Description

Heartsong is the third book in the Green Creek Series, the beloved fantasy romance sensation by New York Times bestselling author TJ Klune, about love, loyalty, betrayal, and family.

Complex and startling... Green Creek is the perfect setting.” —Charlaine Harris

The Bennett family has a secret: They're not just a family, they're a pack. Heartsong is Robbie Fontaine's story.

All Robbie Fontaine ever wanted was a place to belong. After the death of his mother, he has bounced around from pack to pack, forming temporary bonds to keep from turning feral.

It’s enough—until he receives a summons from the wolf stronghold in Caswell, Maine. Life as the trusted second to Michelle Hughes—the Alpha of all—and the cherished friend of a gentle old witch teaches Robbie what it means to be pack, to have a home. But when a mission from Michelle sends Robbie into the field, he finds himself questioning where he belongs and everything he’s been told.

Whispers of traitorous wolves and wild magic abound—but who are the traitors and who the betrayed? More than anything, Robbie hungers for answers, because one of those alleged traitors is Kelly Bennett, the wolf who may be his mate.

The truth has a way of coming out. And when it does, Robbie will learn that packs and homes can disappear in an instant.

The Green Creek Series is for adult readers.

This is my official petition to join the Bennett wolf pack! 🙋‍♂️🙋‍♂️

I love the Green Creek series so so much. Each book is better than the last, and I honestly don’t want it to end. This book focuses on Kelly and Robbie. When Robbie’s memory is taken from him, he has to learn to love again. The love these characters have for each other is so genuine, and I rooted for them through out.

This book will make you laugh, cry, smile, and then laugh and cry again. TJ Klune is a master storyteller and has quickly become my favorite author.

If you are looking for an m/m fantasy and haven’t checked this one out, you should seriously run to the nearest book store! 🏃

Once again this series grabs my heart and never lets go.
The sense of family and fighting for what you love is woven into these pages with humor and real laugh out loud moments.
I was brought to tears in more than a few places and the whole time the book just continued to hug me.
I never want this series to end. I want to always be with my pack....pack...pack...pack. 💞

Thank you, Netgalley, for the copy!

TJ Klune is fast tracking his way to becoming one of my favorite authors. I really enjoyed this book that focuses on Robbie and Kelly. He has a profound way to zap characters right into my heart. I loved the dynamic of their relationship change from the other books and get some questions answered in regards to that. I would definitely recommend!!

Thank you Tor and Netgalley for the arc in exchange for my honest review.

I'm not sure I can properly give this one the justice it deserves. Per usual, T.J. Klune is a master at creating the most tender story of family, both blood and found, that hits the heart (and emotions) like a freight train. Like the first two in the series, I enjoyed every second I got to spend with the Bennett pack. Heartsong is fast paced, emotional, both heartbreaking and heartwarming, and as an added the bonus, the banter is the absolute best!

Many thanks to NetGalley for the ARC of this one. I'll be eagerly anticipating the release of Brothersong next year!

TJ Klune does it yet again. The characters and the world are hard not to love when they are so perfectly described for the reader. After reading this book, this has quickly become my favorite of the Green Creek Series! I would highly recommend this book.

Oh my GOD reading this book was quite a trip. The first quarter, I was trying to figure out where we were in time, then it was what has happened to Robbie? I kinda love that none of the stories in this series are actually written from the Bennett brothers' points of view.

Robbie, of course, is Kelly's mate, and someone we were introduced to about half way through the first novel in the series. I will say that, unlike the previous two books, we don't go way back into the past and then regurgitate the same events from his PoV like we do in the first two.

And that, that alone almost, makes this a five star book.

The rest of what makes it a five star is just how strong the narration is from Robbie's PoV. He's such an interesting character, and seeing him put into the situations he's placed into in this novel only gets to show that off to the highest extreme.

I don't think I've ever seen an amnesia story so well done but, because of the lore behind these books, it doesn't actually feel like amnesia so much as a mystery that the reader is eager to solve all the way up to the end.

