I start with what I liked...
I liked that it was a page-turner, addictive and angsty. I like Madison's violence and that she didn't back down.
I like all the push-and-pull games. But I think that's it. It had an interesting ending, so I wanted to read the sequel!! That's something.
No not so good things....
I have seen so many good reviews about this book/series, but I don't understand how.
Don't get me wrong I love RH books. But this didn't excite me that much. I get the plot and characters. I get why Madison was angry, but I hate the miscommunication trope so much that I was angry when I read this. Open your mouth and talk. It's not that hard.
And Madisond 'revenge'... I'm speechless... oh photoshop guys that they are gay, c'mon it's not the 18th century, nobody cares who you like...
Mostly I didn't like that they were so young, who acted like adults. While there weren't any adult figures around. All the school scenes were pointless.

I have mixed feelings about this book. Some aspects I really enjoyed but there was a few things that I didn’t love. I loved the tension and angst between Madison Kate, Archer, Kodi and Steele and their hate to love relationships. I liked Madison Kate’s character throughout this book even though she made some questionable decisions but I enjoyed Kodi and Steeles characters a lot more. I’m interested to see where her relationship with Archer goes into the other books.
I absolutely disliked her best friend Bree and her dad. Every time either one of them was mentioned it irritated me.
Overall I enjoyed reading this book. The cliff hanger at the end left me wanting to read the next immediately to see what happens with MK and the guys.
Thank you to NetGalley for the book and all opinions are my own.

It’s easy to read, easy to follow, and I can definitely see why it’s blown up. While I stopped at 5%, this is an easy three to four stars from the target audience.
Thank you to NetGalley and Bloom Books for the ARC.

I really enjoyed this story but it was a bit slow moving and repetitive for awhile. It ends on a cliff note so now I’m desperate to start the others. I feel like this one just barely scratches the surface of what’s to come.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read this arc. I LOVED THIS BOOK! At the beginning I was a little eh but once I got into the story and fell for the characters I was hooked! I need to read the second one immediately!!!!!

Adison Kate totally steals the show, no doubt about it. She's got this whole combo of being violent, arrogant, and carrying a serious grudge – and I was all for it. Even as her character kinda mellows out in the book, she still rocks this super-sarcastic vibe. What's cool is that she's not just following the guys around; she's doing her own thing, ditching them a few times. In a genre where heroines usually play it second fiddle, Adison's alpha level matches, or even beats, the guys'. It was a solid, satisfying read, enjoyed it enough to give it a bump-up in my rating. And man, I'm itching for the sequel – things were getting juicy right before the end.

This is one of my favorite series of all time & I got so excited when I saw that the Madison Kate series got picked up by a traditional publisher! I love a good female main character with a strong personality that isn't afraid to be herself and do what she wants. She's not perfect and she has a lot of trauma to work through. This series has a near perfect balance between plot lines and spice.
Thank you to NetGalley, Sourcebooks Bloom, and Tate James for sending me an early copy!

I first read this series in 2020, it was actually the first series I read by Tate James. I remember this being such a hit when it released and I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it. When I heard that the series had been picked up by SOURCEBOOKS Bloom Books, I could not be more happy for this author. This was the first book I read by Tate James, and I have continued to read and support her ever since. With the new release/covers of the series I wanted to go back in time and experience the series once again. Even though I have read many books since then, it not deter my enjoyment at all.
“Madison Kate Danvers was murdered tonight.” Such an iconic line and I still feel the same way reading it. It’s been awhile so I don’t remember a whole lot of the series to be honest. It was like being reacquainted with old friends. The story grips you and you can feel the passion of these characters, and the tension between them as well. Madison Kate has lived a privilege life but it’s not without its hardships. Especially, the beginning of the book. Fast forward to later and she is most definitely not having a good time. Well, maybe occasionally good.
This was not my first RH and it definitely was not my last, but one thing you need to remember is that all characters need to be distinct. It’s easy for them to mold into one and that’s definitely not the case with this series. Each of the men has their own personality, their own way of speaking, and their actions are individualized as well. Within a few chapters I knew who my favorite was, I know we shouldn’t pick but we all know we do.
The book ended with a decent size cliffhanger, and the mystery and drama is just beginning. We’re not close to a HEA, the romance still has awhile to go and you don’t know who to trust and who to be wary of.
I cannot wait to dive into the rest of the series for nostalgia. However, I really don’t remember that much so it’s kind of like reading it again. Love this author, love the series and I’m looking forward to this journey.
Thank you to NetGalley and SOURCEBOOKS Bloom Books for the opportunity to read this book. All opinions are my own.

