Description

Opposites attract when an introverted vlogger and a reformed party boy exchange lessons on art, confidence, and yacht rock.

Artist Britt Branch has a successful online channel where she teaches a variety of art lessons. Obsessed with the 1970s, she has a style all her own. But she also has a huge problem--severe social anxiety. She lives with her mom, and while she pays her own bills, she wonders if she'll ever have the courage to move out and move on. When her best friend announces she's getting married, Britt decides it's time to make a change.

Gorgeous Hunter Pickett has always skated by on his model looks, applying very little effort to anything except sports, and even that was iffy at times. The third son of extremely wealthy and successful parents, he dealt with being the black sheep of the family by drinking and using drugs. By his third year of sobriety, he's still dealing with aimlessness. Late one night he catches Britt's channel and ends up watching her videos. He's not interested in art . . . at first. And when he sends her an online message, he's surprised she responds. Before long they are chatting every day, and once they start meeting in person, a spark-filled friendship begins.

But both of them are keeping secrets. Big ones. When all truths are revealed in one pivotal moment, Britt and Hunter are at a crossroads. Will he fight for the happiness he's worked so hard to obtain? And will she continue to hide from life, or can she finally step out of her own shadow?

Melissa Moran was the perfect choice of narration for this book. She has a nice voice & kept pace of the story perfectly.
Kathleen Fuller does it again!! Who knew that one of my favorite Amish Fiction authors could cross over into contemporary romance flawlessly?? I'm here for it.
Social Anxiety. I have it -- but nowhere near the level of Britt's. Finding a partner who can not only can help you through your hardships, but that is willing to stand by your side through it, is a remarkable feeling.
I have already recommended this book to others -- I know they will love it as much as I had!

A FMC with social anxiety and a MMC in recovery? Yep, this was a good one! I loved how this story all came together. The build up to that party was...UGH!!!! You knew it was coming but you just had to hold on and get there. I loved all the representations in this book. It's listed as a Christian book but I don't honestly see it, it's definitely a closed door romance with zero spice but I didn't get the Christian aspect of it. Just in case that's what would turn you off from this book, don't let it.

Thank you to NetGalley, HarperCollins Christian Publishing, and the author for the opportunity to listen to and review this story.

So Into You is a good clean read! I loved the character development for all of the characters featured in the book as well as how intertwined all of the characters were.

The beginning was a bit slow for me, but as it picked up, I couldn’t put the book down! Highly recommend!

"So Into You" is a book about romantic relationships, second chances, family relationships and has EXCELLENT mental health rep!! I did not expect this to be a 5-star read, but it was! I listened to it on audio and loved the narration too. There are many characters in this book but the author does an excellent job of developing them so it's easy to keep track and fall in love with all of them. This book is also 100% clean so you can recommend this to a friend, family member or your teenage daughter. *I received a complimentary audio ARC from the author/publishing company via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts & opinions are my own.

Britt is a successful artist on YouTube, but her social anxiety holds her back from so much in real life. Hunter has a bad boy history, but finds peace in her presence. Together, they find the rewards of taking risks and not allowing their pasts to dictate their future.

I loved this book! Britt and Hunter’s opposites-attract story is so heartfelt and real. Their journey of helping each other grow is sweet, funny, and emotional. It is also deeply moving as they navigate significant issues such as anxiety, recovery from addiction, and self-improvement.

The narration was amazing—it felt like I was listening to a reality TV show, full of drama and charm.

I LOVED this audiobook! Unique personalities, including social anxiety, people with a record, artists, a teacher, and hippies ;). Four point of views, two men , two women. Young and old. Divorced parents. All keeping a secret to shield each other and/or avoid facing the truth. Everything collides at a fancy party. The build up is more than great as I fidgetted not able to listen yet not being able to the inevitable. The best by Kathleen Fuller. Full of humor, love, forgiveness, and grace. Excellent narrator!

The plot, character development, world building, narration, and storyline were all excellent. I would strongly advise reading it if you're searching for a clean romance and don't mind a lot of point of view and side stories. Otherwise, you might not enjoy it. From start to finish, this story held my attention! I loved spices more than anything else!

While I know Kathleen Fuller more from her books that feature the Amish, I've also been impressed with her contemporary romance stories. Her characters are always unique, with issues that love is finally able to cover. So Into You brings together Britt Branch and Hunter Pickett in a way that only God could orchestrate.

Britt has a successful YouTube channel, where she teaches all kinds of art from drawing to sculpture to painting. She is confident behind her camera, but she has one BIG problem. Her severe social anxiety has made going out in public nearly impossible. She still attends church with her mother and goes to K & B Art Supply (on Mondays when no one else is there) but just thinking about going anywhere that people congregate is enough to send her hear rate into orbit and cause her sweat glands to over-produce. When her best friend asks her to be her maid of honor, instead of jumping at the chance, she asks to think about it. Can she set aside her anxiety to be there for her friend? She knows she wants to change, but even her years of therapy haven't helped.

Hunter Pickett grew up with every advantage. Gorgeous? Check. Athletic? Check. Wealthy family? Check. The third son in a family of over-achievers, Hunter made his mark by getting in trouble. His life was one big party, complete with drinking, drugs, and any woman he wants, until he lands in jail. a wake up call that turns his life completely around. Now, he's 3 years sober in a dead-end job still trying to find his place in the world. His parents went "no contact" with him, back when he was carousing, so he doesn't feel their support. Landing on Britt's channel is a fluke, but her voice soothes his spirit somehow and she intrigues him. Not only that, he finds that he can finally sleep, something that's been difficult without his former crutches of drugs and alcohol.

