A fun multi story series. It is a great way to get into the holiday season with lots of romantic stories!
This Christmas read was a pleasant surprise. I loved reading this story and was immediately drawn in by the prose. Would read again and again!
4.5 stars
Three new Christmas romance novellas? From three talented authors? You don’t have to ask me twice! Along with a cover that makes you just want to camp out right in that adorable gazebo, each story drew me in and appealed to me in ways that were distinctive from each other. In other words, this isn’t a ‘copy/paste’ collection in any way – all three stories are fresh and fun, and the authors’ unique writing voices get their individual chances to shine.
Kathleen Fuller’s Return to Mistletoe kicks things off with nostalgia, reunions, and a best friend’s brother with enough of an Irish accent (after all these years abroad) to make the word ‘lass’ sound super swoony in my imagination. I enjoyed getting to know Emmy and her daughter (loved the dynamics between them!), and Fuller made Emmy’s antiques store easy to picture, especially as they adorn it for the holidays. Everyone’s not-at-all-subtle attempts to get Emmy and the aforementioned Irish-accented Kieran alone had me chuckling even as I shook my head fondly because – turns out, they do just fine falling in love on their own, and readers will enjoy watching them do so.
If I’ve read anything by Sheila Roberts before, it’s been many years ago, so I went into Say No to Mistletoe with no preconceptions. Right away, Roberts’ heroine Hailey captured me with her witty first person POV and continued to delight me with her thoughts through the rest of the story. Hailey is a bit of a delightful hot mess, endearingly balancing her career as a romance author with her abysmal luck in picking the right guy for her own life. She blames the mistletoe, though, calling it her kryptonite, which means she’s desperate to steer clear of the pesky plant once her reunion with her high school crush turns smoochy. The chemistry between Hailey and Carwyn is strong, though, so expect some yummy kisses regardless of whether mistletoe plays a part or not.
Fans of Pepper Basham’s Edgewood family (of the Skymar novels), her small town of Ransom (also of the Mitchell’s Crossroads series), royal romance, redeemed rogues, and stories that are both heartwarming and hilarious, The Mistletoe Prince is a much-anticipated treat. I loved everything about this novella, from the ‘meet cute’ (which devolved into ‘oh dear’ romcom chaos in ways that delight me to read about but would not be fun to live in real life lol) to the perfect ending … and all the snark & swoon in between. Charlotte (aka Charlie) and Prince Arran are a banter-lover’s dream, and their mutual efforts for The Mistletoe Wish community charity touched my heart, made me grin, and even evoked a giggle or two as well. (Those reactions also are due to Basham’s gift at writing characters – and particularly children – from Appalachia.)
Bottom Line: Mistletoe Season is a fun and festive collection of Christmas romances from three talented authors – Kathleen Fuller, Sheila Roberts & Pepper Basham. I can easily see each of these stories becoming a Hallmark movie next Christmas (and I hope they do), because they’re the perfect blend of sweet, swoony, and inspirational. They also act as a wonderful introduction to either of the three authors you may not have read before, and I know I’ll be adding more of Sheila Roberts’ clean romances to my TBR list after this. Mistletoe Season put me in the holiday spirit and put a smile in my heart, and I think it will do the same for you, too.

Return to Mistletoe - 4 stars - The male character said lassie too much where it didnt feel natural but still so cute!
The Mistletoe Prince - 5 stars - so swoony - favorite quote cod fish!
Say no to Mistletoe - 3 stars - annoying characters and the shortest story which led to it feeling rushed
As a fan of Pepper Basham, I was excited to read her novella, especially since it centered around the Edgewood family. While I’m generally not a huge fan of novellas (I often find them too rushed), I decided to give this collection a try. Each story was distinct, and I appreciated the chance to discover new authors like Kathleen Fuller and Sheila Roberts. That said, the novella I struggled with the most was Return to Mistletoe by Kathleen Fuller. I didn’t feel a connection to the hero, and the story relied too much on telling instead of showing, which is a common issue with novellas. Thankfully, the other stories were more enjoyable. My favorite was The Mistletoe Prince by Pepper Basham—it really pulled at my heartstrings and was a great continuation of the Edgewood and Skymar royals. I also liked Say No to Mistletoe by Sheila Roberts, which was lighthearted and kept me entertained. The romance in all three stories develops quickly (as expected with novellas), but if you’re someone who enjoys sweet, quick holiday reads, this collection could be a nice choice.
Mistletoe Season is a compilation of 3 Christmas novellas. The first felt like it eas thrown together unfortunately. I had a hard time following along and was underwhelmed.
Pepper Bashams Misteltoe Prince, had all of the charm & romance we love and have come to expect from her books. It was fabulous and I was happy to be back with the Edgewood family! The final story was written just like a cheesy hallmark story. I enjoyed watching Hailey fall into true love.
This book was made up of three short Christmas stories.
Book one: Return to Mistletoe
I really enjoyed this one, the main characters were in their 40s which you normally don’t see. I loved the coziness of the town and shop that the FMC owns.
Book two: The Mistletoe Prince
This book was my favorite of the three. It is a continuation of the Skymar series, which I will definitely be reading next. This one gave me the Prince and Me vibes and I loved it.
Book Three: Say No to Mistletoe
I wasn’t a huge fan of this one. The beginning the FMC really focused on her weight and physical appearance, which made me not a fan from the start. I did enjoy the romance portion.

