Loved this one! As someone who consistently gets buried in my work and has recently established boundaries, it was a relatable story about how much you can truly miss if you don’t stop and look around once in a while.
Although both are in completely different stages of life, Georgina and Kelsey’s similarities and personalities make for an entertaining read. The addition of Hayden and Dylan just make it that much sweeter. There are many lifelong regrets at play, but the story leaves you begging for resolution.
Hoping for a part 2 but will definitely be checking out more from this author.

Thank you to NetGalley and Thomas Nelson Fiction for providing this book, with my honest review below.
The Summer of Yes was a joy to read and it has me looking through Courtney Walsh’s other books to see where else I can get wrapped up in an adventure.
Following Kelsey, who is trying to make a name for herself in publishing while running away from her passion for writing (and suppressing her personal life for success) and Georgina, a legend with a beauty company who is ending her life with many regrets about her own suppression of her personal life, the link between the two is obvious. A bit like the ghost of christmases future and present, once these two connect and embark upon Kelsey’s Summer of Yes, anything can and does happen.
I enjoyed the ride so much and thought the writing and plot movement were both perfect. Sweet and little poignant, this is guaranteed to be a good time for any reader.

I loved absolutely everything about this book. I thought that there was no way that this could live up to my first Courtney Walsh book (Isadora Bentley) but it absolutely did. I loved the characters and their development throughout the novel, I loved the plot, and I didn't want this book to end. Add this to your summer reading list!!!
Thank you to Netgalley, Courtney Walsh, and the publisher for an eARC in exchange for an honest review.

Oh wow this book!! This book was incredible! Such a breath of fresh air, I read this by the beach today and the vibes were just amazing.
So, the Summer of Yes is a captivating and heartwarming novel that follows the transformative journey of Kelsey Worthington, a dedicated and ambitious junior editor who finds herself at a crossroads after a life-altering near-death experience. This incident serves as a wake-up call for Kelsey, forcing her to reevaluate her priorities and question the path she has chosen.
Enter Georgina Tate, a successful and older. and influential businesswoman who is also facing her own mortality. Georgina becomes a catalyst for change in Kelsey's life, inspiring her to embark on a summer of saying yes to new experiences and embracing life to the fullest. Together, these two women form an unlikely bond and set out on a series of adventures that challenge them to step out of their comfort zones and confront their fears head-on. I absolutely ADORED these two women and the bond they formed. The author so beautifully captured it and executed!
Throughout the story, the themes of love, forgiveness, regret, and second chances are explored in a profound and thought-provoking manner. It was so heartfelt. Kelsey and Georgina's personal journeys serve as a backdrop for these themes, as they navigate through their own past mistakes and seek redemption. The power of taking risks and living fearlessly is a central message in the book, reminding readers of the importance of seizing opportunities and not letting fear hold them back.
As for the characters in this book, they are incredibly well-developed, each with their own unique quirks and flaws that make them relatable and endearing. Kelsey's transformation from a workaholic to a woman who learns to appreciate the beauty of life is beautifully portrayed, while Georgina's wisdom and strength provide a guiding light for both Kelsey and myself included.
The relationships depicted in the book are heartwarming and authentic, showcasing the power of human connection and the impact it can have on one's life. From the blossoming friendship between Kelsey and Georgina to the romantic entanglements that arise, the bonds formed in The Summer of Yes are both tender and impactful. The inclusion of romance elements adds depth and complexity to the narrative, further enhancing the emotional journey of the characters.
The chemistry between Kelsey and her love interest is palpable, and their relationship serves as a reminder that love can be found in unexpected places and at unexpected times. The emotional rollercoaster depicted in The Summer of Yes resonates deeply with readers, evoking a range of emotions from laughter to tears. The author's ability to capture the essence of human emotions and experiences is truly remarkable, making the story feel authentic and relatable.
Overall, The Summer of Yes is a perfect summer read! Definitely recommend it if anyone wants to take this book with them to the beach! This book offers such a compelling and uplifting narrative that encourages to embrace opportunities, take risks, and cherish meaningful connections in their lives. It serves as a reminder that life is too short to be lived in fear and that saying yes to new experiences can lead to personal growth and fulfillment. This book is a must-read for anyone seeking inspiration and a reminder to live life to the fullest. Highly recommend!
Thanks a lot Netgalley and Thomas Nelson Fiction for providing me with the arc in exchange for an honest review!

This story of an unlikely friendship is such a wonderful story! I couldn't put it down! Kelsey is the woman we all can identify with--a good life that going well, but not a great life that's full of risks and adventures and great rewards. Meeting Georgina is a most unconventional way gives this book the twist that turns it into such a great adventure as we go along with them on a summer of never saying no. Their adventure in New York is laugh out loud funny and, although there's more to Georgina (that's all I'll say so I don't give anything away!) than what I expected, it only makes the two women's friendship stronger and their Summer of Yes that much more special. Highly recommend this book!

