Jen Devon delivers again with a beautifully cinematic romance. Her stories are so easy to sink into and get lost in. And then on top of that, this story came with a giant dollop of pinning and it was always you but not the right time. So much growing as a person and together. It’s so nice to find an author you can trust to write a satisfying ever after.

Thank you to the publisher for providing me with an advanced copy of this book. Unfortunately, I decided that this wasn’t the right fit for me and decided not to continue with this book. I sincerely appreciate the opportunity to read this title!

This books was sweet. It made me wish I had read the first one first as I love interconnected stand alones. You could feel the chemistry and tension right away and I loved it. As far as a second chance romance goes, this was well done.

This is an emotional second chance romance. Our main characters were featured, In Bend Towards the Sun, and I wish I read it prior to get more backstory. This was a slow burn that ultimately worked for me and I would like to read the backlog of this author.

Jen Devon's "Right Where We Left Us" is a fantastic second-chance romance that's packed with chemistry and heart.

It's the story of Temperance (TJ) and Duncan, who had a secret summer love at eighteen that never quite worked out. Now, a wedding at Duncan's family vineyard forces them back together, making them confront their past and their undeniable connection.

Devon's writing is beautiful, pulling you right into their angsty, slow-burn romance. Despite some classic rom-com miscommunication, the tension is amazing, and the payoff is super satisfying. The Brady family, as a supporting cast, adds so much warmth and humor.

Basically, if you love a passionate, emotional romance about growing up and fighting for a love that's clearly meant to be, this one's for you. You'll be totally smitten!

Overall: 3.75
This is a beautifully messy second chance romance that hits you right in the feels. The characters are raw and real, and their chemistry is off the charts. If you love emotional slow burns with depth and heart, this one’s must read.

Jen Devon does it again!

This book picks up right where BEND TOWARD THE SUN left off, which I absolutely love! It was one of my favorites last year. I was excited to immerse myself in the Brady family yet again. RIGHT WHERE WE LEFT US is full of angst and pining, and the only thing that brought it down from a 5-star rating was their miscommunication. TJ (Temperance) and Duncan had me so freaking frustrated at times, but then I was still rooting for them and loved their interactions. Highly recommend this sweet second chance roller coaster!

I’ve heard fantastic things about Jen Devon’s writing, and after reading this, I understand the hype. She has a truly beautiful way with words that tugs at your emotions. Her style worked perfectly for this angsty second-chance romance. This book is filled with chemistry and the sweetest found family. Temperance and Duncan had the sweetest story and after so many years of the timing not being right, I was rooting for them to finally get their happy ending. I did not realize this was the second book in a series, and looking back I think I would have loved the book even more if I read Bend Toward the Sun first. There were a lot of characters to keep track of, and I’m guessing had I read the first book, I would have had more context and would have been able to lose myself in the story more seamlessly.
Thank you to St Martin's Press and NetGalley for the advanced copy.

Honestly 10 out of 10. Jen Devon owns a part of my heart with her writing. Her characters are so well thought out and detailed. I love a second chance romance and this one was so well done. The Bradys are such an intricate family with so many great dynamics and how Temperance is connected, which also keeps her connected to Duncan was so well done.

I read the first book in this 'series' and absolutely adored it. I put series in quotes because this is not marketed on Amazon or Goodreads as a series, however you can tell that the setting, characters and side stories are a carryover from the first book. I was excited to read the second book, but this book was released two years after the first. With that amount of time in between reading the first book, I was completely lost as to who everyone was in the book. There were so many family members and side characters that I couldn't keep straight who was who. I only made it 12% through the book before I decided it was not for me. Jen Devon does angst well, so I may come back to it when I am in the mood, but it was too much backtracking and feeling lost for me to want to continue it right now.

I loved Bend Towards the Sun and am happy to say Right Where We Left Us was equally as good. Jen Devon knows how to write a story that's going to hit you with all the feels. I particularly loved the back story with Temperance and Duncan and how their lives have always been intertwined. A very sweet story, with a bit of spice. I would recommend reading Bends Towards the Sun before reading Right Where We Left Us to provide you a bit more background.

Thank you St. Martins Griffin and NetGalley for the eARC in exchange for my honest review.

If you give me the chance to read a book on forced proximity, you better believe I'm gonna read it and boy did I read this one! I fell in love with this book! The amount of yearning in this book had me completely melting!

Unfortunately, I think I've read similar romances that have done these tropes a little better. I found the writing style a bit dry and it wasn't as captivating as I imagined the story being.

Jen Devon knows how to write a romance novel.

I fell in love with the Brady family in Bend Toward the Sun and my love only continued into Right Where We Left Us. To say I was excited for a book about Temperance and Duncan is an understatement and it not only lived up to my expectations, but blew them away.

Temperance is so strong and fierce, but also has so many family issues. Duncan is so incredibly sweet, but hides it. These two together are something special and their chemistry and pull towards each other is unmatched.

I love that we got to see more of Rowan and Harry (from Bend Toward the Sun) and I highly recommend reading their book first to get all of the family backstory and figure out the characters. The Brady family is large and wonderful and you'll want to meet them all!

I enjoyed the second-chance trope. It was lighthearted, straightforward and sweet. That said, I feel like there were a lot of plot holes and I was left with some questions. I understand it is part of a standalone series, but feel like it maybe should have been marketed as a true series, as there wasn't a lot of context into their relationship and the connection between the main characters and many of the side characters.
I felt the dialogue was fun, but the amount of characters and the lack of context as a standalone made it a bit harder to read. 2.5/5

This was a cute story. I did struggle a smidge with the third person and the pacing of the book. And I wish I would have known there was a book prior to this one, even tho it is a standalone. I did really enjoy the Brady family taking her in and then getting a second chance!

For a second chance romance, I feel I didn’t get a lot of details about Temperance and Duncan’s past. Unfortunately, Right Where We Left Us just wasn’t for me.

Jen Devon’s follow up to her novel Bend Towards the Sun follows the Duncan Family again and one of their members falling in love. Right Where We Left Us (which is set to be released on June 18th) is a story about family, loyalty, and finding love at the right place at the right time.

This book took me a little bit to get into, but by the halfway point I was really itching to see when Duncan and Temperance would finally give into their feelings.

I found the pining to be a little too dragged out and their communication skills to be lacking something, but overall this book has a bit of everything: steamy moments, heartwarming family moments, a bit of family drama, long kept secrets, funny moments, a wedding, and characters you’ll fall in love with (even if you do need a family tree to keep everyone in order lol)!

I felt a lot of the plot points from BEND TOWARDS THE SUN (which chronicle’s Duncan’s brother and Temperance’s best friend fall in love) transitioned over to this book which made it more enjoyable of a read for me. That being said, this book can definitely work as a standalone novel also!

If you like second chance romances with a slow burn and LOTS of pining, then this is the book for you!