Title: Mistletoe Season
Authors: Sheila Roberts, Katherine Fuller, and Pepper Basham
Genre: Christmas Romance
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This book is a fun collection of three sweet Christmas romances! Since it’s three individual novellas, you can read all three or just pick one or two. I actually really love these shorter books for the Christmas season!
Novella 1: Return to Mistletoe by Katherine Fuller
This book features Emmy Banks who owns a bookshop and lives in the magical Christmas town of Mistletoe! How can you not dream of Christmas romance? But Emmy has been burned by relationships one too many times. When her best friend’s brother comes back home, she begins to consider opening up her heart again.
Novella 2: The Mistletoe Prince by Pepper Basham
Skymar comes to the US in the form of the dreamy Prince Arran. And Charlie always dreamed of marrying a prince. But their first meeting is…problematic—to put it nicely. Can Arran and Charlie overcome their troubling pasts for a fairytale future?
Novella 3: Say No to Mistletoe by Sheila Roberts
Hailey Fairchild has some major issues with mistletoe. It always seems to usher in another relationship mistake, so this Christmas she is done with it. But when her first mistletoe mistake reappears in her life, she considers giving love a second chance.
Overall, this collection is fun for a short Christmas read! The first and last books were not my favorite. They just lacked any sort of depth to me. But if you’re a Skymar fan, I’d say it’s totally worth getting just for Pepper’s novella!

This is a sweet compilation of novellas to get you into the holiday spirit.
My favorite story is The Mistletoe Prince by Pepper Basham. I especially loved being reunited with the Edgewood family from her Skylar series. Yet this story can easily be enjoyed as a standalone. The theme of learning to recognize one's self-worth and value as well as finding purpose in serving others is woven throughout. As with all of Ms. Basham's stories, the romantic chemistry practically sizzles off the page.
The other two stories are written by new-to-me authors. Both are heartwarming second chance romances when a main character returns to their hometown for the holidays.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author/publisher through Netgalley and was not required to write a review. All opinions expressed are my own.
This is a good book. This book has three stories. They all take place at Christmas. They each have a couple that starts dating. They each have issues but together they work it and fall in love.
Cute book with 3 short rom com in it. I enjoyed all of the stories in this book and will definitely read more from each author.
Thank you to NetGalley for allowing me to read a copy of Mistletoe Season.
A trio of 3 cute festive romance stories - Return to Mistletoe (by Kathleen Fuller), A Mistletoe Prince (By Pepper Basham), & Say No to Mistletoe (By Sheila Roberts). All stories are well written with great story lines and likeable characters. Great read to get in the mood for Christmas.
I really enjoyed all 3 of these stories! All of them had such heart and a great message. I really liked all of the characters and would love to read more stories set in each location. Highly recommend!

I loved all of the stories. Perfect for the season! It’s hard to pick a favorite, but I am a huge fan of Sheila Roberts!
These three short Christmas romance stories are heartwarming and cozy, perfect for bringing a little festive cheer into your day. They’re feel-good tales that brighten the season and remind you that love might just be around the corner.
🎅
Return to Mistletoe by Kathleen Fuller is a heartwarming second-chance Christmas romance that I absolutely loved! Emmy and Kieran, both carrying the scars of their pasts, reconnect and form a sweet, deserving love story. A perfect holiday read filled with hope, healing, and romance.
❄️
A Mistletoe Prince by Pepper Basham is a lovely Christmas romance that’s both sweet and uplifting. Charlotte, the relatable and self-doubting everyday girl, and Arran, a prince struggling to find himself after heartbreak, make a charming couple with undeniable chemistry. Their journey toward love is one you can’t help but root for.
🎁
Say No to Mistletoe by Sheila Roberts Is a charming holiday romance with a nostalgic small-town setting and a festive vibe. Hailey, a former bullied girl turned romance writer, reconnects with her high school crush Carwyn, now a sweet, family-oriented man who proves to be more than just the town heartthrob. While their chemistry is sweet, the story feels rushed, leaving little room for deeper emotional development.

