We are back, and initially I was super excited and it started strong. The middle had pacing issues and lagged for me. The ending picked up and overall the duo is good just not great

Didn’t excited me as much the beginning was great then at the middle it dragged so I have it 3 stars all together that’s the best I can give it

So happy to be back at Rosenholm Academy with Chamomile, Kirstine, Victoria, and Malou! Forget Me Not delivers an exciting mix of magic, mystery, and myth that kept me hooked from the start. The atmosphere is rich, the stakes are higher, and the dark secrets lurking beneath the surface add a whole new layer of tension.

The murder mystery twist was a great addition, and I loved seeing how the girls’ friendships were tested as things got more intense. Some parts moved a little slowly, but overall, it was a strong and satisfying continuation of the story.

If you enjoyed Roses and Violets, this sequel absolutely delivers more of what made book one so compelling—and then some!

Chamomile, Kirstine, Victoria and Malou are back at Rosenholm Academy to start a new school year. But in addition to the lessons in runic magic, clairvoyance and Norse mythology, the girls also have something completely different to worry about. A crime from the past draws threads to the present, and the girls have committed themselves to solving the murder mystery that casts a shadow over Rosenholm. I thoughly enjoyed this book, I had not read the rest of the series but I definitely need to read it and hope to share it with my students in the library. Thanks to NetGalley for the ebook to preview,

⭐⭐⭐⭐ – Atmospheric, Emotional, and Deeply Engaging

Forget Me Not draws you in with its moody atmosphere, layered characters, and heartfelt storytelling. Gry Kappel Jensen weaves emotion and intrigue into every page, creating a story that lingers long after you finish. A few slower moments aside, it’s a beautifully written and memorable read.

Full disclosure: I did not read the first book (but now I will) so I can't tell you if this builds on the first book or if it adds to it. However, what I can say is that I LOVED this book!! The characters are great - the relationship between the girls is such a good picture of true friendship. And who doesn't love Dark Acadamia mixed with Norse and Greek Mythology? This is simply a great weekend read, it certainly is a book that will be hard to put down.

I loved how this book brought together some of my favorite things including norse mythology, an academia setting, and an intriguing mystery that kept me interested enough to keep picking it up. I will likely go back and read the first book and finish off the series.

I have not read the first book to judge how this one lines up with world building, but I felt it was slightly lacking in this book. The atmosphere was great, but I just wanted a little more world detail (maybe the detail I was looking for was in book one and they didn't want to be repetitive). The characters were all likable and I liked the focus on the friendship. I feel like most books have friends as more of a side note while this felt more like the focus.

Overall I definitely enjoyed it and look forward to reading the other books.

Thank you NetGalley for an early copy of this book!

3.5 ⭐️! We are back at Rosenholm to solve another mystery.
The character friendships deepened in this sequel and we got to learn so much more about them all. Honestly I cared about them so much I didn’t expect to be so invested.
I had just as much fun with this YA mystery-fantasy.
Very simple and interesting to follow with another good satisfying ending.

Rating: ★★★★☆

I really enjoyed this book, and it pulled me in right from the start. This was my first time reading anything by Gry Kappel Jensen, and overall, it was a strong introduction to her work. The Nordic-inspired setting added a unique layer to the murder mystery, and the atmosphere was both moody and intriguing. The characters were well-developed, and the plot had enough twists to keep me turning pages.

There were a few moments where the pacing dipped slightly, but not enough to take away from the overall enjoyment. I'm definitely interested in reading more from this author in the future!

Thanks to NetGalley ARC, Arctis Books USA, and Gry Kappel Jensen for the opportunity to read this early copy!

After the first book, I was hoping Forget Me Not would dive deeper into worldbuilding and develop the characters’ relationships more meaningfully. Unfortunately, the story still feels a bit surface-level, especially when it comes to some of the interactions between teachers and students, which at times felt forced or unrealistic.

The magical setting rooted in Norse mythology remains intriguing, and the blend of murder mystery with runic magic and dark family secrets definitely has potential. However, considering the book’s length, not much really happens, and the pacing drags. The resolution is once again pushed to the third installment, which makes for a frustrating cliffhanger rather than a satisfying conclusion.

The characters are likable but could use more depth, especially the leads. The mix of magic, friendship, and secrets is enjoyable but the emotional connections don’t get enough room to breathe.

Overall, Forget Me Not is a decent follow-up for fans who love Rosenholm and its magical atmosphere, but readers looking for a more gripping and layered story might come away a bit disappointed. I’m still curious to see how the trilogy wraps up, hoping the final book delivers the full potential this series hints at.

Quite some time ago I read the first book in the series. It was a beautiful hardcover and despite its flaws I was quite curious about the rest of the story. So, when I stumbled upon this sequel on Netgalley I had to wish for it! Arctis Books USA was so kind to gift me a copy.

I needed a little time to get back into the book. The first half of the book the story seemed to be all over the place and it was hard to grasp its direction and goals. However, in the end almost everything came together quite nicely. All those small details, all those different storylines, they lead to quite an epic finale with loads of action and most of all emotional impact. I also loved the last few chapters of the book making me really long for more!

The plot and finale make up for the characters. Don't get me wrong. I think they are in a way quite realistic. They're real teenagers, with teenage issues, with secrets, with desires and faults. It's however at times really hard to keep the girls apart. Their voices sound exactly the same, which might be a translation issue, and the writing keeps us a little at a distance with a lot of tell don't show when it comes to their emotions.

However, I can only imagine that the hardcover of this book is once more really pretty. The ebook already was! It doesn't happen often that letters, designed to actually look like letters, are readable when reading digitally, but in this case I could really experience the book the way it was supposed to be experienced. If you enjoyed the first book and wanted more, you will love this sequel and all the twists and turns. And despite some issues, I'm looking forward to the third book!

Thank you for the change to have an ARC of this.
I was supposed but the book.
I thought it would be not my cup of tea but it was a slight and a very unique read.

What a good follow up to book 1! I really enjoyed reading the ARC version of this, especially since I loved book 1. I don't want to give anything away, but i love the friendship between the girl's, every girl needs friends like that. Im a sucker mythology, especially Norse and Greek mythology, so add that to a dark academia atmosphere and you have me hooked! I found this to be a quick read for me and I read it all in one sitting. I really enjoyed this book and I can't wait to get my hands on a physical version for my trophy book shelf!

This was a nice second entry to this series, the stakes are ramped up.
It didn’t catch me quite as much as the first (and the third) one, but it’s still really good.
What I love most about this series is the relationship between the four main characters. The friendships feel real, with all the best friends forever drama there is, when you are around 18-19.
It’s a nice diverse group with both poor and rich, with and without loving supporting families, and they each have destinkt voices.

I am still weirded out a bit by one of the young women having a relationship with her teacher. Noone seems bothered by this. They are very close in age, but still…

I was excited to know, how the murder mystery ends. The author did a great job making the same murder mystery exciting through 3 books :)

A great blend of fantasy, mystery and romance. This book was able to manage it all quite well much to my surprise. It was unique and refreshing from my usual repertoire of reads. Glad I picked it up!

I absolutely enjoyed every minute of this book. This is the first time I have read anything from Gry Kappel Jensen, and I was not disappointed. This was a murder mystery steeped in a Nordic theme. The characters were well written, and the story line was plotted so well. I could not put it down. I can't wait to read more from this author. I highly recommend this book to other thriller/mystery readers.
