. A valuable introduction to serious thinking about the importance of leadership today and the fundamental question of what qualities we care about in our leaders, how we evaluate them, etc. Highly recommend.

I just could not finish this book. While I am very interested in the subject, I could not maintain my focus while reading it. It just did not flow well, nor seem very interesting. I am well aware that this may be my own personal failing, so as to not punish the author with a bad review, I will not be leaving any reviews at my sites. Sorry.
