Each book TJ Klune writes in Green Creek series makes me fall more and more in love with his characters and writing style, I enjoy the representation he has in each book. So happy to have received this arc
I loved the first two books of this series & once again I enjoyed another. This one centered around different characters & I was so happy to get a glimpse into a different set of mates. The rich storytelling in this series really brings the romance and background alive. Can’t wait to continue in the journey

Oh my GOD reading this book was quite a trip. The first quarter, I was trying to figure out where we were in time, then it was what has happened to Robbie? I kinda love that none of the stories in this series are actually written from the Bennett brothers' points of view.
Robbie, of course, is Kelly's mate, and someone we were introduced to about half way through the first novel in the series. I will say that, unlike the previous two books, we don't go way back into the past and then regurgitate the same events from his PoV like we do in the first two.
And that, that alone almost, makes this a five star book.
The rest of what makes it a five star is just how strong the narration is from Robbie's PoV. He's such an interesting character, and seeing him put into the situations he's placed into in this novel only gets to show that off to the highest extreme.
I don't think I've ever seen an amnesia story so well done but, because of the lore behind these books, it doesn't actually feel like amnesia so much as a mystery that the reader is eager to solve all the way up to the end.
As usual, the action points of this story were second only to the actual romance between Robbie and Kelly. I loved seeing how much Kelly was yearning for Robbie since, again in the previous two, it had been Robbie who was largely yearning and Kelly was oblivious. The reason for that ends up being actually explained in this and we have our first openly asexual character in Kelly. It's amazingly well done given that sex has already been established as being part of the lore of the mating process between werewolves.
Now we have a two way tie between this and the original novel in the series for which one was my favourite.

I'm not sure I can properly give this one the justice it deserves. Per usual, T.J. Klune is a master at creating the most tender story of family, both blood and found, that hits the heart (and emotions) like a freight train. Like the first two in the series, I enjoyed every second I got to spend with the Bennett pack. Heartsong is fast paced, emotional, both heartbreaking and heartwarming, and as an added the bonus, the banter is the absolute best!
Many thanks to NetGalley for the ARC of this one. I'll be eagerly anticipating the release of Brothersong next year!

TJ Klune does it yet again. The characters and the world are hard not to love when they are so perfectly described for the reader. After reading this book, this has quickly become my favorite of the Green Creek Series! I would highly recommend this book.

I loved House of the Cerulean Sea and I love this cover.
I am learning that fantasy romance isn't for me, and booktok needs to stop stuffing it down my throat. I keep giving it chances, when I shouldn't.

The Green Creek series is the special werewolf series you didn’t know you’ve been missing!
Robbie has always wanted a home, a pack. And we all thought that the Bennetts were it for him. So why is he working with Michelle Hughes and her witch, Ezra, and why does he think that the Bennetts are the enemy? When Robbie realizes that some of his days are missing, and starts to feel that maybe all is not as it seems, he follows his instincts to get away and finds himself in Green Creek where he doesn’t remember the pack that he used to love.
This might be may favorite of the Green Creek series (and Klune’s writing) so far! The concept is original, the plot well paced, and the characters unique. I felt so much for Robbie, Kelly, and the whole Bennett pack while reading Heartsong! Can’t wait to read Brothersong next.
Special thanks to Tor Publishing Group and NetGalley for providing an ARC of this novel!

TJ Klune does it again. Amazing at creating characters and worlds that you care about. I didn't read the other books in this series and that would make this book a lot better I am sure. But overall, this is a great book! I'm going back to read the other books in this series.

I liked this one less then the others, but it was still very good. I think I just like the focus to be more on Ox as a character. Overall, a very enjoyable read.

