I got this as an arc on Netgalley and it will come out in January. This was exciting. Honestly. Some parts I expected. Some I did not. Definitely a butt clencher story.

One of the perks of being a book reviewer is that we get to read books a few months before they are published and I had been excited to read this one especially as I loved her debut novel "That's Not My Name". I have to admit though if there is one thing that YA thrillers have taught me, it's that A) no one is invincible as you will always get caught, and B) your friends cannot be trusted as they may be the ones you have to be worried about. If you are a fan of authors like Natasha Preston, Karen M. McManus, and Natalie D. Richards, then Megan Lally is another author who will need to be added to your list as they are all very similar. The book starts with introducing us to Brooke, her life is being made a living hell by someone as a few months earlier - a girl lost her life at one of Brooke's famous parties. The incident was covered up and made to look like an accident, but the thing is that a few people including Brooke know the real truth and someone is taunting her and wanting to reveal the truth. In No Place Left to Hide, a car ride home for Brooke turns into a deadly game of Cat and Mouse as someone is chasing her, and determined to make her pay for what happened to Claire that night. They are determined to make "Little Miss Perfect Brooke" pay and bring her and her family down a few notches as this family is normally the ones doing anything to keep the perfect untarnished image. Can Brooke survive the night and figure out the identity of who else knows the truth or will she end up cutting her life short and going out the same way Claire did? Find out this upcoming January with Megan Lally's second release "No Place Left to Hide".

I love a good mystery book. This book was a fun read. It was not too dark, and I appreciated that. Sometimes books get too dark and it is not as enjoyable. But this was a fairly light and fun book. The twists kept me engaged.

Loved the plot twist here! The ending was very satisfying. I didn’t like this quite as much as her first book but it was still an enjoyable read! I’ll definitely be keeping my eye out for her books in the future.

A super-fast-paced, high stakes YA thriller.
Brooke is a golden child, her father is a judge in the PNW, and she just got into her dream college - Yale. Her friend Jena convinces her to go to a party at their classmate Beau's house to celebrate. Brooke doesn't want to go since she has been plagued by reminders of what happened at the beginning of the school year. A tragic death that still haunts her, and someone has been trying to make her never forget. However, she gives into Jena and goes to the party... this will not be a good decision.
The story goes back and forth between the past and present, so we eventually find out what happened that tragic night several months ago. The pace of the book made it easy to read and kept me wanting to read more. A great follow up to Megan Lally's debut book last year That's Not My Name.

Excuse me but.....wtf did I just read?! I was able to tell who was involved pretty fast BUT THE CURVE BALLS in this book were fantastic! I loved That's not my name and I will always be a Megan Lally fan. No Place Left to Hide is about Brooke, a senior who has to maintain the perfect image and perfect life. There was an accident at her lake house last summer and now she is being harassed via texts, vandalism, and clues left on her car. One night she decides to go to a party and on the way home she is being followed and the night takes a dark and twisted turn. I give this 3.5 stars! I really enjoyed it! Read this if you like YA thrillers, fast paced thrillers, Pretty Little Liars, or I Know What You Did Last Summer. It's release date is January 7,2025.
Thank you #Netgalley and #SourcebooksFire for this ARC for my honest review.

As a big fan of ‘That’s Not My Name’, I was excited to hear that Megan Lally had written book number two! I went in blind on this one, hadn’t read the synopsis and really had no idea what to expect. I thoroughly enjoyed this book! As with her first book, this one is also a YA thriller. It’s a page turner full of twists and turns, and characters you’ll love to hate. 5 stars from me!

Whoa. This one left me breathless- I didn’t even realize I was holding that breath. A slow burn in the beginning, that quickly amps up in pace, anxiety and tension.
Brooke is a high school senior at the exclusive Waldorf school and is the only child in a prominent family. Brooke has been accepted by Yale, and off to celebrate with her classmates at a beach house.
Claire has always been Brooke’s nemesis. That is until Claire’s father got fired, and the family was forced to move. But a boating incident on the lake has left Claire dead.
But Brooke has been plagued by “no caller id” calls and awful pranks. But now as Brooke and her BFF drive home from the beach party the “no caller id” has just raised the stakes.
You will not be able to put this one down. Told in alternating narratives of before and now was very effective way to build the tension while also telling the backstory.
Absolutely loved this one – HIGH RECOMMEND
Thank you #NetGalley for the complimentary copy of #NoPlaceLeftToHide in exchange for an honest review.

3.5 stars.
I really enjoyed this. For onem i thought the characters were very believably teenagers. Insufferable, yes, but it made sense.
The dual time line made the story more addictive, and the even if i guessed the plot twist, i was very into it while reading.

⭐️⭐️⭐️.5/5 rounded up to 4. The first 80 pages of this book was so unbelievably slow, once you get to the part where they are being chased it’s identical to the book Run on Red. The twist at the end was absolutely crazy. Thank you NetGalley for this ebook!

When I heard that Megan Lally was releasing a new book, I dropped everything. My phone, my drink, and whatever else I was carrying hit the floor as I ran straight to request this book. You all know how obsessed I am with her first book, so you know I was hyperventilating as I tried to find this. Then I opened my email and there it was. I let out a blood curdling scream that could have woke the dead.
Let me tell you, Megan does not disappoint. If you thought her first book was shocking then you have no idea what you’re getting yourself into with this one. Holy s**t! I’m speechless. While they are both different in their own ways, they both are incredible. She certainly knows how to capture the readers attention and leave you guessing right up until the end.
Even though some of the characters are bitches, you can’t help but become obsessed with their lives and what they are up to. You also find yourself rooting for evil. It’s weird but that’s where I was. All that played a hand in the story were all wicked and wow, I’m amazed.
No Place Left to Hide was one hell of a thriller. It kept me guessing right up until the end. Then the end shocked me in ways I couldn’t believe. I think I have found a new favorite author!!