As usual, the action points of this story were second only to the actual romance between Robbie and Kelly. I loved seeing how much Kelly was yearning for Robbie since, again in the previous two, it had been Robbie who was largely yearning and Kelly was oblivious. The reason for that ends up being actually explained in this and we have our first openly asexual character in Kelly. It's amazingly well done given that sex has already been established as being part of the lore of the mating process between werewolves.

Now we have a two way tie between this and the original novel in the series for which one was my favourite.

This series makes me ugly cry and also makes my heart insanely happy.

This book is about Robbie and Kelly. Robbie is just the absolute sweetest and one of my all time favorite characters. He’s struggling to find where he belongs and his home. What he goes through in this book is painful. Reading about Kelly and his feelings was painful. Their relationship is beautiful and heartbreaking in equal measures.
It’s hard to say more without giving spoilers.

This entire series is a must read!

This book had all of the things I've come to love from a T.J. Klune book. Found family, loveable characters and an overall heartwarming vibe, but this book was also so heartbreaking. It felt really different from the rest of the books in this series but in a great way. I thought I knew where this story was going and I thought it was following the same format as the previous book in the series but I was pleasantly surprised when I was wrong.

This book makes you feel safe and warm and happy even when it's ripping your heart out and making you sob. But then two paragraphs later you'll be laughing at something Chris, Tanner or Rico say or giggling and kicking your feet at Kelly and Robbie's relationship. Robbie has always been my favourite character and I loved reading the story from his point of view and seeing how he views the Bennet's and his role in their pack. He feels like a big teddy bear and his goofiness and positivity make him so endearing.

This was one of those books that I wanted to sit and devour in one sitting but I had to force myself to savour it and make it last.

TJ Klune stands as one of my favorite authors! When my request to review this book was accepted, I couldn't believe my luck. Excitement overwhelmed me, and I even danced in joy!

TJ Klune not only met but exceeded my expectations with this book & series, crafting an incredible and vivid world. "Heartsong" proved impossible to set aside once I began reading – real life took a back seat. Klune's words held me captive, infusing meaning into every sentence, weaving a compelling tale of a lost wolf finding his way home.

A heartfelt thank you! Kudos to Netgalley and Tor Publishing Group.

Can we just give this pack a little bit of happiness? 😭

I love Kelly & Robbie with my whole entire heart 🥺🥰

This series has given me the biggest serotonin boost while having me sobbing my eyes out and Heartsong is the most heartbreaking of them all!

As someone that’s asexual, having rep like Kelly’s makes me so happy!

Just loved this book so so much!!

TJ Klune can do no wrong! This was an emotional rollercoaster that has son much heart which is what we come to expect from Klune writing. It was slower pace than the ones previous but it’s worth the read. The Bennett pack is so special and I can’t wait for more.

This series is something so incredibly special, that it’s daunting thinking that I need to write a review for it.

This book had me feeling so many emotions I didn’t know I could feel. TJ Klune absolutely obliterated my heart and managed to put it back together. TJ is a master at emotional manipulation (in a fantastic way) through his writing and I can’t fathom the fact that I felt everything that I felt.

This book was incredible in every single aspect possible and TJ Klune has officially become an auto-buy author for me. The writing is stunning and so lyrical… I don’t know how he does it honestly. I absolutely loved this story and will be reaching for many of his books going forward.

This book was another amazing installment in this series. I loved learning more about Kelly and Robbie. And the way it starts, it makes you really wonder what's going on and it allows you to discover things as it's happening. Also, learning more about Kelly is amazing, as he's been kind of left in the background so far. I love the development of Carter and learning more about the timber wolf. Also, it's filled with hilarious moments and heartfelt moments in equal measures. Truly such a joy to read. TJ Klune is a master and we're all so lucky he chooses to write books so that we can live in his worlds and experience the happiness in them.
