So Into You by Kathleen Fuller is like watching your favorite soft, awkward art girl accidentally fall for the hot reformed party boy and realizing you would absolutely die for both of them. Britt is a retro-loving, introverted art vlogger with social anxiety so intense it deserves its own billing in the credits. Hunter is a former rich kid disaster now trying really hard to be a better person, emphasis on trying. Neither of them really expects to connect, and yet somehow an innocent little message about paintbrushes turns into late-night chats and a friendship so sweet it could give you cavities.
Their chemistry crackles even through the awkward moments, and trust me, there are so many deliciously awkward moments. Watching Britt try to navigate life beyond her safe little bubble is as heartbreaking as it is hilarious, especially when she’s faced with someone like Hunter, who has messed up enough times to finally understand what it means to start over. The yacht rock references alone could have carried this story but thankfully we also get art lessons, emotional vulnerability, and some seriously swoony scenes where you realize oh no, feelings have entered the group chat.
Of course both of them are hiding big messy secrets because nobody in a good romance just says what they feel like a normal person. When it all blows up in spectacular fashion, you find yourself yelling at your headphones because honestly these two deserve to be happy and also maybe own a quirky little gallery together and blast Hall & Oates forever.
So Into You is cozy, charming, a little angsty, and weirdly inspiring for anyone who has ever felt like they might be a little too weird, too broken, or too much. It reminds you that sometimes the right person doesn’t want you to change a thing, they just want to dance awkwardly beside you to some terrible seventies soft rock.
Five stars, three yacht rock playlists, and an emotional support paintbrush.

This book was so good! I absolutely loved it! Britt is a social media artist who lives with her divorced mom. Hunter is a ‘bad boy’ who drives a motorcycle and is changing his life away from that stereotype. The two meet through her channel, but when they meet in person they form a deal. He’ll help her overcome her social anxiety and in turn she will teach him art. We also follow Britt’s mom as she gives love a second chance. I thought this book was so delightful. I loved how the author incorporated mental illness in a way that was real and enlightening. While I’ve heard criticism for her getting better for him, I do not agree. I believe he helped her but ultimately she chose to get better for herself. The author did an amazing job writing this book! It was a sweet romance with a great plot and attraction between characters! I will be telling everyone about this book! I received a digital copy of this book from NetGalley in trade for my honest opinion. My thoughts are my own.

Thank you to NetGalley, the author, and the publisher for letting me review this book.
The story didn't resonate with me as I had expected, but I would recommend it to anyone looking for an opposites attract romance.

So Into You: A clean, opposites-attract romance featuring a former bad boy and reclusive artist by Kathleen Fuller is a unique novel. I loved the themes of redemption in this novel. I thought the author’s portrayal of a woman with severe social anxiety was really interesting. The mother and daughter characters in this book had a lot in common in the end. I think readers will enjoy this book. The audiobook stood out with excellent narration. I received a digital copy of this book from the publisher with no obligations. These opinions are entirely my own.

I enjoyed this contemporary romance. Being interested in art, that angle drew my attention, pun intended. The protagonists, Britt and Hunter, helped each other navigate their individual personal issues, her being social anxiety, and his being less than in the eyes of his parents due to bad choices he made in the past. Both seem to be stuck, and at a standstill, in their lives until they meet online. Their journey is one of working through their issues and secrets, and to finding their true selves once again.

This book was not for me. I did listen to the entire book to give it a chance, but it was sort-of religious and I’m super not religious and it wasn’t described as a “Christian” romance, so I was a bit taken aback by that aspect. The book itself was quite predictable and a closed-door romance, with a never-been-kissed 28 year old FMC. I found this to be quite odd, but whatever. The book follows a very obvious script where all the people mentioned come together and are somehow surprised to all be entwined. So bleh. I won’t be reading more by this author, but I gave her a try.

