Everythings Coming up Rosie is a heartwarming and emotional book that explores the journey of self-discovery, resilience, and the power of community. The story follows Rosie, a young woman whose life is thrown into disarray after her dreams of becoming a professional performer begin to crumble. With her future uncertain, Rosie faces the harsh reality of failure.
At the start, Rosie feels adrift, hiding her reality from her closest friends. The author's portrayal of Rosie's emotional turmoil is realistic and relatable, drawing readers into her search for purpose. As she navigates her new reality, she grows friendships with a group of unlikely people. This "found family" becomes her anchor, offering support, understanding, and the kind of acceptance she had been craving.
What makes this story stand out is its beautiful exploration of how we often find ourselves in the most unexpected places. Each member of Rosie's new family brings something unique to the table, helping her reframe what success and happiness mean. Through the kindness of others, Rosie learns that dreams don’t always go as planned, but that doesn’t mean new ones can’t emerge from the brink of failure.
There are no easy fixes or fairy-tale endings here, which makes Rosie's growth feel all the more believable. Her transformation is slow but authentic, and by the end of the novel, she is no longer the woman who clung to the broken dreams of her past but someone ready to build a future full of new possibilities.

This book was sooooo charming. Rosie and Booker were great main characters with fantastic chemistry but I also really enjoyed the secondary characters, even Arthur. Through Rosie’s story, I found myself thinking about my friendships and career choices and appreciated how Rosie’s failures were perceived by others. I loved the subtle tie in to the Holidays with Hart series (two more adorable books by this author). . I will be purchasing a copy of this book so I can revisit it when it is released. Rating 4.5

I really enjoyed this sweet story, even though it took me a little while to get into it. I loved the setting.all the characters in the story, from Rosie's friends to the quirky residents at the retirement home. Each person brought something unique to the story and grew as a character. I also liked how Rosie connected with Booker and how they helped each other open up. The story teaches us that it's okay to make changes in life and try new things.💞
💖Huge thanks to Netgalley for the Advanced Readers Copy 💖.

This was a great heartwarming story that is very relatable. I don't usually go for closed door romance, but this was done so well with great chemistry and relationship building. It is not easy to write good romance that isn't cheesy and feels like the reader can see themselves in, but Courtney did this effortlessly. The personal growth in his story was also perfectly done.

The premise of this story sounded super fun and I loved the fun and carefree nature of this plot. I wanted to love this one, but it was more of a like than a love. Personal taste issues only! The book was well written and the story itself was engaging. I had a hard time connecting with Rosie, which made this book a bit of a struggle for me. Her willingness to lie to everyone she knows and doesn’t know was a hard pass for me, and her quirky nature bordered a little too close to the oddly immature for my personal taste. I think some readers will find her quirks funny and charming, but they just didn’t hit me right. The retirement community was a great setting and I loved all of the personalities of the older residents!

Loved the concept of this book! It was a slow start but once the story got going, I couldn't put it down! I love Courtney's witty writing style and appreciated the clean, fun book (for a change of my usual blush-worthy titles!) Rosie was very relatable (haven't we all been jealous of friends at some point?!) Definitely add to your TBR!

I loved this one! It was so unique. Courtney Walsh writes some of my favorite books. It was funny and deep with some love.

Oh my goodness, was this just such a gem! Classic Courtney Walsh writing style (which I love). I always know I can get a feel-good romance with no language, sexy without steam, and a happily ever after. I didn't read the description of this book so I was HAPPILY surprised about Rosie getting a job in a retirement community. This book was full of heart, full of music, full of friendship, and full of the perfect romance. I loved so many nods to Broadway and couldn't devour it quick enough.

A great story . Rosie is a struggling actress living in New York with no jobs and now no place to live . When she offered a job as a director of a regional theatre's production of Cinderella she accepts . When she arrives she realises that she has to work at a retirement community with old people . What she didn't believe is that she will love all those new friends she make and that she will finally talk about her secrets which shape her character . And there is Boomer the amazing guy who she tries but fails not fall for him .
I received this book from netgalley , the author and the publicer as an ARC . Thank you . All thoughts and opinions are my own .

Everything’s Coming Up Rosie is a cute, heartwarming, closed door romance.
Many readers (myself included) will be able to relate to Rosie's inner struggles. Watching your friends thrive while you are still trying to figure out who you are and where you want to be. We’ve all been there. Enjoyed the eccentric seniors from the retirement home and her core friend group.
3.5 stars. It had a slow start which took me some time to get into and I wanted some more romance between Booker and Rosie. It wasn't my favorite of hers but it's still a nice fluffy read. I’m looking forward to Courtney's next book.
Thank you NetGalley and Thomas Nelson Fiction for the ARC.

Thank you NetGalley for this ARC of this wonderful story. I adore Courtney Walsh’s books and this did not disappoint. Rose Waterman just wants to make her dream of being an actor a reality. She comes home (after losing her NYC apartment and job) to her bestie’s baby shower and sees all three of her besties doing so well in their lives while her life is totally failing in her mind. She doesn’t let anyone know (including her parents). She takes a job for the summer as a regional theatre director of a production of Cinderella even though she’s only directed once in college. She arrives to the surprise she never expected and she learns more than just directing in this summer adventure. I adore Courtney’s characters and Rosie is no exception. This is a great palate cleanser book that I thoroughly enjoyed and will recommend to anyone!

