Brooke Goodwin has it all. She’s popular, involved in all the activities, and daughter of a prominent lawyer, her dad working towards a judge position. But one of her high school parties goes wrong and her ex best friend Claire winds up dead in a boating accident. She’s on thin ice with her parents, they don’t want their prominent name drug through the mud and then the anonymous calls start. Brooke is being harassed by an unknown caller. Never speaking, just breathing and endless calls. Brooke is just counting down the days til she can head off to Yale. But can she outrun the incident?
This was a fast paced psychological thriller alternating from the night of the incident to present day as Brooke is trying to outrun her secrets. The author did a great job keeping me on the edge of my seat trying to figure out what happened at that fateful party.

Wow! This book was excellent. The major swings in plot throughout the book kept me very entertained.

No Place Left to Hide was a fast paced thriller that had me intrigued. The way certain scenes were described had my heart racing and I felt panicked alongside with the characters. If this were a movie, you bet that I’d be on the edge of my seat screaming at the TV.

One thing that Megan Lally did really well in this book was creating characters who were extremely unlikeable, but were meant to be unlikeable. I think it’s a special art when an author can develop characters who get under your skin.

For me, the predictably of the plot twist bumped down my overall rating for this book. I thought it was an interesting idea, but the fact that I picked it so early on ruined that thriller and mystery feel that I want right until the last page.

No Place Left to Hide is a YA Thriller that keeps you second guessing who the real psycho-path is. A group of 5 friends turns into 4 after a tragic death happens at a party, but someone has to take the blame. How far are they willing to go to find out the truth?

4,.5/5 ⭐️ I read this book in one sitting. It was so suspenseful and the story had me guessing from the first page. I really couldn’t put it down. Normally I think that the changes between past and present tend to disturb the plot but in this book both parts were equally tensive. I did see the plot twist coming but I really enjoyed this book ☺️

4.75 stars! Face paced. Totally captivating. Heart stopping.

This is definitely an action packed read. If you like Megan Lally’s last novel, That’s Not My Name, buckle up for the ride of Brooke’s life (literally). I completely devoured this book over the span of two nights. I stayed up super late last night because I absolutely could not put it down. This thriller is nonstop suspense and jaw dropping twists and turns. As someone who reads a lot, I find a lot of thriller/suspense plots pretty easy to figure out but this one… DUDE THIS ONE! From beginning to end, I had no idea what was going to come next. I felt every moment of moment and seized breath that Brooke did in this story. I have found that YA thriller/suspense books are more enjoyable for me than traditional adult ones.

100% recommend this book to readers who want to dip their toes into thriller books and seasoned readers alike! I took a tiny bit off of my rating because I felt like the ending wrapped up a bit too abruptly and left me a lot of unanswered questions. However, the overall conclusion was satisfying. Thank you to Netgalley and Sourcebooks Fire for this arc.

To start off: it wasn’t a bad book, but I did not like it, like I thought I would… and honesty, I do not think I am the target audience. If I had been younger I would have probably devoured it.
Because of this: I didn’t want to give feedback at first - but I will be as honest as I can.

1) The characters were all awful people. Especially the main character was an entitled brat in my opinion. The holier than thou mindset- I was not rooting for her.
I could not care about any of them and because of the characters, If this wasn’t a ARC, I would have DNF’d the book.

2) The plot itself is still enticing, while still a little predictable. The writing style is nice and easy to read and she has a fun way of working the story.
It’s a well written high school revenge story. Like I said I was rooting for the other team.

Overall a solid book, just not my cup of tea.

Megan Lally did it again!! I read That’s Not My Name & I HAD to read another one of Megan’s books ASAP, so when I saw she was releasing No Place Left to Hide I could not wait to read it. I’m so appreciative that I was able to read an ARC of yet another amazing book. Like I say about all the books I read I love trying to predict the outcome and when I tell you the gasp that escaped my mouth at the ending of this book was so loud I’m not even joking BECAUSE NO WAY was that the ending I was expecting. Amazing job Megan, I look forward to reading more books by you!!!!!

Fast-paced, break-neck plot speed makes for a quick read.

I liked the back and forth - giving us the previous story along with the current. I liked getting to know the characters in both the past and the present and pulling everything together. But what a pile of unlikable characters. I definitely found the plot stretched what I thought was realistic, however, the story definitely did deliver an entertaining and frustrating read!

A huge thank you to the author and publisher for providing an e-ARC via Netgalley. This does not affect my opinion regarding the book.

No Place Left to Hide : Megan Lally ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (I would give it more stars if I could

I was so excited to be approved for Megan Lally's second novel.! This is the kind of book you can devour in 2 sittings, maybe one. I don't normally enjoy YA but I happily made an exception and I was not disappointed.

