I really enjoyed the first book by this author. But I don’t think I enjoyed this one as much. I liked it and it definitely kept me in suspense but it just didn’t hit like the first book.

I am really impressed with the way this author writes. I loved, loved, loved her first book. This one was different and while the characters were whoa, out there and mostly unlikeable, I enjoyed the story a lot.
Even though I did figure out early on the blackmail scheme. But while that was easy peasy, what I did not expect was the reveal when everything was out in the open. Just glad this wasn't my high school experience. I did feel sorry for Brooke though. She comes from this long line and has her future chosen for her. I can't imagine living in a family like that. Still...she was a really craopy friend.

I truly enjoy Megan Lally and the way she writes.
No Place Left to Hide is fast paced and so twisty. The moment I thought I knew; I was proven wrong. This is a dual timeline which is not my favorite as it can be confusing at times, but the author did a good job differentiating between the timelines. I found myself very intrigued by and invested in both timelines which is rare for me. Quick easy read considered a Young Adult Thriller, but still very enjoyable.

I'm conflicted.. I can't say I loved this book like Megan's first novel, but I don't hate it. Would I pick it up again for another read? No. Would I recommended it? Possibly.
The story involves high school students, high school drama, murder, and stalking. The main character is Brooke - a high school student whose life is changed after an incident occured at one of her parties. We follow Brooke as she gets threatening phone calls, slashing her car tires, and sticking newspaper clippings about the incident to her car. She goes to her first high school party in six months and on the way home, she's followed while the person following her calls her to threaten her.
Overall, some of the characters were unlikable and some of the characters changed drastically in personality from the beginning of the book. While I did enjoy the first half of the book, towards the end it felt rushed. It also seemed out of character for some of the characters to do certain things.
My rating 3.0 stars.
Thank to NG & Sourcebooks Fire for the ARC copy.

"No Place Left to Hide" is a young adult thriller novel by Megan Lally. Brooke is a senior in high school, hoping to get into Yale and to be able to leave the past behind. A year ago she was involved in an accident that killed a classmate, who happened to be a former friend and a rival of Brooke's. Brooke has mostly escaped any repercussions due to her wealthy and well placed family in town, but when she and her best friend end up being chased by a masked madman that keeps calling and texting her to come clean about the incident, there is no place left to hide.
A twisty thriller with lots of drama, this is a recommended purchase where YA thrillers are popular.

This book was soooo good. I loved the twist at the end and it was cool to see the two different perspectives of the tailgating. The ending made me hate the main character in the best way.

I thought this book was an excellent read. I couldn’t put it down and read it in less than 2 days. This is the first book I’ve read by this author but am certainly going to read whatever she writes!

3.5 stars ⭐️
Getting into your dream college is cause for a party! Brooke decides to let loose and have some fun with friends, what’s the worst that could happen? I mean it’s not as if she’s being stalked and harassed by someone, who claims they know what really happened the day of the “incident”. If the truth gets out it could ruin everything Brooke’s worked for but that’s no biggie, right?
Shoutout to NetGalley and to the publishers for giving me this ARC in exchange for my honest review!
This was a really fun and fast paced read, the dialogue was believable which I feel like can make or break a book especially Y/A. Some of the twists were pretty predictable but I still enjoyed this nonetheless!

Thank you to NetGalley for an eArc of this upcoming release and my newest binge read! I think it would be unfair to compare both of Megan Lally's books to each other, because I enjoyed them both despite all their differences. This book jumps back and forth between two timelines, one in September of Brooke and Jena's senior year, and one in the spring six months later on their college admissions results day. Both timelines kept me equally engaged, and I just wish this book was longer! I was successfully able to guess a part of one of the twists in this book, but there was so much more to unpack that I wasn't expecting. I do feel like the ending was a little rushed, and I would have even loved an epilogue after some time had passed, maybe from another character's POV. Overall this book was a hit and I think Megan Lally is going to become an auto-buy author for me!

For a YA mystery this book was quite good, and I did enjoy it. The book moves along at a decent pace, and I became quite involved in the story from the beginning. The book moves back and forward between different time periods providing background.
If you are female, I am sure we have all been in the situation where we have met mean girls in our lives and understand the detrimental affects this can have on our lives.
There were issues with pacing, but I tried to overlook this and move past it instead focusing on the plot and what was occurring between these characters.
If you after a quick and easy read this book will keep you entertained.
Thank you to Netgalley, the author and publisher for an advanced copy of the book, all opinions expressed are my own.

This book was so good! I definitely didn’t expect the plot twist! Brooke and her friends throw a party, and something terrible happens! This story is told with split timelines, but is easy to follow. Things aren’t always what they seem! I can’t wait to read more of Megan Lally’s books!! I received a free copy of this book from the author, publisher, and netgalley in exchange for my honest review.

This book was so thrilling to read and I was on the edge of my seat right up until the end reveal.
The story was told through two timelines - one describing "the incident", the other dealing with a high-octane chase - which I usually don't like but this book somehow did it justice.
My only problem was that I couldn't stand the characters, which is praise to the author since I'm pretty sure it was intentional, and therefore I wasn't too invested in them.
Thanks to NetGalley and SourceBooks Fire for this Arc.