Rating: 4 stars!
Can it still be considered a love triangle if all the sides of the triangle are in completely different relationships, but are all interconnected in some way? Just asking.. The Britt and Hunter dynamic is adorable. The socially awkward, anxiety riddled art girl who starts to fall for the former bad boy turned golden retriever? The only reason this book lost a star for me was because the author kept making a point of saying how not-super-attractive Britt was.. Why did that matter?

Kathleen Fuller delivers a charming and heartfelt romance in So Into You, a story that blends small-town warmth, second chances, and just the right amount of emotional depth. From the moment I started reading, I was pulled into Maple Falls—a town so vividly written it felt like I was strolling through its cozy streets, eavesdropping on the locals.
The story follows Charlotte, who is determined to prove herself after past mistakes, and Wyatt, the once-best-friend-turned-love-interest who can’t seem to forget the girl who stole his heart. Their chemistry is a slow burn, filled with tender moments, misunderstandings, and an undeniable pull that makes you root for them every step of the way. Fuller masterfully crafts characters who feel real—flawed yet lovable, struggling with past wounds while trying to forge a future.
What I truly appreciated was the balance between romance and personal growth. This isn’t just a love story; it’s about redemption, trust, and finding where you truly belong. Charlotte and Wyatt’s journey is both frustrating and beautiful, with just the right mix of tension and swoon-worthy moments. And let’s not forget the delightful side characters who add humor and depth to the story!
If you love small-town romance with heart, meaningful character arcs, and a story that leaves you smiling, So Into You is a must-read. It’s a book that reminds you that sometimes, love deserves a second chance. 💕

I enjoyed this novel! I think Hunter and Britt were cute! I liked seeing how they grew on their own and together and it is always inspiring to watch someone not only become confident in who they are but also become their best selves. The side characters were fun and added a cute element to the story.
Thank you Net Galley, Thomas Nelson Publishing and Kathleen Fuller for the advanced copy to listen to.

"So Into You" is an opposites-attract romance about confidence, forgiveness, and healing.
Horribly shy Britt is an influencer who films art tutorials. If she doesn't have to leave home, she doesn't.
Reformed partier Hunter is working hard, staying sober, and hoping to fly under the radar as long as possible. After drawing too much attention to himself in his younger years, now all he wants to do is live a quiet life.
But when an algorithm somewhere suggests one of Britt's tutorials when he's having a hard time sleeping one night, he finds himself drawn in by the cute star of the show.
When they eventually meet, they each have things they hide from the other and of course that only leads to problems later on. Ultimately, the question they must each answer is, are they better apart or together?
Overall, I enjoyed the story and hoping that each of the main characters would have what it takes to overcome what was holding them back. There were fun secondary characters as well (Maude was a hoot!), and a lot of growth and learning all the way around, not to mention an HEA or two.
Thank you to Kathleen Fuller, the publisher, and NetGalley for an advance review copy.

It was nice to see a character not just with anxiety, but specifically social anxiety! It's a representation you don't see very often. I feel the portrayal could have delved way deeper, exploring more aspects beyond just feeling anxious around people, but there were definitely moments that resonated.
The romance itself didn’t spark overwhelming chemistry for me, but I thought Hunter was a great love interest for Britt. Their dynamic was really cute, with Hunter offering to help Britt with her anxiety in exchange for art lessons. Hunter’s backstory as a recovered alcoholic with a prison record added real depth to his character too, especially in how it mirrored the life of Britt's father.
An unexpected yet welcomed surprise was the perspective of Britt’s mother. At first, I wasn’t sure why it was included, but as the connections between characters and conflicts unfolded, I loved how it all tied together. It was clever! And the overarching theme of forgiveness and personal growth was really lovely!
(heat level: kissing only)

⭐️⭐️⭐️ Liked it, fun while I was reading it
This is a fun slow burn romance with quirky characters and a charming dual POV structure. I liked the themes, namely second chances, growth, and anxiety, but being slow burn, the book does get too slow in places.
The narrator, Melissa Moran, did a good job, I had no trouble understanding who was saying what, where, when, and with what expression/intension.
Thank you to HarperCollins Christian Publishing, NetGalley, and author Kathleen Fuller for providing me with a digital ARC copy of this audiobook in exchange for an honest review. So Into You is out December 3, 2024.

