This book is everything I love about fall wrapped into one heartwarming story. Isabelle Popp delivers a sweet, funny, and endearing romance that feels like a warm hug on a crisp October day. The writing is fresh and witty, and the characters feel like people you’d want to hang out with in real life.

What really stood out was the atmosphere Popp does an incredible job of bringing the autumn setting to life. You can practically smell the cider and hear the crunch of leaves underfoot. The story has just enough tension and tenderness to keep you invested, while still feeling light and comforting.

Whether you’re a die hard fan of fall or just in the mood for a charming romance with small town vibes and seasonal flair, this book is a must read. It’s cozy, clever, and completely satisfying.

Let’s Give ’Em Pumpkin to Talk About is an absolute autumn delight! Isabelle Popp weaves a warm, cozy story filled with charm, witty banter, and just the right amount of small town drama. The setting is picturesque and festive, making it perfect for fans of pumpkin patches, flannel shirts, and a good seasonal romance.

The characters are instantly likable and relatable, each with their own quirks and heartfelt moments that make the story both fun and meaningful. There’s a great balance of humor and emotional depth, keeping the pace steady and engaging from start to finish.

Whether you’re reading this during fall or just need a little seasonal magic any time of year, this book is a feel good treat. Highly recommended for fans of lighthearted romance, cozy vibes, and stories that feel like a warm mug of cider.

I really enjoyed reading this book! It was short and sweet, very seasonal, and had some fun spice to it. One of my big gripes with romance novels is the miscommunication trope and this one did a great job of navigating it. The characters actually talked and worked through things when they had issues. That scratched an itch I didn't know I needed. I loved the passion for squash, as I grow squash every year...maybe not as diligently as they do, but still with gusto. I honestly laughed a lot and really enjoyed this romantic squash romp through Indiana. If you are looking for a cozy spicy read for the Fall, this fits the bill.

Stuck in a creative funk we find our FMC volunteering to help on the family Pumpkin patch to prove her worth to her disbelieving father. Turmoil strikes and she is forced to work with the sunshine next door neighbor. The spice between these two could ignite the pumpkin patch. She is the one in control and he is more than happy to let her have free reign. This story gives you the cozy feels but man is it SPICY.
Cozy fall read with SPICE and more than just the pumpkin kind! She likes to be in control and he is willing to do anything she wants, just to be close to her.

The story is in 3rd person POV so it was a bit hard for me to stick with personally. You do know the characters thoughts and feelings so that definitely helped.

This book takes place over the summer and it covers a whole lot of time in a few pages. Fast paced with multiple spicy scenes if that is what you are looking for.

FMC faces past family turmoil and the woes of coming back home to small town USA. The MMC is very much Golden retriever just wanting FMC to love him.

A quick and cozy Autumn read! 🍁

Starting off, the prose is really well done. For a debut author you can tell she knows what she’s doing!

The first half I wasn’t sure if our MMC (Josh) and FMC (Sadie) had much chemistry, and I didn’t find myself rooting for them often…but honestly once the story got rolling, I ended up loving them together so much.

There were also times I felt the plot was either not moving along greatly, or just jumping around a bit/felt random. Like the spice scenes. They didn’t feel like they fit, but to be transparent I love how they weren’t your typical spice scenes (yes you will have to read this for yourself if you wanna know the deets… 😏)

(This book overall wasn’t for me in a lot of ways but it gets three stars because I know how hard it is to not only write a book, but to publish it too).

Thank you NetGalley, Harlequin, and Isabelle Popp for this ARC e-copy to review!

Just finished this delightful book. This is a romance full of cozy midwestern fall vibes between two unlikely people. Sadie is wears all black and is visiting her hometown to help out her dad with his prize pumpkin growing ventures while trying to figure out her next step in her art career. Josh is the Silicone Valley success turned farmer who lives next door. The book starts with a crushing disappointment for Sadie and Josh steps in to help. Their relationship takes some time to develop, but I really enjoyed the complexity of not only the two main characters but also the surrounding cast. You don't always get so much emotional texture in romance novels, but this one really has it in spades. I was a little sad to find out this was Popp's first published book because I wanted to immediately seek out her other books. So I guess she's just going to have to write more. :)

Don't worry. I can wait.