Senior Brooke is laying low after an "incident" at her party. She's finally been accepted to the university of her dreams so she decides to celebrate after a long party hiatus. The boy she has fawned over for years will be attending so theres no way she'll miss it. All the while Brook is getting threatening texts and even had her tires slashed. Now on her way home she is being tailgated home and there is no place left to hide until she admits "the truth"

(Spoiler: I love the unreliable narrator aspect of this book. I was COMPLETELY SHOOOK,)

No place left to Hide by Megan Lally

I just have to shout out to that dedication page! Hilarious and I loved diving right in to this! Megan Lally, well done!

This book was an insanely addictive read, flipping pages furiously like a crazy person to see what happened next.

Brooke Goodwin has her sights set on Yale, with her father being a local judge and failure not bringing Goodwin name down, Brooke has the ultimate expectations set to not mess up, however her past has been creeping behind her when someone dies at her lake house. The incident is threatening to rear its ugly head as she has tried to moved past it. As she has worked to leave the past behind someone is following her around to make her never forget.

This was a fantastic read! I loved the fast paced story line and an awful villian agenda! What a crazy good book! Loved it!

Thank you NetGalley and Sourcebooks for this ARC!

I want to say thank you to NetGalley for this ARC!

What can I say? Megan did it again! I was in full suspense with this book. I loved the pacing, the mystery, and the thrills. The whole premise was super interesting too. I was delighted with the ending. I honestly had a pure hatred for the main character. Megan wrote this book well. Please buy it when it is released in 2025!

Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC of this title so I could provide an honest review.

Think Mean Girls but with a thriller twist. As Brooke continues to work towards her lofty goals of Yale after high school, she is haunted by something that happened in her past. The story of three girls and their friendship ends up with them dealing with a death mixed with questionable morals and of course, boys. I read this book quickly because I needed to get to the bottom of who knew what and who my compassion would fall towards. I struggled with who I sided with page by page. What decisions would you make to keep your secrets safe and what happens when there is No Place to Hide?

I'm a HUGE fan of Lally's debut book I actually made it a traveling book in my book club) , but No Place Left to Hide fell very short in comparison. The biggest hurdle was the inconsistent pacing - I just couldn't get over it. The conclusion felt extremely rushed but the beginning of the story moved slowly. The characters were not likable or relatable. There is a part that's bugging me but I don't want to spoil anything. The twist at the end was semi-redeeming. This was my most anticipated upcoming read and sadly I'm walking away disappointed. It hurts to give this less than 3 stars but it earned a solid 2. Thank you to NetGalley for offering this title in their catalog. The opinions expressed above are entirely my own.

Megan Lally's No Where Left to Hide is a gripping story about survival and the challenges of facing danger. The main character is relatable and well-developed, making her struggles feel real and engaging.
Megan's writing pulls you in, balancing suspense with moments of self-reflection. The pacing is just right—there are plenty of twists and turns to keep you hooked. Each character adds something unique to the story, creating a rich backdrop for the main plot.
Overall, No Where Left to Hide is a thrilling read that combines excitement with deeper themes about trust and resilience. It’s a great choice for fans of psychological thrillers, and I can't wait to see what Megan writes next.

I really enjoyed the audio of Megan Lally's last book. So, I was really excited when I got approved for this ARC! It didn't disappoint. While I did figure out some of the twists and turns, it was still a really fun ride!

I was really excited to get approved for this on Netgalley after Megan Lally's first book was a five star. Unfortunately this one felt a lot more generic to me - I found the characters to be so annoying and unlikeable that I didn't really care what happened, and most of the twists were pretty predictable. However it did keep my attention and it was a great example of slowly revealing more of a character until by the end they are virtually unrecognisable from the start.

*I was kindly gifted this ARC through Net Galley*

3.75/5
I really liked this story, I couldn't put this book down!
The dual timeline was really interesting and it added a layer of intrigue, allowing me to piece together the puzzle as the book bounced between past and present.
Even though I managed to guess part of the plot twist, it didn't diminish my enjoyment. The characters are well-developed, and their motivations add depth to the story, keeping you invested until the very last page.

Ahhhhhhhh!!! I read Megan Lally's debut earlier this year, That's Not My Name, and it was a "one sitting" read. I WISH I was able to read this book in one sitting.

The back and forth of the timelines was done so well, and I love a good unreliable character (who do you think it is???)

Highly recommend pre-ordering this book, or picking it up once it's published in January 2025.

Thank you Sourcebooks Fire for the eARC through Netgalley!