“No Place Left to Hide” could be described as “Mean girl gets her comeuppance”. It’s definitely an emotional thriller.
Perfect Brooke Goodwin: aspiring Yale attendee, student council president, dance team captain, prom committee, principal’s pet (and daughter). And haunted by something she calls “the incident. A jealous queen bee and rival named Claire drowned while at Brooke’s illicit party at the family lake house six months ago. Brooke was officially exonerated of any responsibility, but she’s been harassed for months by anonymous “No Caller ID” on the phone and continuing physical damage to her car and locker. One possible suspect is Claire’s unstable brother Brandon, but could it be someone else?
Returning from a celebratory party on the coast, Brooke and best friend Jena are being tailed by a Bronco pushing them up to super high speeds on a dark twisty, potholed road with no cell service for 40 miles. Just before they lost their phone connection, “No Caller ID” admitted in a disguised voice that he was in the Bronco and wanted Brooke to “confess” or get pushed off the road.
Brooke isn’t super likable (she’s spoiled, snobby, and bossy), but with the story told in first person POV, we get a lot of insight into her self-aware pressure-filled, high achieving world. The road rage part of the story is terrifying and exhilarating — you know Brooke might be guilty of something, but that doesn’t mean that she and Jena deserve to die in a fiery death.
There was a lot to digest as the story continued, and when everything gets so uncomfortable, it would have been easy to bail. Yet I was still engrossed until the end, although I can’t quite say I was satisfied with the conclusion. 3.5 stars.
Literary Pet Peeve Checklist:

Brooke Goodwin lives under pressure. Aspiring to get accepted to Yale has her cramming her schedule with extracurricular activities at her exclusive high school. Added to that, her parents are a principal and a powerful lawyer, who push her excellence. Remarkably enough, Brooke didn’t crumble after a party she threw at her family’s lake house. An incident there left one of her classmates dead. A mysterious person still harasses her, blaming for what happened at her party.
Friends persuade Brooke, newly cautious, to venture to the Oregon coast for another party. But this puts her under pursuit by her stalker in a massive stretch of wooded wilderness with no cell service.
While Megan Lally’s previous novel starts off with a bang, No Place Left to Hide takes a while to get rolling. It follows Brooke's story in two timelines. Despite the slow start, I grew to appreciate the setup. The story took me on a ride that will have me thinking about it long afterwards. 4 stars and definitely recommended.

This was an easy read right from the beginning! It picked up even more halfway through and kept me turning the pages quickly! I wasn't expecting the twist at the end! Thanks for the ARC Sourcebooks Fire & NetGalley!!

The back and forth between the past and the present is perfect, it builds up tension and pressure.
It's also so addicting! I read it in one day!!
it was the perfect sit down and read type of book pulling me in and making me HAVE to complete it so keep that in mind when you start reading!!

I have been ranting and raving about one of my favourite books of 2024- That’s not my name by Megan Lally. I have been so keen to read another book by this author, and Netgalley came through with the goods!
No place left to hide was a mean girls thriller, it kept me guessing and had me on the edge of my seat. I loved that this one was such a visual book, it painted such a picture in my mind because of the setting/ masks worn and I loved letting my imagination run wild. It was definitely more of a YA read than I found that’s not my name to be. Lots of high school drama and mean girl antics.
I felt it could’ve had more side characters in this one, just to make the mysteries a bit more of a guessing game.
Overall a really enjoyable read

Wow! Thank you for my copy of this book!! This is my first read from this author and I LOVED it!! Definitely left my review on goodreads, and will now be looking for more from her!!
This is supposed to be ya, but I devoured this book! I felt so sorry for the poor teen, basically being blackmailed. 😭 this was an amazing book, and it's not too far fetched, something like this could absolutely happen. The twist at the end was great! Highly recommend.

This was a great thrilling read! I read this in one sitting and was not going to stop until I got to the end! Of course, the twist had me shaking my head. This is a YA and I am not normally a fan of YA but this one had me captivated. A teen was involved in an incident at a party and was blackmailed for this! The "blackmailer" kept on and on would not give poor Brooke a break. Brooke is trying to keep all of the details of the "incident" quite so that it does not ruin her chances at college and the life her family has set out before her. If the truth was revealed it could destroy her!

I binge-read this book in one sitting and I'm still reeling! The mystery hooked me from the start, and even though I figured it out pretty early, there were so many twists and layers that kept me curious.
But here's the thing - I didn't really like any of the characters? They all seemed super self-centered and fake. And honestly, I think that's exactly what the author was going for.
The ending felt a bit rushed, leaving some loose ends. An epilogue would've been awesome but overall, this book delivered exactly what I craved. I'm still thinking about it, and that's a win in my book.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for a free ARC in exchange for an honest review!

Damn . Who would have thought. But to be fair I was low key sure about someone
I finished this book in one setting SO fast paced SO fun !!! I was both scared and intrigued and scared at the same time like you’re scared nut you wanna know what’s gonna happen at the same time I was on the end my seat scared for my life
The writing was so good the ability of the author to make the reader think the absolute opposite of what a character is actually is is INSANE , even though I wanted more of the ending but the book was so so good , and about the content there was nothing inappropriate at all besides cursing so if you are looking for a thriller with now explicit scenes or inappropriate content this is the perfect book for you
