The relationship between Logan and Coco was so cute! It started of rocky - him accidentally nailing her head with a hockey puck isn't your usual meet-cute, but it got sweeter from there. Even the relationship with Poppy was sweet without being cloying. I wish the ending had been drawn out a little bit more; I feel like we jumped very quickly into conflict then resolved it equally fast and I would've enjoyed seeing more of their relationship growth. Overall, an enjoyable read and I'd for sure pick up the sequel.

loved Fifteen Minutes so I was really looking for Lisa Daily's take on a hockey romance series. Unfortunately this fell flat for me. The elements were all there to make it a good read: figure skating underdog FMC with an awesome BFF/ roommate/boss, a hunky hockey player who has a precocious almost 6-year-old, what could go wrong, amirite?
An editor would have helped a great deal to catch glaring typos, dialogue flow, etc., but nothing could help this instalove with lack of actual obstacles. It was just I daresay dull. Logan was almost too great, Coco was all right but for the absolutely dreadful full given name, Poppy and Marissa were delightful, but the story had no intrigue, no real emotion or heart.
Helena Hunting, Avery Flynn, and so many other authors have set the standard for the hockey romance. I'm hoping the series improves.
I received this advance reader copy from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

I received this as an ARC for free in exchange for an honest review.
I really really really wanted to like this book. But the grammatical errors and repetitiveness of some of the lines really dragged this book down. There were some sentences that were incomprehensible because it looked like she started a sentence, then changed the wording by starting again but never deleted the first try. This book had horrible editing, which is a shame because it had so much potential.
This was a very insta-love story, which typically aren't my thing. The jokes were painful at times.
The first intimate scene was closed door, the next was meh. Most of this love story happened during a 2 week hospital stay and then the last 40% happened lightening fast over a months long span. The pacing was off, if the book was longer I think it would have translated better.
Even with all of these flaws, I still found this to be a fun read, and honestly will probably pick up the next one in the series because I am nosy and need to know how Cam gets his girl.

This is the first hockey romance I've ever read and I really enjoyed this!! I just wish it wasn't a slow burn romance (I am personally not a fan of those but if you are this is the book for you!) I definitely recommend reading this book for all my hockey romance fans out there!

This needs a lot of editing. Like a lot more than a normal ARC. Not a lot of tension, I know rom coms are known for being unaware but man this one is just unrealistic. Had to DNF it just needs too much editing

Perfect for fans of Icebreaker! Thought it was well done figure skating / hockey player trope. Congrats to the author on release!

This book was not my favorite. It was very hard to get through all of the repetitive writing. The storyline was lacking and most of the book was focused on a single scene. I liked Logan's character but the chemistry was lacking between the two MCs.

This book is a fun meet-cute light romance that offers a lot of fun moments. It's about two people who feel like they've hit some major slumps in their lives and are coming to grips with maybe not being at the top of their sport any more. The part I found hard to understand about all of this is how Logans daughter fit into the book to be honest. She's a great character that they could have fleshed out a bit more or explored the circumstances around her more and how it changed Logan. She sort of disappears in the middle of the story and reappears at the end and I wished she'd been woven into the whole of the novel. Overall I enjoyed the book though and will definitely want to read the next!

This book was a nice little hockey romance. Honestly I thought it was just okay. A little cliche and boring at times, but you couldn’t help root for the main characters. I thought it was anticlimactic that most of the book (and the love story) took place in a hospital. I didn’t like the characteristics on the MMC trying to buy the FMC’s affection and I thought the ending was a little sudden and rushed, but like I said, overall the main characters won you over and the book was solid. Solid 3/5. Thank you NetGalley for this advanced copy!

A cute, cheesy, and easy to read novel that will have you wondering where the time went. If you like sports romance, instalove, guy falls first, and single dad tropes then this may be a book you want to check out. While the term "puck bunny" was a bit overused, it doesn't detract from Coco and Logan's love story. Yet, the most endearing relationship undoubtedly belongs to Poppy and Logan. Their charming dynamic truly steals the spotlight. Overall, if you're a fan of heartwarming stories with a mix of romance and family dynamics, this novel could be an enjoyable read for you.
Thank you to NetGalley, Siesta Key and Lisa Daily for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.