This is my first time reading TJ Klune and I was hooked by Heartsong right from the start. The narrative voice is really strong with a fantastic use of poetic repetition. I connected to the characters and their stakes really well. Now, the squishy middle did get a little squishy and "beat the dead horse" overmuch, but there's so much good here in the way pack, family, and self are defined. The way memory is used as a principle and springboard. All the secondary characters shone and felt important and again that sense of familiarity of family in-joking and teasing rang true. Finally, there was a weave of humor that ran through the book that appealed to me.
I think readers of fantasy, folklore, LGBTQI romance, and those who shapeshift will howl for this one. It was a pleasure to read.

This series makes me ugly cry and also makes my heart insanely happy.
This book is about Robbie and Kelly. Robbie is just the absolute sweetest and one of my all time favorite characters. He’s struggling to find where he belongs and his home. What he goes through in this book is painful. Reading about Kelly and his feelings was painful. Their relationship is beautiful and heartbreaking in equal measures.
It’s hard to say more without giving spoilers.
This entire series is a must read!

I’m so in love with this series! I can’t put it down. Heart song was a surprise for me, when I figured out Robbie had lost his memory I was beyond shocked. It broke my heart that he couldn’t remember anyone or anything from his past. I’m so excited for the next book!

T.J. Klune creates immersive worlds that make you feel all the emotions. This book was no exception. I was a bit perplexed in the initial few chapters, albeit not in a bad way. T.J. Klune spins you on your head, then steadies you and sets you off. The story gives you adventure, villains, romance, and plenty of scenes that have you whipping through the pages. I smiled, laughed, cried and couldn’t put it down. The author did a wonderful job capturing Kelly’s pure kindness and developing Robbie’s loveable character, and made me crave a deeper exploration of Robbie’s history and more romantic moments between Robbie and Kelly as they were so sweet together. Without giving away any spoilers, the ending was unexpected and made me want to scream! I love that this book includes representation and that the story feels enveloped in the themes of unified family and finding home.
Thank you NetGalley and Tor Publishing Group!

This book had all of the things I've come to love from a T.J. Klune book. Found family, loveable characters and an overall heartwarming vibe, but this book was also so heartbreaking. It felt really different from the rest of the books in this series but in a great way. I thought I knew where this story was going and I thought it was following the same format as the previous book in the series but I was pleasantly surprised when I was wrong.
This book makes you feel safe and warm and happy even when it's ripping your heart out and making you sob. But then two paragraphs later you'll be laughing at something Chris, Tanner or Rico say or giggling and kicking your feet at Kelly and Robbie's relationship. Robbie has always been my favourite character and I loved reading the story from his point of view and seeing how he views the Bennet's and his role in their pack. He feels like a big teddy bear and his goofiness and positivity make him so endearing.
This was one of those books that I wanted to sit and devour in one sitting but I had to force myself to savour it and make it last.

I received an eARC of this book from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
Once again, Klune delivers a book that's impossible to put down. Somehow each book is better than the last, even though I gave the previous one a perfect rating and it focused on my favorite character of the series. Klune's words are magnetizing, lyrical, intense. He has a way of repeating phrases at critical times to the point that when they happen, you feel the weight of all the previous moments in the current one.
As the book unfolds, there's a growing ache that tears you apart from the inside. It's so, so blue with flashes of green relief hidden away in memories. The characters you've come to know and love from the first two books are shown here through a fractured mirror, the events between the last book and this one slowly becoming clearer in haunting retrospective. The addition of this narrative and tonal layer, the prolonged distancing from the beloved pack found family dynamics, is a smart choice on Klune's part because it forces you to look at things from a different angle, refreshing the series and making you fall in love with the characters all over again.
The emotional experience of reading this book is turned up to the max then multiplied by two with no compromise on the intensity. It's a constant alternating between joy and laughter from the relationships or heart-in-the-throat tension from the action. This may sound exhausting but it's executed so perfectly that it's exhilarating instead. You feel like you're in Robbie's shoes, experiencing things exactly as he experiences them, and even experiencing what other characters feel and think just as closely because Klune is that good at showing how perceptive Robbie is.
The dialogue is so sharp, whether to make you laugh out loud (Rico's commentary is especially entertaining) or to make you literally gasp at the hurt conveyed or to make you cry from the pure beauty of the love between the pack. The book is long, but there are no wasted words, no extraneous exposition. I never wanted it to end.
This book is ostensibly about a werewolf finding his home and a wolf pack fighting against the forces that want to destroy them. At its core, however, it's about love, no one type overshadowing another: romantic love persevering despite all odds and falling in love twice over; familial love bonds fighting for each other even after mistakes are made; the importance of pack love in standing together or falling apart alone; the limits and conflicts of different types of love and the effort required to make them work; and the contrast of all these with the taint of manipulative love. It may sound trite, but the author shows rather than tells in such a way that the themes connect with the reader on the deepest levels imaginable. The core of this book sings to the core of the reader.
Klune masterfully sets up future plot points and dynamics long before they happen, making the conclusion of those arcs all the more satisfying. His setup for this book started in the first one and for the next book started in the previous one. I'm dying to continue.
You might like this if you like: the Aud Torvingen series by Nicola Griffith; the San Andreas Shifters series by G.L. Carriger

