I had high hopes for this book but my mind honestly felt more cluttered reading it. There is so much talk and it’s stuff many of us know. The two weeks weren’t really anything I didn’t already do, but it might be helpful for someone new to mindfulness and meditation.

An absolutely beautiful book to read if you are new to meditation or need a refresher. You will need to dedicate more time than usual when it comes to reading this book, but if you have the motivation to get started, you will not be disappointed!

A wonderful book. Highly recommended. You will enjoy reading it. Written in a very engaging prose. Nowhere would you feel being stuck or bored. Pick it up if you get a chance. Thanks to the author for a review copy.

This book wasn't for me, sadly. First, it's basically more for beginners or people who have never had touching points with the concept of mindfulness and detox before. Second, I think this would have worked better as an audio book? Or even a podcast?

Unfortunately, this book was not for me. As someone who has long been into meditation and the benefits of clearing your mind there was nothing really new that I haven’t tried in this book. But it would be suitable for others just beginning on their journey.

In order to get the most out of this book, you need to have, not only the time, but also the patience for the suggested activities. I, however, did not have that much time to execute the tasks and therefore, did not benefit much from this.

In hindsight, I should’ve picked up this book when I had a bit more time to spare.

Would definitely recommend to people who have the time to dive deep into the practices and therefore, get the most out of it.

I really liked the way this is broken down day by day for two weeks. You add a new step every day building up. It felt very easy and not overwhelming.

I enjoyed this 14 day mind cleanse book! I took the 14 days to read it and added the practice to my daily routine and it was very eye opening for me. As someone who does journaling/yoga/cold tub daily it was good to work on the actual brain side and my thinking!

I found this book very good at clearly getting across the technicalities of what happens in the brain in short, simple and easy to understand paragraphs that don't overwhelm the reader with a lot of information in one go.

Every daily task that was assigned added on to the one before, making it easy to keep track of where you should be in your mind cleanse. However, I do feel that one day for each new task was not enough time to fully embed the ideas into your brain and maybe a week per idea would be more sufficient.
I also feel that it should maybe be called the 7 Day Mind Cleanse as the second week was just repeating the first week with an added questionnaire at the end of each day.

Overall though, it was an enjoyable read which gave me a few new tidbits to try here and there in my daily life and it will be great to refer back to in times of need.

Interesting book indeed. Full of practical advice and a plan that, if followed, will benefit you.
This is the type of book I will definitely be gifting to family and friends.

An exploration of different techniques to cleanse your mind including meditation, power hour and journalling. This was a pretty but basic book, more suitable as a physical copy. This would serve as a good reminder. Gave me a couple of takeaways.

Great starting point and only 14 days

This book is a great companion with your morning coffee. "The 14 Day Mind Cleanse" by Jacqui Lewis covered topics I already felt familiar with, but was also an excellent reminder because although the ideas didn't feel new, I definitely needed motivation to get back to creating good habits! This book is a fantastic way to introduce self-care and mindfulness to those who are looking for ideas that will help them start creating healthy habits and start paying attention to the ways in which they are spending their time and how that affects their mental health. I loved the format and feel like breaking this down into 14 days makes the consumption of this information less overwhelming. The journal prompts at the end are helpful in allowing the reader to digest the information and write down key takeaways they don't want to forget.

This was very basic. It wasn’t too involved, but was an easy beginner read into clearing your mind and trying to work through things that may be bugging you. Honestly it was one of those books that I completely forgot everything about once I was finished with it, which I guess tells you everything you need to know about how I felt about it.

A toolkit for dismantling the overload of our digital world! The book is designed for readers to embrace a personalized morning ritual, eliminate multitasking, create designated time for themselves, and learn to achieve more by doing less. The focus is on positive thinking and finding joy in everyday experiences, fostering a sense of happiness and contentment. I found it to be easy to follow along and very straightforward. Also, the DESIGN!!! was so cute!!

I enjoyed how simple yet effective these suggestions were, especially her tips on mediation, reducing screen time, and slowing down to embrace the present moment. I also loved the array of colors and quotes she shared in this book, I thought it resonated and added a special touch to each introduction. There’s also a section towards the end that asks interactive questions and encourages you to write down and reflect on your 14 day cleanse.

If you’re looking for a simple guide to follow when it comes to reducing anxiety, stress, and mental clutter, I highly recommend The 14 Day Mind Cleanse. Thank you to NetGalley and Quarto Publishing Group – Chartwell Books for this advanced reading copy (eARC) in exchange for my honest review.

I thought this would be interesting to pick up as I have recently started doing a bit of a mind cleanse on my own and was hoping this could help supplement that journey. I did find certain tidbits useful but overall I had already been following a pretty similar set of routines/ habits for myself before reading. It was interesting and definitely would have been really helpful for me at another point in time. Not to say it wasn’t helpful now, it just could’ve had more impact at different points in my life. I definitely would recommend this to people who I feel need the extra guidance on a mind detox journey. I did enjoy this, I just don’t think I read it at the right point in my life.

Great Way To Improve You Live

The author discusses the objectives of this book stating that providing a step-by-step program to reset your mind. The book is, basically, presented in a two week program.
• Week One involves learning one new building-block technique each day, starting with a beginners’ meditation, and adding each new building block to your daily routine.
• Week Two is a deep mind cleanse, using all seven techniques every day plus journalling.

The author provides the following list of some of the things readers will be working on:
• Cleansing your mind with a daily meditation practice
• Setting the stage for better, deeper sleep with an hour of powering down before bed
• Learning to stop multi-tasking and be more mindful
• Starting your day with a personalized morning ritual
• Banishing ‘busy’ by prioritizing tasks and reframing your language
• Curating and improving what you feed your mind
• Increasing your happiness by ‘joy-riding’

This is a great 14 day mind cleanse book. It would work well when doing a spiritual fast. Highly recommend.

This book is helpful in times as these, when you want to take a break from the clutter of the world and be in tune with yourself. The format of the book is simple, clean and the author's writing is concise-which overall made this such a wonderful reading and learning experience. I've been doing a social media detox for two hours every day and in turn I have more time to write and read books.
Thanks Netgalley for the eARC.

I would say this would rather work better as a podcast. The book is good for beginners who wants a short self help book on mind “cleansing”. The writing is quite simple and has simple steps for the reader to follow.

However, when I pick up a book for practical reasons, I feel it would be a better option if the chapters are presented as pointers or in short paragraphs even if there are lesser words and short sentences all put together.

I feel the book can be edited again and be more beginner level friendly. There’s a lot of room for the chapters to become more attention seeking and attractive.

Also, most readers tend to pick up/follow nonfiction/self help books if the main content has more easily digestible flowcharts/pointers/prompts for action for every point/concept explained.

Thank you, Chartwell Books/Quarto Publishing Group, for the advance reading copy.

This book's cute cover and title definitely caught my attention. But the content was quite standard and is perhaps not as revolutionary as I would've liked. The premise of carrying out daily rituals and then having a further week to carry them out is great but I did not find them practical.  Unfortunately, I didn't find this book enjoyable and I do not think I learnt much from it. It may work for others and I liked the quotes inside the book.