A solid 3.5 stars.

When Sadie Fox moves back to her quaint hometown to tend to her father’s beloved pumpkin patch while he's away, she plans to stay only for the summer. As someone who’s always felt like an outsider in her own town, Sadie isn’t exactly thrilled to be home—especially when a herd of wild hogs completely destroys the patch. Yes, the entire thing.

Enter Josh: her dad’s new neighbor, a former tech millionaire who swapped his sleek city office for overalls and a passion for growing gourds. As fate (and fall magic) would have it, he offers to help her rebuild the pumpkin patch—and maybe a little more.

This story had all the classic grumpy x sunshine vibes, with a refreshing twist: Sadie is the grump, and Josh is the sun-drenched cinnamon roll who’s totally smitten with her. I absolutely loved the role reversal and Josh’s soft obsession. The setting was charming, full of cozy autumn touches.

The pacing was quick, which made it a fun read, though I did wish a few parts were more fleshed out—especially Sadie’s relationship with both of her parents. Some scenes, particularly the spicier moments, felt a bit rushed. And while I enjoyed the story overall, I really wish it had been written in first-person dual POV. That would’ve added depth and helped the emotional beats land more solidly.

Still, this is a sweet, swoony read with a festive fall setting that makes it perfect for cozying up with a blanket and a pumpkin latte. If you love small-town romance, grumpy curvy heroines, and autumn vibes with just the right touch of spice, definitely add this one to your fall TBR.

Thank you to NetGalley and Harlequin Romance for the ARC. All thoughts are my own. 🍂🎃

This was a cute fall book and I absolutely loved the aesthetics of it! This book was funny, cute, a bit spicy, and full of the best type of banter.

I loved the grumpy x sunshine dynamics in this book, and they made for such an interesting and fun dynamic. I loved reading about their relationship and it felt so real.

Thank you so much to Netgalley, the publisher, and the author for an arc!

I thought this book was great! Cute, funny, charming, spicy, and reflective. I loved the main characters, and the plot was entertaining!

Pros: I personally really related to Sadie (curvy, black cat, dominant, artsy), and my partner is similar to Josh (golden retriever energy, submissive, giver, charming). This definitely made the book super likable for me. I thought the spicy scenes were great and accurate for a femme dom/masc sub dynamic. Character development was great for all characters. Once the plot picks up, it's fast-paced and entertaining!

Cons: For some reason, the 1st chapter was really hard to get through for me... so much so that I was rolling my eyes and didn't want to keep reading. I found the intro really cheesy, and the writing seemed different once you got 2-3 chapters in. I may have to go back and re-read the first chapter now that I've finished the book, just to see if that still holds true.

2.5 stars. Not really my kind of romance book, but it wasn’t all bad.

Overview: Sadie Fox is called back to her hometown to take over her dad’s pumpkins. Josh is Sadie’s now-neighbor who’s a ray of sunshine in Sadie’s otherwise gloomy life. After a tornado and the resulting destruction and kiss, not necessarily in that order, Sadie moves into Josh’s house and takes over growing one of his pumpkins for the big pumpkin competition. Josh and Sadie spend a lot of time together growing pumpkins and, eventually, feelings begin to bloom despite Sadie’s best efforts.

Thoughts: This book is quite a bit spicier than what I usually read, but I probably could’ve figured that out with a bit more digging. I did skip over most of the spice, and there’s a lot of it so if that’s what you like, this book’s for you. Otherwise, I liked the characters, especially Grace, and the whole pumpkin contest thing. Sadie and Josh just couldn’t catch a break, but they pushed through. However, I feel like for most of the book, Sadie and Josh’s relationship was more obsession and lust than love. On Josh’s side, I really do think it turned into love, I just couldn’t see Sadie loving Josh through her POV. Overall, it’s not a bad book, just not my style.

First book I’ve read by this author and I was genuinely impressed. The characters were well defined and well written. It was also nice to read a book without grammatical errors. I will definitely recommend this book to my friends and family. 4.5 ⭐️

never read romance books (and that's intentional) but I was like ok why not read this one because it's free on netgalley and the pumpkin stuff sounds fun

basically its about this girl who grew up on a pumpkin farm in Indiana and her romance with this former tech guy who moved to Indiana to live out his stardew valley farmer fantasy. he runs a buisness called joshes squashes... and he developed a video game about romancing crabs called (no joke) pinchy boi.