I have loved every other T.J Klune book I have read so I had HIGH hopes for this book and I was not disappointed. Despite the length, this book felt like it flew by. I could not get enough of the characters. Klune writes relationships (romantic and otherwise) like no other. You will cry and laugh and love along with them. So. Good. Every. Time.

Klune out to break my heart yet again.
Robbie has been a character I have been so enthralled with. And this story wrecked me. I sobbed for a majority of it. And I'm so terrified for Brothersong. I know that book will destroy me even more.
Keep it up Klune I always need a good cry.

Heartsong is the third installment of the Green Creek series. Wolfsong & Ravensong (books 1 & 2) would need to be completed prior to reading Heartsong. The events in this book are following up on the story we learned already. Without the prior knowledge of the Bennett Pack, you would not be able to grasp and understand the event in Heartsong truly.
Heartsong might have been the best (yet) in the series. The story follows Robbie Fontaine and his journey with Michelle Hughes. The great thing about Heartsong is that the story breaks the rules of the series. Are we in the future, or are we in the past?
As the story progresses, Robbie must question everything he knows about Bennetts, Michelle Hughes & Ezra, and the fate of all werewolves. He will be tested and his mind strained as he has to uncover the truth about who he is and who everyone else is to him.
If you have read Wolfsong, I would HIGHLY recommend continuing the series, it only gets better. You will fall in love with the whole Bennett pack, over and over again.
PackPackPack,

Heartsong by T.J. Klune, published by Tor Publishing, is the third book in the Green Creek Series.
This is Robbie and Kelly's story.
A poetic read, drama laden, action packed, a story that gives all the feels. A wonderful pnr read. I recommend to read the books in orders. The previous books are Wolfsong and Ravensong.

This book follows Robbie's story.
Admittedly I was already a fan of the previous books so I wanted to see where this one went.
It is an incredibly touching story of found family, loyalty, and unending unconditional love.
The way TJ Klune writes is exquisite. I'm left thinking of these stories long after I've finished the book. Thank you TJ klune and Netgallery for allowing me access to this book.

I was SO excited to get my hands on this book. This is Robbie Fontaine’s story.
The book started off very unsettling and off. I think that was intentional and speaks true to the Klune’s ability to get the reader in the mindset of the character. It was jarring because I wasn’t sure what time we were in- the past or the present initially.
We then follow Robbie from the compound in Maine and his return to Green Creek. We get some of the past history of him and Kelly, along with seeing how their relationship evolves in the present. We also slowly begin to learn what happened after the Green Creek showdown with Elijah. This time the pack is continuing their fight with Michelle Hughes and Robert Livingstone.
I adored learning more about Robbie and especially Kelly. I think I found the book so unsettling initially and I wanted a little bit more of Ox that it made me give it a 4 instead of 5 stars.
Thank you to NetGalley, Tor, and TJ Klune for an e-ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
