In 2 Sisters Detective Murder Investigations, 2 half sisters inherit a detective agency which had been run by their mutual father, recently deceased. Although separated by 20 years of life experiences and maturity, the two sisters pursue this joint venture. Seemingly going in opposite directions to achieve the same goal, they continue to work together. Their principal client is accused of murdering his well known and popular wife who is missing and cannot be found in spite of extensive efforts. The characters are well defined, and the story is well paced with many twists and turns throughout.

Patterson’s latest book is a pretty average read. There’s no way a 16-year-old would act like the main character. It’s a quick read that’s somewhat entertaining, but it won’t lift you out of a reading slump.
Thanks to NetGally for the advance copy.

Although Rhonda and Baby Bird are half-sisters who function as complete opposites, nobody would predict that they would jointly manage a detective agency. The former attorney, Rhonda, sticks to regulations, whereas the teenage Baby depends on her instinctive street knowledge. The investigation into the missing wife leads them into dangerous accusations and triggers explosive sibling rivalry.
The sisters' chemistry and ongoing arguments make them the standout elements of the show. The book shines brightest in its depiction of character development.
Patterson and Fox provide thrilling action alongside witty dialogue in their fast-paced storytelling.
These flawed yet powerful female protagonists will earn your support as they challenge institutional power while battling one another.
The mystery kept me entertained but failed to deliver the surprising twists that I have come to expect from Patterson's works.
The book struggles to combine Baby's impulsive teenage behavior with the elements of serious crime into a coherent tone.
This book provides a binge-worthy experience featuring an exceptional partnership, but it doesn't stand out as my preferred joint work by Patterson. Fans of Women's Murder Club who like their mysteries with a bold edge should check it out!
Thank you to James Patterson the author, Little, Brown & Co. and NetGalley provided me with an advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.

2 Sisters Murder Investigations will have you holding your breath and turning the pages as fast as you can.
Rhonda and Baby attract trouble like no tomorrow and when they take on the case of a missing woman where the husband is the suspect and to top it off Baby does her own thing by helping out an elderly man Arthur ( I loved him ) who's life is in danger as he wont sell out to a major conglomerate.
The sisters are a duo to be reckoned with . I laughed with them, I cried with them , I cheered them on, admired their audacity and most of all their determination.
I would hire these 2 in a heartbeat.
James Patterson and Candice Fox are also a force to be reckoned with and once again take the reader on a fast paced nerve wracking read that simply flies by.
I cant wait to see what The Bird Sisters next adventure or misadventure will be .
Thanks to NetGalley and Little, Brown and Company for the privilege of reading and reviewing this fantastic series 2 Sisters Detective Agency.

two new characters to join the patterson club are brought together they couldn't be more opposite but that is what makes this such a fun read. looking forward to seeing where these 2 go

When I first started this book I didn’t know what to expect. I mean I went in thinking maybe a little of Women's murder club and Cross with some Confession with Tandy.
Reading this book went really fast, it had me guessing. I kept thinking wait is Troy really that stupid and a killer? Did he kill his own wife? When Troy turns to Rhonda and Baby for help they were not expecting to keep watch for themselves. But when the media and everyone comes at them about Troy's missing wife.
They don't know what to think. Then Troy hands Rhonda something that makes the case really twisted.
Meanwhile Baby being 16 wants to prove to her big sister that she can handle things on her own. Takes on a case in secret and its even bigger then maybe she can handle.
Then we have Dave who is a police officer who tries to do the right thing and give hints about the case because they dated for a bit. These cases and the storylines are very intriguing. Makes you wonder about Troy and his wife what were they hiding? Baby's case with Arthur you know early on what is going on but then when you find out more, its like wow holy crap.
Im looking forward to reading another book with these two sisters. So hopefully we get another book.

2 Sisters Murder Investigations by James Patterson and Candice Fox is a good way to catch up with how the 2 Sisters are proceeding. These women are growing in their business and in their new lives together as they work on solving intriguing cases.

I simply couldn’t relate to the sisters. Generally, I’m a huge Patterson fan, but this was the exception. I suspect it is because I didn’t read Book 1 in the series which left me lost.
I eagerly look forward to more Patterson novels.
Thank you Netgalley for giving me the opportunity to read and review this novel.

Thank you to NetGalley Little, Brown and Company and James Patterson. The Bird sisters - Rhonda and Barbara "Baby" have been approached by a man that the world thinks guilty of his wife's murder. They are on the case and have to prove if he is innocent before the court does. I was approved for this book before I knew it was book 2. Did it matter? No! Really like this new series by James Patterson! #2SistersMurderInvestigations #JamesPatterson #CandiceFox #LittleBrownandCompany

Thank you Little, Brown and Company for the ARC!
What a fun mystery! This series started off great and it continues to be so in this second installment of the 2 Sisters Detective Agency series.
What I am loving most about these books, especially with this book, is that it is very character driven. Don’t get me wrong, the plot be plottin, but the characters and their layers that we get to see unfold has been what’s captivating me the most. Patterson and Fox have done a great job writing 2 characters that you love to root for in all their complexity. They’re intriguing, badass and just all around fantastic main characters! I am LOVING this series and can’t wait to see what comes next!