I think if you're a romance book person, you might like this. I don't typically enjoy books where the whole plot is just romance, but did enjoy reading this at times. however, it is spicy or whatever so keep that in mind...

overall I did like how the setting felt very present at all times. it was fun to read the farm atmosphere.

the main characters were ok, neither came across as especially special to me. the author did include nonbinary representation (secondary character) which I hadn't come across much before in general. there were definitely some lines that took me out of the story because they were particularly cringy or annoying...but I feel like that just might be part of this genre. sadie's not like the other girls, she's a black cat, she hisses, etc.

but if you think you might enjoy this book then go ahead and read it.

thanks to netgalley for the free arc

((Side note if you just want my LETSS factor (Language, Entertainment/Emotional, Triggers,Sex & Spice) scores an levels skip to second to last paragraph. Hope this helps those not wanting to be spoiled but needing some basic parameters so they can decide if the type of plot is for them. As a reader I would find myself skimming dozens of reviews just to see if they mentioned how much spice or humor was in the book. I don't mind the first if the second part is strongly met. All of my reviews will have those scores from here out. ))

Popp has a very keen understanding of how and why people do things like push others away or even more evasive are overly nice. Josh has the understanding of why he tends to try to do to much to fast coming over overly earnest in any relationship, this thought process hit home for me. Teaching me something that I did an never could pin down why.
The human aspect of the story has this deep dive into feeling, actions and desires without ever taking away from the moment and movement of the story.

Pumpkin and weaving aspect was so intriguing. I learned so much about both the growing of great orange squash and things like you can weave with plant fibers, phone cords and in the exact beige of an influencer's backside. I loved how something like the discussion about how communities accepting EVERYONE for themselves made it this safe place, played through out this whole storyline.

Causal, natural talk and thoughts about not only sex but past relationships, same sex dating, binary gender and outside the typical society living that was so perfectly natural, placed in without feeling forced, something I wish was the norm more often. "Sure I had sex with him or this women I used to date liked that type of art but we drifted apart after deciding we wasn't working out."

The sexy and spicy scenes in this book were so very different then what I have been reading lately. They were realistic, straight forward without flowery words or overly exaggerated, so perfect and mess free that it never feels real. Loses that human concept an connection.
Sadie an Josh being so different and so much more real then I normally read, gave me high hopes. Popp not only met them but blew my mind, like Sadie blew her ex. (transactional: give me your time and I will give you what you really want.)

Simple, raw, and so realistic (like actually doable) that you don't have to be a porn star or a circus performer to relate to and there for get into it. From the needing to establish boundaries, the straight forward talk, being emotionally /physically vulnerable, having to actually learn each other's triggers (both good an bad) it all came across so different in it's freedom of stripped down dirty, hot real as f*ck sex. Damn, was so fresh that I, who has gotten into the habit of skimming these parts, had to read every word an could whole heartedly imagine every drip of ...mhhmmhh um sweat.
Popp uses blatant descriptions and rather real life day to day course language.

Ok so LETSS score this one up for the those who just needs to know the basics fast.

LANGUAGE -8 I would have to say a hearty 8. It's not Mother f-ing or calling people Runt with a C but Popp doesn't shy from saying exactly what's on the characters mind, explicitly and talks about adult fun time without bothering to sugar coating censoring the how's, whys and good stuff. Also nice natural mentions of those in the LGBTQ+ community.

ENTERTAINMENT - 10, Seriously I was a little worried how much fun would there be in little town Indiana focusing on pumpkins, the overly nice guy next door, a lead who could've came off as a unlikable stuck up bitch an the local farmers market for a good time... I was so wrong. Sadie's acidy but witty come backs. Josh seeing her attempts at brutal attacks more like a cute puppy cutting teeth a little to hard. All unexpected drama caused by a Lady Misfortune putting Sadie into her place of the second baddest bitch in town. Plus tons of laughs brought on from side characters and side quests. I was pleasantly surprised to find my self laughing and being impressed by some well timed "burns."

