Getting hit by a car sends Kelsey flying in a new direction. She lands on the idea of A Summer of Yes - dragging Georgina along with her. You will definitely want to say yes to this book!
I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

What a fun and introspective book with such a unique concept! The idea of embracing more Yes to prioritize and try things you’d normally say no to was refreshing and lent to a great story! The camaraderie with Georgina and Kelsey was spot on and they saw each other in themselves and knew the best way to push each other bit by bit.
This book is all about taking risks, being outside your comfort zone, accepting love and forgiveness, and enjoying life’s journey!
A great read for sure!!

WHAT TO SAY!!?!?!? This book was incredible. An easy, solid 5-stars. This was joyful, heartwarming & funny. Courtney Walsh filled this book with life lessons & enduring characters. The banter between the characters was hilarious. It gave a clear picture of who each person was.
We start with Kelsey waking up in a hospital bed, unsure of what happened…after her second chance at life we follow her and the stubborn Georgina on a Summer of YES! I thought this would be a simple story of friendship, but it was SO. MUCH. MORE.
I cannot wait to buy a hard copy when this comes out! You all should be standing in line to grab this easy reading story of life book! I know I will!!
Thank you to NetGalley, Courtney Walsh & Thomas Nelson for the opportunity to read & review this book early!

This book was just…. WOW 😍
The cover is stunning. The characters, with their banter, just suck you right in. I could easily imagine Kelsey and Georgina in real life, which helped this novel flow so easily.
This book left me speechless and makes me want to say yes to even more things!

Definitely chick lit.....and I loved it. Light, heartwarming, and fun. A bit predictable, but so what? The characters are delightful (even the curmudgeonly Georgina) and the plot tightly structured. Of course it goes exactly as expected, but I never understood why people want to make that a bad thing. Reading is designed to help us escape the humdrum of daily existence and to help us appreciate the mundanity. And this book does exactly that.
I received an ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Wow oh wow did I enjoy this one! I resonated with it so much. We follow our main character who wakes up in the hospital from an accident and she realizes that she has let work take over her life. She convinces her hospital roommate, a cranky woman who owns and started a cosmetics company, to have a summer of “yes” where they say yes to things they otherwise wouldn’t. This novel was so inspiring and I enjoyed the friendships and romances blossoming throughout. It was a quick and sweet read that I can definitely see myself rereading when it comes out! I loved being in this story and it really gave me the push to do things out of my comfort zone since I’ve been so stuck in what I know.
Thank you so much to NetGalley and the publisher for a copy of this e-ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This book is such a charming and inspiring read. The protagonist, Kelsey, learns to break free from her routine by embarking on a ‘Yes Plan’, finding joy and growth in new experiences. The novel is a delightful read, offering a message about the courage to take risks and the beauty of spontaneity. Perfect for anyone looking to be reminded of the power of saying "YES"!

THE SUMMER OF YES is a charming book, and I'm so glad I had the chance to read it. The characters are realistically portrayed, and I cared about how things would turn out for Kelsey and Georgina. The plot was engaging, although the pacing dragged at times, especially in the beginning. I think readers of this type of story prefer a faster pace and don't want to get bogged down. This is especially true since writers are (unfortunately) competing with Netflix and other streaming services.
However, ultimately this is a very satisfying novel. Kelsey and Georgina embark on quite the entertaining caper. I especially enjoyed the moments of humor threaded with jewels of wisdom. The patience displayed by Dylan was almost too good to be true, but very sweet.
Highly recommended for fans of women's fiction and uplifting stories about self discovery and growth.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an advance e-galley. All opinions in this review are 100% my own.

Courtney Walsh writes an incredible story in The Summer of Yes. This book showcases two unlikely lives colliding in a story of making hard choices, embracing the potential for changing your path and digging deep in to the messy world of your own “why” and life’s passions. This is a book of self discovery, the power of forgiveness and ultimately —- saying yes to love and the things that scare you. I loved this story, the characters and how relatable it was. Made me smile, laugh and cry which to me is the sign of a great book.

