A Thrilling Heist with a Touch of Romance
Jewel Me Twice is a captivating blend of heist thriller and romantic suspense. Charish Reid masterfully weaves a tale of passion, intrigue, and high-stakes adventure.
The story follows Celeste St. Pierre, a former jewel thief turned antique store owner, and Magnus Larsson, a brilliant geologist with a knack for creating replicas. When they reunite to honor their mentor's final wish and pull off the heist of the century, sparks fly and old wounds are reopened.
Reid's writing is both engaging and evocative. The fast-paced plot, coupled with the sizzling chemistry between Celeste and Magnus, keeps readers hooked from start to finish. The European backdrop provides a stunning setting for the thrilling escapades and romantic interludes.
While the characters are well-developed, the emotional depth could have been explored further. The focus on the heist and the romantic tension sometimes overshadows the character development. Nevertheless, Jewel Me Twice is a thrilling ride that will satisfy fans of heist novels and romantic suspense alike.

Jewel Me Twice was a fun romance between two jewelry thieves. Magnus and Celeste were thieves under the same mentor, but both ended up on different paths. Their paths intersect again upon her death when she organizes one final heist from beyond the grave. Working in proximity, they rekindle their romance and realize their feelings for each other.

I am such a huge fan of Charish Reid! The cover of Jewel me twice is is gorgeous and perfectly displays the banter and chemistry the two MC'S have. If you enjoy heist's, mystery, morally grey characters with hearts of gold, and romance this book is perfect for you!

An absolute amazing book! I had a lot of fun reading it. The chemistry between the leads is so palpable and I was very into them from the start, wanting them to get together asap!! The heist aspect of the book feels a lot underdeveloped in comparison to the romance, which is an issue I can let slide cause I had fun reading this, but just to manage expectations, I would say go into this as if it's solely a romance and it will not disappoint!!

Omg okay so this book had me hooked! The chemistry and tension between Celeste and Magnus is incredible, and I was rooting for them so hard (in the heist and in love)

This is a sweet romance for those who like some tension but want heartfelt moments as well. The story follows the journey of the protagonist as she navigates personal challenges and the pursuit of her dreams.
The novel explores themes of love and identity, with some engaging moments that kept me turning the pages. I appreciated the portrayal of family dynamics. Reid’s writing is warm and inviting, though I found some parts of the plot a bit predictable. While the characters are likable, I wished for deeper development to make their struggles feel even more impactful.

I was expecting Ocean’s 11 and it’s giving Lifetime. The tension between the characters works. But if you are looking for a crime thriller, this aint it. I love romance, but the world of the romance has to be built out if you place it into a heist, high-crime thieving enterprise.

This book was a joy! I am such a fan of Charish's work and I had such a blast reading this one.
I loved the tension between Mags and Celeste!! They had great chemistry and history with each other; it was a perfect second chance romance!!
The heist aspect of the novel truly kept me engaged throughout and I was dying to figure out what was going to happen next. I also loved the parallels between Celeste and her mentor. I really loved seeing how their relationship made Celeste the woman she is today and how the journal entries aided in her decision making for the future.
I am really hoping that there's a spin off that focuses on Santi and Beatrice, because that story would be everything. I loved their little crumbs between each other throughout!!
Overall, a fun time, and a great change of pace.
Thank you Charish Reid, HTP Books, and Netgalley for this eARC in exchange for my honest review.

(3/5 stars) I wanted to love this book so much - I love a heist and a romance to boot. However, it felt like the only part that had been deeply thought out was the romance part and the heist felt like an afterthought. It left me wanting more, and took forever to read.

Didn’t realize I loved a good heist book but this was a great attempt. I feel like there were some slips - like I would’ve liked the side characters built upon a little bit more. But overall it was good.

WHY DO I LOVE A HEIST ROMANCE SO MUCH??? and by charish reid? i knew this book would be a hit for me and i was exactly right. do i want them to be together? WHO CARES GET THOSE JEWELS AND BANTER THAT BANTER!

Fun, interesting story about two con artists both trying to steal the same item the same night. The tension was on point

This was a fun second chance romance. I didn't feel the heist part at all - it had zero suspense in it. But Celeste and Magnus were a cute couple.