TRIGGERS- 5, Sure there is some parental/ childhood issues. Some pretty strong self doubts, soul searching and trying to figure out why someone is the way they are, if they are really that incurable and trying to learn to new healthier habits. There is a little nature drama and talks that leaves characters feeling bare / vulnerable. But nother overly sensitive or traumatic to make the points of the plots. Just enough pressure to feel the emotions and struggles are real, to leave the reader trying to figure out how it will all turn out.

SEX & SPICE -9, A big ol pumpkin sized 9. Once that becomes an option there is quite a lot of hot an heavy adult activities. Not a book for a younger audience and not a book to listen to at work!!! The scenes are not dozens of pages of fluff and fancy talk though. The sex is natural, hot, blatant and descriptive. Spice level is off the charts in a way that somehow feels like less is way hotter than more. Naked, bare, raw and real the sex in this book is so fresh and warrants a read simply based on quality of the writing of it, aside from all the rest of the plot.

Fun, Real, Raw, Spicy but Sweet, Inclusive and Personal... Those are some perfect words to describe this wonderful, fresh and utterly beautifully written book about to wholly real people who just oddly fit together if they can get out of their own complicated minds to do so.

Check it out, I will be looking for more of her books in the near future. I am so happy that thanks to NetGalley for allowing me to ask to be an ARC for this title.

A small town/fall vibes rom com with banter, sass and a lot of (cough pumpkin) spice.

The narrator does a good job of the different voices needed and had great tempo. The narration was clear and concise. I was able to listen to this audiobook at the lower end of my preferred speed and I was able to understand everything clearly and follow along well. While the audiobook narrator didn't stand out as a top favorite to me I didn't have any big complaints about the narration in general.

Short Synopsis:
Sadie is called back to Pea Blossom to tend to her father's award winning pumpkin patch. A short term hiatus during which she intends to fix her artists block, see her sister and win the spice pumpkin weighing contest. She didn't plan on her pumpkins being destroyed or falling for her dad's tech millionaire neighbor. But Sadie can't wait to go back to LA where there's decent tacos and no one snarks are her edgy bob and black clothing. Will Sadie uproot her entire life for love?

General Thoughts:
This audiobook was pretty adorable. This is going to be a great read for the fall months as the leaves turn and pumpkin spice reigns supreme again. With lots of spice and an adorable plot line, it's a quick and satisfying read.

I feel like the characters were pretty realistic and made decisions that made sense to their personality. Sadie was a fun character and I loved her alternative style and grumpy demeanor. I felt the character growth was most prominent with Sadie. Josh was a ball of sunshine and generous to a fault. It was fun watching these characters play off of each other.

One of the subplots was a little silly to me. The retaliation for the destroyed pumpkins seemed like it could have been totally eliminated with zero repercussions to the overall plot. It just felt out of place to me with everything else going on. However, I did enjoy the talks of art and the various cultural elements involved in textiles. I wish there had been more of that. I would have liked to see more resolution between Sadie and her father. But it also didn't seem lacking within the text. Just a personal preference.

Overall, I really enjoyed the novel and I won't be opposed to reading more by the author in the future.

Disclaimer: I read this book as a free audiobook through the Harlequin Audio and NetGalley . All opinions are my own. This is my honest and voluntary review.

A billionaire romance set in a small town that's also about pumpkin-related competition? It's just quirky enough to work!

Sadie is a little edgy. Josh is a lot of sunshine.
Love’s about to catch them completely off gourd. This was a fun and quirky small town fall romance that makes you almost smell the pumpkin spice. This was a well written story about second chances, being vulnerable, and finding meaning in the small things. The narrator did an excellent job bringing the characters and story to life… I enjoyed listening to the way she performed her magic while voicing the different characters. Highly recommend!

This was a cute, fall ish cozy love story between a girl trying to gain her father’s love and the farm neighbor looking for a sense of belonging. There was nothing remarkable about it the story but it was sweet and cute and would be a great fall time palette cleanser!

Did not expect the steam of this from the cute title but definitely not complaining. Absolutely loved seeing the characters grow as they connected with each other and reconnected with themselves.