The story is promising, but the content is very boring. It seems that the characters do not advance for a relatively short romance. The second part gets better, but it's no more interesting or dynamic than other stories I've read. It took me to much time to finish the novella.

I had the opportunity to listen to the audiobook of this novel. The novel centres around 28 year old Britt who lives with her mom, teaches art online, and struggles with social anxiety. When Hunter Pickett discovers Britt's art class online and contacts her through her blog, the reader gets to watch as both characters challenge themselves in new ways and slowly fall in love. In an interesting twist, the novel also follows Britt's mom Amy and Britt's dad Daniel who divorced 20 year ago and have had very little contact since that time. When Daniel reaches out to Britt without Amy's knowledge and comes back into the lives of the women with his heart still set on Amy, both women's lives are affected.
I loved the idea of this book and though that it started out strong, I found myself getting bored by both stories and wonder if the focus was more on one if that might have kept my attention. I also found the inner dialogue of Britt and Amy at times insufferable and had difficulty not skimming some sections. The mental health representation in this novel was well done and it was evident that care was taken with the subject matter.
Even though the book fell flat for me, I enjoyed the narration of this novel. The pacing was great, I enjoyed the narrator's acting of the characters and I credit the narrator's engaging depiction of the prose for getting me through the entirety of the novel.
Many thanks to the publishers who supplied me with an early listeners copy of this book via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.
3 Stars

So Into You by Kathleen Fuller is a charming and heartfelt romance that explores the unexpected connection between two unlikely people—an introverted art vlogger and a reformed party boy. Britt Branch, an art teacher with a flair for the '70s and a love for teaching online, struggles with severe social anxiety. Her life revolves around her cozy home and her online community, but when her best friend announces her wedding, Britt realizes it’s time for change.
Enter Hunter Pickett, the handsome but aimless third son of a wealthy family, who has spent years hiding behind a facade of partying and rebellion. Now sober, Hunter is still trying to find his purpose when he stumbles upon Britt's art channel. Initially uninterested in art, he becomes intrigued by Britt's unique style and they strike up an online friendship that soon evolves into something more.
Fuller does a wonderful job of building the chemistry between Britt and Hunter as they teach each other valuable lessons—Britt helps Hunter find his confidence, while Hunter encourages Britt to step out of her comfort zone. Both characters are beautifully layered, each carrying personal baggage and secrets that will challenge their growing relationship.
So Into You is a sweet, feel-good read about overcoming personal hurdles, finding love in unexpected places, and learning to embrace who you really are. Full of heart and charm, this book is perfect for readers who enjoy stories about self-discovery, second chances, and romance between opposites.

Thank you NetGalley and Harper Collin’s Christian Publishing for the ARC of this audiobook for my honest review
This will be a favorite romance 100%, I loved it. For one I understand the anxiety from the fmc, so it felt relatable. The mmc was definitely a well created choice for the fmc and wasn’t unrealistic but was definitely perfect for her. And the third act was so interesting. The not communicating/listening did make a little play which I usually hate buttt one of the other characters fixed that up by pointing out that maybe she should listen to what he has to say. I just really enjoyed both the romances , and i recommend !

This is a perfect fit for readers who adore heartwarming, slow-burn romances that explore themes of self-discovery, overcoming anxiety, and the transformative power of true love, with a dash of 70s nostalgia and a healthy dose of humor.

This was the perfect romance!
I listened to it so fast because I needed to know what was coming next.
Perfect ❤️

This book took me a long while to make my way through. The audio performance was excellent. The plot just moved very slowly. While I understand that the main character has extreme social anxiety, this listened like a YA character and not a woman in her thirties. There were elements I did enjoy, but I felt like the culmination took a lot longer than it needed to.

Thank you NetGalley for this audiobook.
I was interested in seeing how the FMC would try to overcome her social anxiety in the book and how the MMC would redeem himself in the eyes of his family and both kinda left me ... bored? Three stars.
