Megan Lally has me sat and has easily turned into one of my favorite authors.
No Place Left to Hide follows Brooke Goodwin who had an incident months ago, but is determined to put it behind her and secure her future. The golden girl with a successful family and the adoration of all her classmates, nothing can change Brooke's path.
Except... maybe someone who really knows what happened that night.
We get a split narrative of 'before' and 'now' which makes the pace of this book seem like it's flying by. It leaves you desperate for the next chapter, the next thing to happen. Lally does an amazing job of writing characters true to their age and true to their personalities. We see Brooke slowly unravel the person she is throughout the book, and it truly hits you hard by the end.
I loved this book and think it's a top contender for best YA thriller by a mile. Big thank you to Netgalley and Sourcebooks Fire for the e-arc!