As Hunter starts chatting with Britt, he discovers a thoughtful, witty woman that he'd like to know better. When she confides her social anxiety, he thinks he can help her. He talks her into giving him art lessons in exchange for helping with her anxiety. They both still have secrets, but secrets have a way of coming out. When their secrets detonate, more than just their relationship is at risk. Will Britt retreat to her safe space, never to be seen again, or will she finally choose to live?

I loved so much about this story! Britt is all but agoraphobic. She does leave the house, but only goes to places she won't see other people. Yes, she was bullied as a child, but her parents' marriage tipped her over the edge. Now that her dad is sober, he is trying to make amends - which has helped - but it also makes her lie to her mother about who she spends time with. When Hunter steps into her life, she can't believe that a gorgeous man like him could ever be interested in someone like her. Hunter sees all the good things, not the neurotic mess she sees in the mirror. Hunter was a great leading man, in my opinion.

Readers who enjoy contemporary romance with a smattering of faith throughout, will love So Into You. The characters have their quirks and foibles, but they are working through them with grace. I loved the story! I listened to this one through the NetGalley Shelf app, and can definitely recommend the audio version as well!

I needed a good romcom, and So Into You really came through for me! I am enjoying the "secret identity" trope lately, and these characters were great. I feel their careers and interests varied, plus a couple of age groups are covered, so there's something for every reader here. A couple of characters had rough pasts, and I loved the encouragement that came from forgiveness, compassion and new beginnings. I got goosebumps, and I was teary a couple of times, so that's 5 stars from me!

I listened to the audiobook which was well done.

I received this ARC from NetGalley. Opinions are my own.

What a sweet book! It was a little predictable with all of the connections, but I still loved it.

One of my favorite things about this book was that it was told from multiple viewpoints, which added so well to the character development. I thought the aspect of social anxiety was approached very well too.

This was my first read from this author, and it will not be the last!

Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for the advanced copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. All thoughts are my own.

✨ ARC REVIEW ✨
This is a great sweet YA sort of romance book where our FMC Britt is an artist and our MMC Hunter is a working class man. Hunter has had a lot of ups and down in his life but one day he comes across Britt's painting videos. They start talking over texts oh but oh when they actually it is such a cute scene that made me giggle and kick my feet in the air with delight . These two are the cutest couple ever and every single scene where Britt is coming out of her shell more and Hunter helps and he's so patient with her I love that. And the audio narration is on point Melissa does an amazing job with the characters and their different accents. Thank you so much for this ARC

Britt Branch has a successful online channel where she teaches a variety of art lessons. She teaches online because she has severe social anxiety. She lives with her mom, and worries that she might not ever have the courage to move out and move on. When her best friend announces she's getting married and moving away, Britt decides it's time to make a change. Britt's mother has been her life since her mother and father divorced. She recently began communicating with her dad over the phone and texts, but has kept it a secret from her mother. Hunter Pickett has always skated by on his model looks, applying very little effort to anything except sports, but that isn't good enough for his father. The third son of extremely wealthy and successful parents, he dealt with being the black sheep of the family by drinking and using drugs. He is now sober for 3 years, but his family has disowned him. He doesn't know what he wants to do with his life. Late one night he catches Britt's channel and ends up watching her videos. He's not interested in art, but something about Britt calls to him. He sends her an online message and is surprised she responds. Before long they are chatting every day, and once they start meeting in person, a spark-filled friendship begins. As the friendship becomes more, Hunter is worried about what will happen when Britt learns the truth. When Britt's mom finds out about her ex, will she and Britt be able to work through that lack of trust?

This was a wonderful romance with great characters, an interesting an realistic plot and lovely writing. I enjoyed this story and was able to relate to the characters. With alcoholism and addictions playing a huge role, I was happy to see it dealt with realistically. Britt's mom, Amy, was loving and had sheltered Britt for years, but she was also frustrating when it came to sorting things out with Daniel. The secondary characters were also fun, a bit eccentric, but also wonderful and adding much to the story. Of course as romance begins to bloom, there is an incident that causes a rift between them, but with perseverance, understanding and care, all the affected parties are able to work through that. The narration by Melissa Moran was well done. I like her voice, tone and expression and found that she pulled me into the story easily. If you enjoy a good, clean romance that has a bit of depth to it, then I recommend So Into You.

I enjoyed this book! Adding to the appeal was the extra situations of the characters had struggles to overcome. Britt was a successful artist who had YouTube art lessons. She avoided in person art lessons and being around people due to her severe social anxiety. Hunter was a handsome follower who meets her. However handsome he is, he is in a "lowly" job, but from a wealthy family whom he has embarrassed due to his overdrinking and bad behavior. Both Britt and Hunter are slow to reveal their personal problems, which come to a head at Hunter's father's birthday party. You will have to read the book to discover all the other terrible things that happen there! How the story resolves was highly satisfying! Hats off to the author, again, who has written other wonderful books!
I read this book compliments of the publishers. The thoughts expressed are my own.