4 1/2 stars. A heist plot and a sexy, smart couple with a second chance at romance? What isn't there to love. Celeste and Magnus have chemistry that sizzles and their relationship with all its baggage are front and center at this story. Oh, don't get me wrong, the heist is a major part of the story and adds a lot of fun and sparks but not to the detriment of an actual relationship that is more than just the first stages of a honeymoon phase with the added adrenaline rush of danger. These two have a history and a lot of hurdles to overcome.
Some of the pacing is a bit slow when it comes to reading of the will of their old mentor and I wish the other characters involved in the heist were a bit more fleshed out but overall this is a very good read.
Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for an ARC in exchange for an honest opinion.

This is my first time reading a book by Charish Reid and I must admit that the cover was rather enticing and drew me in. Celeste and Magnus share a past. Five years ago, the two were partners in crime and lovers. Celeste now finds herself running an antique store in Manhattan and still much present in the stealing of jewels. This is a second chance at romance for Celeste and Magnus as the two find themselves embroiled in a jewel heist. Magnus has done his level best to go about his way and forget Celeste but he can’t seem to let go of what they once shared. There is a lot going on in this book as there is loss and grief as the two go about their way stilling gems all while rekindling their romance. The characters are great as they had me on the edge of my seat with their ability to steal the jewels and rooting from them all the way.
I received an ARC via NetGalley and Harlequin Trade Publishing | Canary Street Press and I am leaving my review voluntarily.

No. This was a no for me. I was excited for this because of Reids previous novel but I just had to DNF this one.

Jewel Me Twice is a fun, second-chance romance featuring professors by day and jewel thieves by night. Mags and Celeste dated five years ago but split after a failed plan—one that also caused them to lose trust in each other. Now, after the death of their mentor, the crew is back together, and the two must confront the unresolved feelings they've been avoiding.
I enjoyed the humor and found it to be a quick, engaging read. The plot felt fresh and unique, particularly because of the characters' intriguing double lives. All in all, I’d definitely read more from this author and would recommend it to anyone looking for a romance with a twist.

Jewel Me Twice was a treat to read! I loved the “second chance lovers” element with enough suspense with the heist to keep my crime fiction heart engaged. The dynamic between Magnus and Celeste made for a fun read, and I liked how Reid tied in their history/context via their mentor, Doris. That provided enough of a hook to keep me guessing how things would turn out. While I would have liked to learn more about the supporting characters in the book (I liked where things were going with Beatrice and Santiago, and you know Lawrence was up to some grade-A shenanigans back in the day), I could appreciate the fact that enough background information was provided to let readers into the found family dynamic.
While I’ve read Reid’s books in the past, it has been a bit. Looks like I need to read more from her after reading Jewel Me Twice.
Thank you NetGalley and Harlequin Trade Publishing/Canary Street Press for providing me with an advance reader copy of the book.

Such a great read! Highly recommend this one.
Many thanks to the author, the publisher, and Netgalley for my ARC. All opinions are my own.

While I really hoped to love this one, it turned out to be an okay read for me. All the overall elements to make for a fanastic story were there, but in the end, it didn't quite stick the landing I expected. The story is about these working professionals who steal jewel in their spare time. All of the characters, except one of the secondary's, used to work on a crew together, but they split apart after a job was botched. Now, after the passing of their mentor, they have been given the opportunity to do one more heist with each other.
I really loved that the main characters were a little bit older (41 /45), and were essentially chosing to engage in this activity versus doing it out of necessity (at least during this part of their lives). The romance in this book happens between former lovers, Celeste and Magnus, who split apart because of differences in views about their future. I don't know that I would call this story a second chance romance, as the couple were never truly a couple the first time around, but more like heist mates with benefits. Their connection throughout this story seems to be grounded in physical intimacy, but it didn't really go too much deeper. Also, everything we learn about the characters on a deeper level happens in the present, on page, through conversations they're just now deciding to have. It's very hard to sell the relationship as a second chance, when they actually never really knew each other or were never in a real relationship.
I think the other area where the book fell short for me were the underdevelopment of the secondary characters and the beliveability of their actions. The 3 secondarys felt mostly like filler, rather being real people, who were part of this close nit found family who trusted each other to get through these potentially dangerous
Thank youNetgalley and Harlequin Trade Publishing for providing an arc of this book