This hockey romance was so cute! I loved the cover to start. Then, the banter and lol moments had me swooning. I enjoy hockey so much so this one was a real treat! B

A sweet, if sometimes a little directionless rom-com with likeable characters. I really enjoyed the tension building between Coco and Logan, and their relationship was very sweet. It felt as though some of the conflicts were resolved a little too easily, but the genuinely sweet relationship between the characters makes up for it.

Unfortunately DNF at 20%. I tried very hard to read past the repetitiveness’s of this book but I just couldn’t do it, the story and characters had a lot of promise but the constant repeat of sentences and thoughts was just too much. I would find the same things repeated 2 or 3 in one page and just couldn’t deal with it.

This book was a nice romance between Logan , who plays hockey and Coco who doesn't artistic ice-skating. It's a sport romance, with a bit of lies. It's quite funny and a bit steamy. It was a good entertainment but I don't know, I guess I was expecting more. I don't really know what or why. But definitely a good book.

I really tried to like this but I struggle a bit! I think the pacing wasn’t exactly for me and wasn’t great but I do love the premise of the Ice Skating teacher x Hockey Star trope and I did like the characters themselves, there was just something that didn’t exactly hit and sometimes the paragraphs and sentences were hard to follow.

This book had me laughing out loud, while simultaneously fanning myself as I blushed wildly. Fans of Meghan Quinn will love the banter, and fans of Hannah Grace will ADORE the spice in this book, the definitely had me reaching for a glass of ice water…
I can’t wait to read the rest of this series!

I received an advanced copy of this for my honest review.
I tried really hard to like this book, but I just couldn't. I ended up DNF a little over half way through. A few reasons were the writing just wasn't my favorite and a few of the tropes turned out to be triggering for me.

4.5 stars. Looking up this book and saw that fans of Pippa Grant, Meghan Quinn, Hannah Grace, Helena Hunting would like this book and I was sold. Then I read it, and I was double sold! Pippa, Meghan, Hannah and Helena are 4 of my top favorite authors and I loved this book! I laughed out loud so many times I lost count. As a person who reads 450+ books a year, I can often predict in a book what the surprise or secret will end up being. This book had me laughing and salivating for so long, I forgot to even think about that until the author started dropping breadcrumbs!
I loved the meet cute, Logan beaming her with a slapshot? Hilarious.
Dad jokes? Hysterical.
Hospital turkey sandwich? Dead.
My only disappointment is that when a book's tag line includes 'steamy' I do expect more than 1 good steamy scene, but it was a good one so forgiven. I will certainly read more books by Lisa Daily and am most definitely looking forward to the next book in this series, Cold Feet.

This book felt both too slow and too fast. It took until more than halfway through the book to get to the main "lucky charm for hire" plot and then once the plot was established, the rest of the book felt extremely rushed.
It was a fun and quick read and I was really cheering for the characters, but the pacing really threw me off.

Thank you NetGalley for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
~ single dad
~ hockey player/ Olympic figure skater (she’s only ever on the ice 2x)
~ he falls first and hard
~ sports romance
~ insta love
The characters were likable. The story was a light easy read, but I disliked the third act conflict.
Coco is in the hospital for most of the book for a series of unfortunate events that occurred due to Logan, but also her since i would assume a pro skater would know to stay off a closed rinks ice. While in the hospital Logan woos her by being his large golden retriever self and by spoiling her with gifts and services while she’s in the hospital.
I know he’s a single dad but the kiddie is hardly mentioned or shown except during the major bits and I definitely think she deserved more book time since she was adorable and the reason the two knew each other.
Third act conflict seemed so wild, hiring her as a good luck charm and when she finds out the truth about her employment she cuts him out even though she was okay with keeping it a secret at the beginning but got mad when the roles switched.