Thank you to Netgalley, Bloom Books and the author for allowing me access to this book as an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I ate this up so quickly.
An addictive writing style, banter to die for, and tension that could be cut with a machete. And three obsessed tatted men? What more could a girl ask for?
Madison Kate, MK for the besties, love her even though she’s just the tiniest bit stubborn.
Steele, Kody, and Archer. Yummy.
Fuck her dad. Still don’t understand that whole relationship.
And the stalker bit? I’ve got theories but I’m so confused.
Would love to have more of the background gang lore in the second book.
As well, wouldn’t mind more spice… Did not expect a why choose slow burn romance?? Not mad tho, not mad.
Favorite quotes (MIGHT CONTAIN SPOILERS):
« I thought I recognized that ass. Now what is a girl like you doing in West Shadow Grove, Madison Kate Danvers? »
« So that was three. Three men, all undoubtedly a whole lot bigger and meaner than me. I was so fucked. »
« I know you’re still here. I can practically smell your fear. Where are you hiding, little mouse? »
« Steele. What a stupid fucking name. It suited him. »
« The edges of my black bra showed, and I gave zero fucks because it was a bra, not a butt plug. »
« I’m not sorry for kissing you. I’d do it again, if you didn’t slap so hard. »
« Girl, the sexual tension between you two just made me wet. Please tell me you’re planning on riding him like your personal pony. Soon. »
« Now was it just me, or did that have a dangerously sexual hint to it? A girl could dream. »
« Doesn’t have to be just on the kitchen counter. I’m adept at fucking on all kinds of surfaces. »
« It was a shame they’d tried to screw me so hard a year ago, because I might have just found my soul mates. »
« Apparently I wasn’t getting any D in my V just yet. Fucking cunt-blocker. »

Thank you to Netgalley for a digital arc in exchange for an honest review. Hate is the first book in the Madison Kate series. This is an enemies to lovers why choose with suspense, mystery, and spice (Tate wrote it of course it's top tier.) Madison Kate goes down for a crime she didn't commit. She thinks the boys framed her. To her surprise when she gets back to town, the boys (all 3 of them) are living in her house. This is forced proximity, it's hate to lovers, and I have never loved why choose more than when I can have all three book boyfriends without having to pick. This is one of my Roman Empire books and Tate is an auto-buy author for me. Just make sure you have the next book in the series ready cause the author sure knows how to write cliffhangers.

Quotes
“This was clearly early onset Stockholm syndrome setting in, where I started humanizing my enemies. I needed to cut it off before it got any worse.”
“Girl,” she said with a laugh, “the sexual tension between you two just made me wet. Please tell me you’re planning on riding him like your personal pony. Soon.”
I know this book has been out a while but I received a copy from NG for the new cover release. I haven’t read it before so I was excited to be offered this! Thank you!
The book starts off with a bang. Literally.
Madison Kate snuck off to the other side of town where she shouldn’t be as a high profile girl in town but she wanted to watch the underground fights for one guy. But while she’s there shots ring out and everyone flees. She’s spoted by a Realer who chases her down but some mysterious men save her from him. But they ended up framing her for crimes she never committed that night.
She serves her time and lives across the world to better her father’s image but her father could have put an end to all of it and not let her go to jail. Majority of people believed she was innocent. Her father summons her home but then leaves for 8 weeks while she starts college in town. She now has 3 new roommates, one of which is her future step brother. Those 3 roommates happen to be the 3 guys who set her up for the crimes the year before. Archer, Steele and Kody.
She does everything she can to get them out of her hair. Pranks and retaliation on all sides. But the guys are trying to protect MK because she has a crazy creepy stalker. Juggling all three guys but not committing and i totally get it because girl has a crazy life at the moment. But def don’t choose just one girl. 😘
I really enjoyed this book. I knew I would as I have read the hades series before. I can’t wait to hop right into the next book.