Walsh does it again! You’re going to want to say YES! to The Summer of Yes. This amazing story will pull you in from the very beginning and will have you holding on tight until the very end.
I absolutely devoured this book and DID NOT want to put it down or let it end. When I reached the last quarter of the book I wanted it to slow down so I could savor it until the very end.
These characters, this story, the message, I loved it all. Through her characters, Walsh encourages us to step out of our comfort zone and say yes to the things that we desperately want to do but are too afraid to say yes to.
There is a smattering of romance, including some amazing kissing scenes in this book, but it mostly focuses on Kelsey and Georgina learning to step out of their comfort zone and allowing it to change their lives. I definitely recommend saying yes to this book.
I was provided a copy of the book from the author/publisher. I was not required to post a positive review and all views and opinions are my own.

Really enjoyed this sweet lighthearted read. Kelsey has a life changing accident that leads to her meeting Georgina, older wealthy famous woman who is suffering from kidney disease. They take on the task of a summer of saying yes. This leads to beautiful family connections, a romance (or two) and just a sweet story overall.
This was given to me as an ARC from netgalley. All opinions are my own. Thank you to the publisher!!

I enjoyed reading this book! It was a bit predictable but it was a cute light summer read! The character development was good and it made me feel good all the way throughout

This was an enjoyable book about a woman who discovers she is not happy in her life and needs a change. She ends up in the hospital with a legendary New York businesswoman with a lot of baggage and they go on a journey of self-discovery together. The two women’s stories cause you to look into your own life and imagine what it would be like if you said yes more often.
Thank you to Net Galley for this digital ARC!

You need to say YES to reading this book this summer!
Was that too cheesy? Probably.
I am such a Courtney Walsh fan. This was another sweet, cute, clean story with dynamic and relatable characters that you just love, lots of witty banter, and some deep themes. This book was light and fun, but really inspiring! I love how all of Courtney’s books are so optimistic and full of hope and happiness.
I loved the Dual POV and the relationship between both women. I really related to different parts of Kelsey’s personality and absolutely loved the way that Kelsey and Georgina pushed each other out of their comfort zones. The romance aspect of the story was so sweet, and I loved that part of the book was set in North Carolina.
Absolutely adored. Highly recommend!

This is such a fun story! I enjoyed getting to know the two main characters and their very different perspectives, one looking back on life and the other in the midst of trying to make a career for herself. This is a delightful, rom com style story!

I absolutely loved this book! The way that it tells two stories of two main characters while also weaving their stories together is just brilliant. So full of heart and a great reminder of what really matters in life. Forever a Courtney Walsh reader!

Say YES to The Summer of Yes! You won't regret it. Courtney Walsh's newest book sparkles with fun, wittiness and enjoyment. At the center is an intergenerational friendship that opens long-time closed doors, revealing new adventures, new feelings, self-discovery and quite possibly new relationships and love. In addition to being a great story that is well-written and easy to read, the characters are extremely likable and fun to hang out with. This is a great book that is sure to be a summertime hit.

My thanks to NetGalley for the arc. I will say right off the bat that 'women's lit' is very much not my go-to, but the description was interesting, so I thought I'd give it a try. Overall, this was a quick read and relatively pleasant read. I can see this being an excellent beach read, or book club book--I just thought it was fine, but it really is a case of this not being a genre that I particularly enjoy. This book will find the right reader, but I'm not it.

Kelsey wakes up in a hospital bed, where she's been unconscious for two days. She's an assistant book editor and does not have time to be sick nor know anyone will enough to have visitors. Her roommate ends up being a famous woman, Georgina, whose started her own makeup company. Georgina doesn't want a roommate. It turns out they are similar personalities and both have said No more than they should have making work their live. This turns into the summer of yes, new friendship, refound family and new love.

Here’s what I loved:
Georgina
I FREAKING LOVE HER!! Honestly, she carried the book for me. Kelsey was fine and good, but I loved Georgina! I wish I was better at remembering the movies/shows I watch to give examples of who her character is, but alas I have the memory of a goldfish. She is just the classic rich, sassy, successful, older woman and I love her.
The story
A near death experience has Kelsey rethinking her whole life, and she’s dragging the grumpy and incredibly famous woman sharing her hospital room with her. Their (her) mission? A summer of yes! Saying yes to the things they (she) would normally say no to! It’s comical, it’s emotional, it’s thought provoking.
Here’s what I didn’t love:
There we’re a few slow moments
A couple of times I found myself having to set the book down and not being too upset about doing so. It’s mainly the beginning of the story that’s a bit slow, while Kelsey is formulating her Summer of Yes, but after that the pacing is much better!