Clean and cute---Kelsey and Georgina meet as hospital roommates--I love Georgina's dry and sassy tone--and that Kelsey knows or thinks she knows that Georgina is just kidding. They both learn valuable lessons about forgiveness, grace, saying YES, and even saying NO.
Thank you, NetGalley, for this ARC.

The title The Summer of Yes caught my attention, given that I reread The Year of Yes with my bookclub in January. I'm glad I requested for this book and it was approved because it drove home the lessons I'd learnt earlier in the year, with an interesting story and romance in built. I recommend this book to everyone who has been struggling with fears and insecurities.

What an inspiring story about love, friendship, forgiveness, and second chances. I absolutely love Walsh’s writing style and the banter between Georgina and Kelsey had me cackling. The relationship they formed was so wholesome. I was smiling throughout this one and it was hard to put down. It was atmospheric and the coastal setting had me craving a summer getaway.
I truly loved everything about this book and Courtney Walsh has easily become a favorite author of mine. This one will have you reflecting and wanting to live life to the fullest. Also the cover just makes me so happy 🥹
The Summer of Yes will be out on July 2nd - just in time to add to your summer reading list! 💛

A heartwarming story about how life’s unpredictability can lead to self discovery, overcoming fears, and mending of our most important relationships. Kelsey and Georgina find friendship in the unlikeliest of places, and it leads them on an adventure of a lifetime.
Quite honestly, I struggled with the first 30% of this book. But soon after, the characters really started to capture me, and as the story built, I couldn’t put it down. So if you are unsure, keep going!
Lastly, this author plays in a few different genres. If you’re looking for a romance novel, this isn’t it. This leans much more women’s fiction/chick-lit with a hint of a love interest and an HEA.
📚Thank you to NetGalley, Thomas Nelson Fiction and Courtney Walsh for the ARC of The Summer of Yes.

An absolute 10. Perfect book, it made me laugh, cry, feel. I loved it. I want to reread it already! The writing was brilliant, characters were loveable, plot was believable, endearing, hilarious, and delightful. I LOVE this book!!!!

SAY YES TO THIS BOOK!
This is like a “buy 2 and get one free” - I feel like this book has 2 love story’s for the price of one! I loved it! They were so meaningful and so cute!
But this book also has important life lessons! Saying yes to things we don’t want to or feel afraid of.
I really enjoyed it and recommend it a lot!

4 stars! Cute summer read. It was a good story but it left me wanting more. I wanted to know more about Georgina and Dylan.

This one's for all the feel-good rom-com lovers! It's about Kelsey, a New Yorker and editor who lives a busy life in the big city and always says 'no' to everything, resulting in an unsatisfying life. But she's so stuck in her ways and struggles to open up, until she ends up in the hospital and meets the older famous makeup-mogul Georgina Tate, who is so much like Kelsey. Georgina is dying and has no relationship with her family, which makes Kelsey realise this is not the life she wants for herself. So Kelsey convinces Georgina to embark on a summer of saying yes, which ends up changing both of their lives. The result is an easily digestible, cute, summery, inspiring, slightly cliché popcorn-read of a story. Perfect as a palate cleanser between heavier books or as a vacation beach read.

"Say yes, It could change your life."
Courtney Walsh has knocked it out of the park again. This is probably my favorite of hers to date. They just keep getting better and better. It felt a little fake at the beginning that these two people with their two different medical conditions would be placed in a hospital room together but after that the book really took off. I am so glad that everyone in this book got a happy ever after. It was so sweet and endearing. I loved all the characters and I can just picture Meryl Streep playing Georgina if this was a movie.

This read like the perfect summer chick flick! I’m sprinting to Kindle Unlimited for more Courtney Walsh books.
PS: thank you to NetGalley for saying YES to giving me this ARC. What a treat!

I already adored Courtney Walsh, and this sweet book just made me love her more. This story was full of humor and heart, and the characters were so loveable and relatable. The perfect summer time read!

"What if I want to change my life? How do I even start? What if all the choices I've made up until this point were the wrong ones? Do I even have the capacity to love another human, and if so, will anyone ever love me back? Do I start over? Was that all just wasted time?"
This is a beautiful, funny and charming book. You will fall in love with the characters and as you travel along theor journey you may just end up going on one of your own. Have you ever wondered what if?
If so, take a chance and ask yourself the same questions that the characters ask themselves in this book.

Such a great read for summer time! This is my first novel by Cortney Walsh!! Quick & easy reads which are my favorite kind! Definitely Recommend!

What a fun read - the epitome of a beach read with a great message. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC.

Kelsey is an assistant editor at a publishing company. She puts work above everything else. When she gets hit by a car she ends up sharing a hospital room with Georgina, a crotchety old woman who head a successful cosmetics company. The accident causes Kelsey to reflect on the choices she’s made in life. She has always said “no” but now she decides to make this “the summer of yes” and asks Georgina to join her in this endeavor. The writing is cozy and engaging. There was great contrast between Kelsey’s point of view and Georgina’s. This added both humor and wistfulness. I had trouble putting the book down. I found it light and enjoyable reading. I thank NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read this ARC.