Thank you to NetGalley and Sourcebooks Bloom Books for providing me with an eARC of Hate by Tate James in return for my honest opinion.
Tate James you have very quickly got me in a choke hold with your Madison Kate series, it is so bloody good! It is so refreshing to read a good reverse harem series with an actual plot!! The plot is fast paced and incredibly addictive, it make it so hard to put it down!
Madison Kate is such a badass FMC, I love her and her snarky, takes no crap attitude! I do think her need for revenge did almost go a little far at times, but I ‘m glad there were no real repercussions from some of her damaging plans on the three guys she blames for ruining her life (spoiler they didn’t but she doesn’t know that yet!).
I adore all three MMC’s, Archer, Steele and Kody are all very different and this helps make them all loveable in their own dark and twisted ways (but they do all share the ‘mean to everyone but her’ vibes bunt that’s certainly not a problem haha). It also means that they’re able to form different kinds of relationships with MK, which really helps with the plot and believability of the relationships.
That ending though? What a cliff hanger!! I immediately ran to NetGalley and requested the next book!!

This story is amazing and the chemistry between the characters wow.
It’s well worth the reading. I haven't read many reverse harem books, but this one was so fun. I loved all three guys and how they were actually different and had different kinds of relationships with Madison Kate. I honestly can't choose who I like more?? They all wanted to protect her and I need to know what's going to happen next after that ending! I didn't give it a full five stars, though, because I got a bit bored in the middle when all they were doing is going to parties and hanging out. Give me one new adult romance where the heroine isn't picked up and thrown over the shoulder of a hero. BUT the plot and pacing really picked at the end and I couldn't put this book down! I need answers now!!

i like madison kate’s character and the plot (kind of) but everything else wasn’t really appealing to me. I didn’t like the mmcs, they gave me the ick big time so i didn’t care to see their romantic relationships develop
thank you to Bloom and netgalley for an ARC in exchange of an honest review!

Wait.
Wait.
Wait.
What was this book??? And why does it have me in such a choke hold. I’m obsessed.
Maddison Kate was Bratty. Bold. Brave. Annoying. Childish. Funny. She was everything we want from our FMC also she is surrounded by sketchy people like her dad is a giant AHole and her bestie is sketchy AF
Yet this Why choose slow burn romance has us as readers gripped from the first page.
Also all the MMCs were top tier alphas who are awful,, arrogant and full of themselves yet sweet and soft for her

Book one of four, ends on a cliffhanger and there is a lot of unfinished story to fill four books. It’s a reverse Harem, in this book she only engages with one of the guys, even though she hates them for setting her up. Mk also starts to have an emotional connection with another of the guys and has a hate-hate relationship with the third guy. Definitely has enough substance to continue reading the next books.

Wow! What a wild ride! I was surprised with each page that I read. I absolutely can’t wait to see what else Madison Kate does to and with the trio of men. I am incredible thankful to the publisher for the e-arc and I CANNOT wait for the next book.

Part murder mystery, part angsty forbidden romance with lots of tension filled love to hate vibes, Tate James’ Hate is perfect for those looking for a spicy why choose romance with a strong plot and a fierce female main character.
Hate kicks off with an intense, heart pounding opening scene and doesn’t ever slow down. This book introduces us to the series cast of characters and I appreciate how the author takes her time developing the characters and slowly building the relationships and connections over the course of the book. I love how the FMC develops her own unique relationship with each MMC and I’m excited to see how everything plays out. In the meantime, I’m definitely enjoying the banter and delicious tension between MK and her guys.
Be prepared, Hate does end on a pretty big cliffhanger but for me, it just makes me all the more excited for the rest of the series!

This is my third time reading the Madison Kate series and it is still one of my favorite reverse harems.
MK is such a baddie and I cannot explain how much I love her character and her inner dialogue. I love seeing how fierce she is and how even though she’s been through a lot of trauma, she never gives up. She keeps pushing forward.
This book has so many twists and turns and it had me on the edge of my seat the whole time. I love all of the boys in this book and even though they’re a bunch of a-holes, I know there’s more to the story. The cliffhanger at the end was amazing and I cannot wait to dive into book 2 again ☺️

I loved this book so much! The plot is full of mystery, thrill, and spice! The banter between Madison Kate and her three new roommates had me laughing, and the tension had me wanting more. Besides the fact that Madison Kate had tried to turn her life around after being framed for an outburst at Riot Night (Hey, remember those three roommates?). Lets not forget to mention that she now has to rely on those guys to protect her from her stalker.
This reverse harem will keep you on intrigued by the storyline and spice. I don't want to spoil to much, so definitely give this a read!