Return to Mistletoe by Kathleen Fuller
Emmy never married, but she raised an adopted daughter all on her own. Now her daughter is grown, and a chance encounter with a familiar face, has her wondering if love didn't pass her by after all.
A touching tale with a sweet, sweep you off your feet romance. I found it even more enjoyable because Emmy is a woman who has never been in love, and placed raising her daughter before everything else, thinking love had passed her by. Kieran is a thoughtful man, and I liked how Emmy's daughter encourages her to take a leap of faith. Well done read!
The Mistletoe Prince by Pepper Basham
Prince Arran St. Clare is serving his penance for his wild ways, working with Luke Edgewood in North Carolina, and helping them pull together the Christmas fundraiser. While there he meets Charlotte, Luke's cousin and coworker at his contractor business, a brilliant young woman who doesn't see how wonderful she is.
A heartwarming Christmas fairy tale set in small town North Carolina, I liked the interaction between Charlotte and Arran, as well as their shared foundation of faith. A charming romance, with witty banter, redemption arc, and a heartfelt love story. A wonderful bonus to the beloved Skymar series from Pepper Basham.
Say No to Mistletoe by Sheila Roberts
Romance writer Hailey Fairchild has never had good luck with mistletoe kisses, and each one has lead to disaster. Back home for Christmas she is doing her best to avoid her first mistletoe disaster, Carwyn Davies, high school jock, now a high school principle.
A heartwarming and hilarious, first person POV rom-com, with a plucky heroine, and a dashing hero there when she needs him most. Great chemistry, and a cast of colorful characters.
Overall, a wonderful collection of heartwarming romances, sure to put you in the mood for the holiday season!

Since we're approaching to Christmas I though it was the right time to read these three short stories - and I thank the publisher for the chance to read this ARC.
Even if I the writer's style wasn't always my cup of tea, I enjoyed the reading, perfect to prepare to holiday season for sure! The winter vibes and the cheerful atmosphere they transmitted really helped.
Say No to Mistletoe was a quick, light read and it was just okay. I didn't feel like you really got to see the two fall in love it was just told that they did. I also really hated at the end when she didn't want to move back to her small town as she lives in NYC that it was like she didn't love the guy enough to give up her life which...yeah for it to work out one of they would have to, but like the way everyone was talking about it was super problematic for me.
Return to Mistletoe was really cute and I enjoyed it. Loved watching these two fall for each other and have a good holiday season.
The Mistletoe Prince I didn't read as I started it and the Prince was not for me (I am not really a royalty fan in my books)
Three novellas by three popular writers make up the entertaining MISTLETOE SEASON. Kathleen Fuller's tale is a traditional story of unrequited first love reunited years later, with a bit of an Irish twist. I liked the antique store setting (which I am suddenly finding in several books). Pepper Basham fine tunes her Cinderella-like story with lots of humor including a prince who needs to mend his ways. Kathleen Fuller tops off the trio of stories with a heroine who as a child was a shy, bookworm, but as an adult has become a successful romance writer. But as she tells it, she may write romance, but she has struck out three times beneath the mistletoe. Will this Christmas season be more successful? I think you already know that answer! This would be a great stocking stuffer or exchange gift for someone who likes clean romance stories.
The Mistletoe Season collection is delightful! All 3 stories of small-town Christmas romance are cozy, swoon-worthy, and festive. I particularly enjoyed The Mistletoe Prince by Pepper Basham, where we got a glimpse of the Edgefields of the Skymar Series for another royal romance with an Appalachian twist! It is a perfectly paced romcom in a small novella-sized package, and Arran is quite the hero material for the tomboy Charlotte! I also loved the second chance romance and Hallmark holiday vibes of Return to Mistletoe by Kathleen Fuller, and the hilarious hijinks and sweet love story in Say No to Mistletoe by Sheila Roberts! This is the perfect collection to dive into for some quick holiday reading that can make you snort laugh AND reach for the smelling salts! Don’t miss it!
I received a copy from the publisher for review purposes. My thoughts are my own. I really did love it!