Rhonda and Baby are two of the most hilarious investigators I have ever met! And we love them.
As good sisters, they agree on nothing. Nothing. Rhonda is a lawyer who solves things in a cop procedural way. Baby goes with her gut. And her street smarts.
But this new case is a bit controversial. An odd man’s wife has gone missing. And they are struggling, and not just with each other!
WE needed another dynamic dua after the Women’s Murder Club and we definitely got one!

Patterson have and Fox have teamed up before for the Bill Robinson series and the Detective Harriet Blue series. With the 2 Sisters Detective Agency series, they have another hit on their hands.
In this book, which is book 2 of the series (and you should always read series in order), Rhonda and Baby are still running their late father's detective agency. Since Rhonda was a lawyer, she likes to solve the cases in a by-the-book manner. Baby, on the other hand, operates more on street smarts. When the sisters take on a controversial case regarding a missing wife, they are unsure if their client, the husband, is a murderer.
This book utilizes Patterson's famed short chapters, making this one a quick and exciting read. I enjoyed the banter between the sisters (because what sisters wouldn't bicker on occasion, especially when working together?). Rhonda wants to protect her little sister and Baby is ready to take charge. Can these two sisters work together to prove (or disprove) their client's innocence? There were enough twists and turns in this book to keep me guessing until the very end.
I am looking forward to book 3 of this series and would recommend this series to anyone who enjoys a fast-paced, witty banter-filled, twisty-turny mystery.
I received a gifted copy from Little Brown in exchange for an honest review.

The tongue-in cheek humor in this book definitely kept me interested and engaged, but what I really enjoyed were the investigative techniques of Rhonda and Barbara (Baby) Bird. Beginning with saving a dog and quickly moving on to investigating multiple murders, this duo is non-stoppable and hilariously competent, even though I kept expecting them to bite off more than they could chew and end up defeated. Rhonda is an attorney who tries to follow the rules, but she is not above bending them a little when she needs to. Baby is intuitive and uses her intuition to find an underdog to champion and protects him even at the possible cost of danger to herself. Rhonda thinks one of her primary missions in life is to protect her half-sister. Baby thinks her real mission in life is to declare her independence and show Rhonda that she is a force to be reckoned with. The action is fast-paced and the characters are lovable, relatable and fun to read about. There are several twists and surprises along the way to the end, making this novel even more enjoyable and absorbing.

The Bird sisters are back and BETTER than ever!
2 Sisters Murder Investigations is the second book in the Sisters Detective Agency Mystery.
It's been 4 years since the first book, 2 Sisters Murder Investigations.
The sisters could not be more different. The book picks up 6 months after the last book ended.
There are two different cases that the sisters are working on, and the action is exciting.
I loved the mystery and the sisters' characters are so well developed.
I love the short, smart chapters, kept me reading until the exciting ending.
Highly recommend!

A great continuation of this series! The Bird sisters are a lot of fun and this made for a quick and enjoyable read. Fox and Patterson have done it again! Many thanks to the publisher and netgalley for this early copy for read and review

I absolutely love this duo! Rhonda and Barbara “Baby” Bird are half sisters, but they bicker and banter like full blooded siblings. Baby’s attitude had me cracking up, and I loved how I could jump into this as a standalone while still getting a solid backstory on them.
The two cases they worked on were completely different but equally gripping, both putting them up against some seriously dangerous criminals. Rhonda is an absolute force. I wouldn’t want anyone else on my team. The twists and turns in her case had me hooked, trying to figure out who the predator was. Meanwhile, Baby’s case was just as intense, and she proved she can more than hold her own.
I can’t wait to see where their next case takes them!

Everyone needs a Rhonda and Baby in their life—someone who will stick by you and fight for you, even when everyone else has given up. I had so much fun reading 2 Sisters Murder Investigations by James Patterson and Candice Fox! This book was surprising, funny, and heartfelt at times, especially when it came to the bond between these two sisters.
For readers who love character-driven stories, this one is for us. The character development is outstanding. I absolutely loved seeing the sisters' resilience and stubbornness as they fought both for and against each other. I hate to pick favorites, but Baby completely stole my heart! She perfectly embodies the idea of a "ride-or-die" sibling bond. I adored how she always had her sister's back while fiercely defending everyone else.
For mystery fans, the plot is engaging and complex, keeping you flipping the pages as you try to piece together the clues. But honestly, what stood out to me most were the memorable quotes and moments scattered throughout the story—like the scene where someone comes to serve a search warrant (one of my absolute favorites!). And that oh-so-sweet ending, which teases more stories to come, left me smiling.
If you're looking for a comparison, I’d say this novel feels like a mix of the Stephanie Plum or Tracy Richards series, but with a stronger focus on sisterly bonds and layered mysteries. It's tons of fun!
