LEADERSHIP STARTS WITH YOU by Whitney Breer is one of my favorite types of business resources: expertise wrapped in a relatable, enjoyable story. While the concepts and perspectives felt oriented to a person with little business experience, the story is a convincing and enjoyable reminder of the fundamentals of how leadership works, feels, and operates in an ever-changing, dynamic world. I felt like I'd lived many of the events, thoughts, and moments with Kathleen -- and as if she were a colleague I knew very well. While at times, the prose dragged a bit and the examples felt heavy-handed, overall the spirit and the energy of the story carried me through. I received a copy of this book and these opinions are my own, unbiased thoughts.

I love leadership books that are clear and practical, and this book delivers. I would say that it is probably more oriented toward someone who is new in a leadership role, or aspires to be.
