I love this book sooooo much. Beautifully illustrated, fun to read, filled with great ideas -- the photos and text are magically delicious. For book collectors (like me) this is simply the best gift ever. 5 stars and then some

More like this, please !!!

A fun collection of creative ideas for book nooks! It's just missing a section for minimalists who hate clutter and love clean orderly lines. Nonetheless, I would recommend this for readers looking to design or update their special reading places.

Book Nooks- I love the title. The book is sections interestingly, with some sections based on locations and some based on a theme. Interspersed throughout are different peoples recommendations for books to read.

Although a quick read, I was inspired by many of the ideas, and especially slowed down when it got to gardening, my special interest. The pictures are lovely throughout.

The photos are lovely, however this is not what I expected. I wanted to see suggestions for cozier book spaces, instead this book has a lot of cluttered ideas. It’s fine if you have the room for random clutter. If you love and collect books, like I do, I wanted suggestions and more of a work around to eliminate the overstacked piles of books.

Otherwise, a pleasant read and nice photos.

I truly hate to give books a negative rating but this book was just not what I was hoping or expecting it to be. I found it a bit boring. I have over 2,000 books in my home and was hoping to get some good ideas but these photos look like something I could find while scrolling Pinterest. It is not a bad book, just a book with unoriginal ideas.

I enjoyed the addition of authors favorite books and the addition of Little Libraries as a version of a book nook.

If you’ve ever scrolled Pinterest or looked at any sort of design book then you’ve probably seen some version of all of these ideas.

An elegant collection of photos that show how books really do have a place in every part of your home, no matter your aesthetic or taste. The book is nicely separated into areas of the home (Kids, Garden, Kitchen) as well as color themes (Colorful, Neutral), and so forth. Of course, every area is perfectly beautiful, but that's why you buy this sort of book, isn't it? You want to be able to imagine yourself in that perfect space, soaking up the perfect ambiance. I especially loved all the cozy tucked-away corners with stacks of interesting-looking books (I definitely peered closely at many of the photos to see the book titles!).
Which in fact, leads me to my only small quibble with this book. I didn't care for its tendency to treat books as decor objects rather than containers of content for reference and interaction. For example, they suggest turning your books backward so only the pages show, or covering the entire spines and covers with paper of a certain color/pattern. These are the sorts of ideas that certainly look interesting in an Instagram, but doing these things negates both the identity of the book and the person who wrote it. It just felt a bit odd to include in a book that's all about cozy reading corners. I guess what I mean is: the idea of using books as decor objects seems more appropriate for a design and decor book, not in a book about reading, you know?
Anyway, overall it's a beautiful book and will be a lovely addition to any photo book collection. Also of course a great gift for fellow book lovers. I can think of a few friends I'll be gifting this to, come the holidays.
P.S. I learned that Gillian Flynn and I share FOUR favorite books! The Westing Game, And Then There Were None, The Woman In White, and We Have Always Lived In The Castle.

I can see this book on my coffee table. I’d so refreshing to see a book about books and book organization. My favorite part, other than the pictures, is the book recommendations. It definitely makes for an elegant book to display on the living room.

I enjoyed looking at all the different nook ideas. They were creative and polished. I also liked seeing the reading list of each author. I thought that was a nice touch and made it feel more intimate. It made me realize how little I think about color schemes and textures. Although it would have been nice to see more eclectic styles I very much liked all the different ideas that were presented. They were interesting and fun.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the arc.

Book porn for book lovers. This was a beautiful book ideal for display among your other books or on a coffee table open to your favorite nook. A great gift for book lovers and readers alike. 4/5

I thought there would be photos of unique looks, like on the cover. Instead there was photo after photo after photo with simply an arrangement of books. This was a tremendous disappointment.
This is not creating a nook. It is not creating a library. I suppose if someone needs help putting book ends on each end of the stack of books, this is a perfect book for that person. If you need ideas of where to stack them under a dresser or inside of a bookshelf, look here.

"Book Nooks" is a lovely coffee table book. It holds stunning images of book nooks in various homes and establishments. Eye candy for the book lover! If you are looking for visual inspiration, this book is loaded with it! If you are looking for a step-by-step guide to creating a book nook of your own, this may not be the book you are looking for.

Book Nooks was a great book to see how people display their books. I liked the various categories for kids, cookbooks, etc. I like to organize by color but this also gave me ideas for small spaces.

This book is so beautiful and so inspiring. Books are a form of art.. and I love to see them displayed as such.

Each nook was styled so beautifully...

I just wish there would have been a better look at children's books/styling. Even middle grade. I have kids that have probably way too many books(if thats a thing lol) I would have loved some better, more updated inspiration for their rooms.

This book is gorgeous inside and out. It has beautiful spaces and the ideas of how to decorate each room are beyond inviting. I started dreaming of doing a self -care book room after I saw a section in this resource. The book also featured good information and tidbits from authors! That was a nice bonus. Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC.

A beautiful collection of home decor and book nooks. This is the perfect book for bookworms. This showcases all the various ways you could decorate your books around your house and the different book nooks and potential book cases you could design and have. It even includes reading lists from popular authors! This is seriously such a fun book to have and I would absolutely recommend it for bookworms!

*thanks Netgalley and Chronicle Books for sending me an arc in exchange for an honest review*

I feel like this book embodies my Pinterest dreams in a physical print.

I am an avid reader, and while I often read digitally, I make very thoughtful purchases of physical copies of my favorite books. I hadn’t found a cohesive way to display them until seeing all the inspiration on these pages!

Key takeaways that I absolutely loved and now want to use in styling (I will need a bigger house first…).

- Color coding, neutrals, rainbows and monochrome themes that blend seamlessly into decor. This book highlights numerous ways to do this across all spaces and interests.
- Using a terra cotta pot in a plant room as a paper weight to keep a book open - genius!
- I have so. many. house plants, so using books stacks as a decor and risers for potted plants is such an awesome idea that gives more personality to the space.
- Book stacks as tables, stools, etc. Love making collections functional!

I am bursting with ideas for my own home and will proudly display this book on my coffee table, seeing the styling in other people's spaces makes a world of difference.

I also loved all the book recommendations from famous authors. That was a lovely value add to the pages.

Frankly, I could stare at pictures of other people's bookshelves all day long.

That being said, a lot of the photos in this book seemed to be styled and photographed all the same way. I didn't really get the variety I was hoping for. Maybe the shelves felt too styled and less like people actually live with their books like that.

Either way, I liked the book well enough.