I’ve said it repeatedly, and I will say it again: Everything Courtney Walsh Writes Is Amazing!
Thank you @tnzfiction for my early copy of @courtneywalsh ‘s upcoming new release, EVERYTHING’S COMING UP ROSIE, out June 10, 2025.
I loved Rosie’s character! She’s an actor living in NYC, and struggling to make ends meet. She has the best friends at home, and she is great at making everyone “think” everything is just FINE!
When Rosie heads home out of desperation, she spends time with her friends, surrounded by their growth as adults and their success. In the midst, she receives an offer to head to Door County, Wisconsin to direct Cinderella with the most motley of casts.
While at the retirement community [p.s. Go ahead and put me on the waiting list- this place sounds FANTASTIC!]She makes the BEST friends, learns so much about herself, and in classic Walsh fashion, we meet the most adorable, elderly supporting characters.

This book was a super fun and quick read! The pacing kept me hooked, and the story was engaging from start to finish. However, I found myself wishing for a bit more romance—it felt like it had the potential for deeper emotional moments but didn’t quite go there. Still, a great pick if you’re looking for something light and entertaining!

Such a sweet and fun story. Typical Courtney Walsh!! This is a closed door romance, but plenty of tension and chemistry.
Solid 4 stars!
Thank you NetGalley and Thomas Nelson Fiction for the ARC in exchange for my honest review!

What a fun romcom this was! I’m new to @courtneywalsh but I have loved getting to know her as an author through her books and this upcoming release is no exception! The setting was adorable (cmon, a romcom set in a retirement community is ripe for amazing characters and plenty of comedic situations). I found Rosie to be relatable and the theatre to be a fun and unique aspect to the story. This will make a great read for your summer TBR!

Releases 6.10.25!

I really enjoyed this cozy romance! I loved meeting the characters of the retirement community. The main character is very relatable because she has been struggling with getting her big break and is watching her friends in her hometown become successful adults. I loved watching her journey as she discovered what she wants to do in her life and what is really important to her.

This was my first book with a storyline focused around theatre/acting and it was SO well done! The writing was phenomenal and the recurring theme of pivoting your life plans, friends, finding your people, and just being yourself were so amazing.
I loved Rosie and found I could relate to her quite a bit actually. Because when things don’t go to what we think is our plan, we just have to pivot and adjust - not totally abort mission and change everything, thus missing out on our dreams!
Booker Hayes was a dreamboat of a sweet man and the whole Sunset Hills community was the BEST family!! Daisy & Louie had me cracking up half the time, Booker’s grandma Bertie, Belinda who was a tough shell to crack, Dylan, a teenager finding who she is, and let’s not forget about Arthur. A true, sweet underdog. I adored all of Rosie’s hometown friends too and related to Taylor in comical ways because I myself am pregnant.
I loved the hometown feels, the adulting/adjusting perspective of what life’s like in your late 20’s, and the Wisconsin setting of where she spent most of her time at throughout the story. This was, overall, chef’s kiss, Courtney!!!
Things worth noting:
-Cinderella theatre production
-Chipmunks
-Golf carts and mud
-Nonfiction Fridays
-Scheming grandma
-Lots of food

This was a very fun read! Especially if you know musical theater. :) This follows Rosie who is desperately trying to make it on Broadway (or any way at this point) but failing. She just got kicked out of her apartment in NY, so decides to just head on home for a baby shower for one of her old high school friends. But she's nervous because she hasn't seen them in forever and they think she's rocking her life--and she knows they are rocking theirs, so she's decided she won't tell them anything about her life. Then she gets a job to be Creative Director at a Theater and show she excitedly lets her friends know.
That's when the fun starts. I absolutely loved Rosie's interactions with all the residents at the senior facility. I loved how she grew as a person under the experience she had. And the changes she made to step into who she was--traumatic past and all.
Again--though it's labelled at a Christian Fiction, it's just a solid clean read. No inspirational scriptures or insights. characters don't even go to church.

I didn't know anything about this book when I started but I have read other books from Courtney Walsh that I have enjoyed. Little did I know that I would fall in love with this book. Thank you to the publishers and NetGally for this Advanced Release copy. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

I absolutely loved reading Everything’s Coming Up Rosie! It was everything I expected the book to be and more. It had me reminiscing about the days when I worked at a retirement community. I still think about some of the residents from my time there, even though it’s been more than 15 years.
My only complaint would be that the book was not longer. Not because it was missing anything, but because I’m so sad that it’s over and I miss Rosie and Arthur and Booker and everyone else already.
I don’t know how Courtney Walsh does it, but she’s the queen of weaving together a great story. The characters, the details, the banter - it is all done so well. She makes me laugh and she makes me cry in the best way. Anything she writes is always an auto buy for me.
Thank you so much to Thomas Nelson Fiction for the advanced copy. All opinions expressed above are my own.