No Place Left to Hide is a wonderful, semi short, book following a teenage girl after one of her classmates dies. Brooke is a teenager who is waiting to hear if she got into her dream college, all while dealing with mysterious threats about something that happened to her classmate Cassie and her being blamed for the death that was ruled an accident. Issues arise causing Brooke to panic about her future and what this mystery person or people think she did. Secrets will never stay buried for long!

I'm highly impressed with Megan Lally as a young adult author! This was just her second book but I was hooked. I will say that I liked her debut a little bit more, but this one had my jaw dropping. One twist, I kind of guessed but how this book turned out completely shocked me! I will say this is a lot of mean girls, revenge, teen drama so if that bothers you, I don't recommend but if you don't mind it and love a good car chase with some wild unveiling, I totally recommend!

Wow, I just finished No Place Left to Hide, and it was a fantastic read! It follows a girl named Brooke as she navigates the end of high school after dealing with some trauma, and it really digs into that mean girl mentality. I’m giving it 5 stars all the way! The character development is great—Megan Lally really knows how to make you feel for these characters.
The book is super fast-paced, and I loved every second of the journey. There are some awesome twists that kept me guessing. I can’t wait to read more from Megan Lally!

I definitely enjoyed this one. I like when an author can write characters you just cannot stand. The characters in this book were truly all just awful. It reminded me of mean girls.
I enjoyed this one- probably more than her last book. I definitely look forward to more books from Megan Lally

Never have I ever….finished a book and not been able to say I liked a single character.
Every single time I THOUGHT I was siding with a character, 2 chapters later and I found myself thinking ‘nope you probably deserve what’s happening to you’.
This story really goes to show you that you can’t hide from your mistakes, lies always catch up to you, karma is a b***h, and there is no honor amongst thieves.
Overall the non-linear timeline kept me entertained and interested enough to want to finish this story even if I hated everyone in it.
Thank you NetGalley and publishers for this ARC.

Wow, where do I even start with this one?! The book totally had me on the edge of my seat the entire time! So, you’ve got Brooke, and let me tell you, this girl is dealing with, like, way more than she signed up for. We’ve got drama, secrets, and a stalker that just won’t quit. 😱
The suspense was SO real! I mean, I couldn’t put it down—every chapter had me like, “Wait, what just happened?!” The way it flips between the past and present was super cool, and honestly, I was living for all the twists. Also, can we talk about that car chase? I was legit holding my breath. 😳
That said, the ending was a little out there for me, but, like, whatever, it was still such a fun ride! If you’re into thrillers with a lot of teen drama and juicy secrets, this one is SO your vibe.
Thanks a bunch to NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for my honest thoughts! 💖

No Place Left to Hide
By Megan Lally
After an outstanding debut novel, I am almost pained to write this review. Perhaps my expectations were a bit too high. Still, I am sure it could be a fun read for the right audience.
Stars: ★★★☆☆ (3/5)--I'm being generous
Spice: None
Format: EBook
Review: No Place Left to Hide by Megan Lally is a fast-paced YA thriller that pulls you in with its immediate intrigue and high stakes. From the very beginning, it sets the stage for an exciting, edge-of-your-seat experience. However, while the premise had promise and the pacing kept me turning the pages, it ultimately fell short in delivering the level of suspense I crave in a thriller.
The vibe of the book is something like Mean Girls meets Scooby-Doo—complete with cliques, secrets, and an underlying sense of mystery. At times, it even had me imagining a villain confessing, "I would have gotten away with it too if it hadn't been for you meddling kids!" While this dynamic added some charm and nostalgia, it also kept the suspense from reaching the darker, more chilling heights that I was hoping for.
For readers in the YA demographic, especially those who enjoy a quick-moving plot with enough mystery to keep them engaged, this book will likely hit the mark. While the conflicts between Brooke and Claire were palpable and the drama was compelling enough to maintain interest, as someone who loves a truly heart-pounding, intense thriller, I found the tension lacking. There are moments where the story could have dug deeper into the psychological or emotional suspense, but instead, it stays on the surface.
Overall, No Place Left to Hide is a decent read with strong potential, but it feels more geared toward a younger audience who may be newer to the genre. While it didn’t fully satisfy my hunger for nail-biting suspense, it might be a great pick for fans looking for an approachable, fast-paced YA thriller with a dash of high school drama and Scooby-Doo vibes.
Favorites Moments: My favorite part was the message thread shared at the end of the book…lol…kids…amiright?!?!?!
Recommend (Yes/No/Maybe): Sure why not….if you are looking for a grown-up thriller--this is not it. If you are looking for a YA--feels like all the high school vibes--YES!
Thank you to NetGalley and SOURCEBOOKS Fire for allowing me the opportunity to review the title.

I was a HUGE fan of that’s not my name by this author and so excited to read this book. Unfortunately I found it a bit predictable but it was a good read none the less. I look forward to more from this author. Solid 3.5 for me.
