Each page includes a musical note that the reader can press for music to accompany them on their journey. The illustrations are stunning. This is a must-have for any children’s library and would make a wonderful gift.

This was such a fun picture book! The interactive music feature will be a nice touch as well. The illustrations are beautiful and the information is perfect for children wanting to learn more about the planets!

The Story Orchestra never disappoints, and The Planets is no different. With beautiful illustrations and an engaging narrative, this instalment is definitely going to keep readers/listeners interested.

I absolutely love this book and can't WAIT for the physical copy! As with all titles in this series, the illustrations are phenomenal and the amount of information about space is perfect for the target audience. Will definitely be purchasing this book when available!

This was a great book! I loved the illustrations. The copy I received did not have any music that is supposed to accompany this book, but I can imagine it being a great experience. It's a great book for introducing the solar system with classical music. I think I might even consider it for a story time for some older kids.

The illustrations in this book - just wow! There's so much to see & explore in the imagery alone. It's so bright, colourful & engaging. I also love how this book is interactive & has little songs for each page to follow the story along with, so fun!

I read this with my six year old son who just so happens to have a brand new space bedroom. This book was fantastic for him. He's so interested in space and all the planets. As soon as we finished he wanted it read again!

Oh. My. Gosh. My family LOVES the Story Orchestra series. Our favorites go back and forth between the Four Seasons and the Carnival of the Animals, but we love them all. I was so delighted to see an ARC of this forthcoming one based on music I wasn't familiar with, but subject matter that my kids are going to LOVE - the Planets. The ARC was a digital PDF and so it included the pages but of course not the embedded sound. The illustrations and narrative are beautiful and engaging like the other installments in the series, and I cannot wait to get my hands on the real thing.

First off thanks to netgalley for this advanced readers copy. This review is unbiased. I was unaware of this series before reading this book. I enjoyed the actual story. And I love that it is connected to the work of music which in this book is “the planets” by Holst. I love that in the “real book” readers can press on the music notes and hear the relevant part of “the planets” but since this was an ebook I couldn’t which is a bit disappointing. The book doesn’t workas well as an ebook, so if you purchase this book I would suggest buying a physical copy. The good thing is there is a page in the book which tells you the name of each piece and also notes about the piece. I am impressed by the notes about the piece. I think this book and likely others in the series are a wonderful way to introduce youngsters to classical music. I also learned in their brief bio about Holst that he had nerve pain. I didn’t know this . Not sure if it’s my internet not downloading properly, but in my review copy the first page which I believe is the cover is completely blank.
